"Who then becomes the arbiter for what's acceptable and what's not?" Appointed judges in court, according to agreed upon laws on what constitutes slander, insult, coercion, threat or agitating crowds into violence. I don't think I needed to compensate my sexual experience through other advantages for my partner. I think he actually liked the fact that I was sexually experienced. He does state on OKCupid that he likes "slutty types" and prefers partners with "equal or more sexual experience". I d…

No, it doesn't? Even if she had been aware, and had requested coming while having a penis inside of her anyway, I wouldn't go along with it, as it is irresponsible.

I have in fact often been very attracted to guys that are shorter than me. I have gone on a fifth date with a guy a lot shorter than me, had a wonderful one night stand with a guy considerably shorter than me, and have been in relationships with guys me size, and slightly (1-2 cm) under. The American fetish for free speech frankly confuses me. In my country (Germany), we also think it is of utter importance that people can criticise their government, that there is public debate. But we don't hav…

In fact, most modern democracies agree with me that humans have an inalienable right to be treated respectfully. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_dignity#Proclamations_and_conventions In my country, the inviolability of human dignity is in fact the foundation of our constitution. That is why, even if you are a criminal, we will not insult you you. And so you do agree that sperm-competition for impregnating a woman is the origin of your feeling that promiscuous females are disgusting, and that …

"Studies not needed." So the empirical reality is irrelevant for your assessment? Of course stability is important for kids. But who said a poly family is unstable? There are triads that last decades, so in that situation you have three adults that are responsible for the child, there for it, supporting it, giving it stability, all of them taking on parent responsibility. Poly people tend not to expose children to potential additional casual partners - just like single Mums won't introduce their…

Of course I have no right to your sexual desire of me. But I have a right to be treated respectfully. You can say "I don't find girls with sexual experience hot" - so what? Saying "Girls with sexual experience have no value and don't deserve respect" is a different matter altogether. And I am surprised by you saying that the contraception/pregnancy argument is irrelevant, seeing as slut-shaming goes back to sperm-competition. How is sperm-competition relevant if pregnancy is impossible? What are…

Of course I am emotionally invested in this. I respect myself, and the logical conclusion of your argument is that I shouldn't respect myself because I have enjoyed sex with several amazing people I loved. But does this make my criticism of your arguments invalid? You are committing a classic argumentative fallacy - argumentum ad naturam, confusing what is natural with what is good. I am neither a slave of my genetic programming, nor of protestant ideology. With modern contraception, it is irrat…

I have by now discovered: Your sister subreddit, where your wives discuss that they should be doing all the household work (possibly excepting supposedly "manly" tasks like changing lightbulbs) even when they have a full-time job and kids to take care of. If not helping in the household is constitutive of great men, I don't get on very well with great men. Your posting rules and guidelines Your April 2014 direction of this sub post, which gives me advice on how to manipulate women into having se…

Well, that is where we disagree. I am a feminist - I believe that men and women should be treated equally (which goes both ways - e.g., I think as long as we force men into the military, we should also force women in there, and that how little say men have over what happens with their kids in case of a divorce is blatantly scary; I also want men who do housework to be respected), I see both of them as fundamentally just people, and I wouldn't generally judge a person to be crappy for being promi…

I think a lot of men in my community are loosing this, though. For example, at a recent SM camp, there was this beautiful 23-year old attending with her boyfriend. She had "sexual inexperience" written all over her shy, sweet personality. For the first day, everyone talked about this beautiful, shy thing. The two actually did a public flagellation session, and it was certainly one of the ones that was most strongly attended at the camp, and many people were digging how inexperienced and overwhel…

My one partner is a biologist, and a fascinating book on evolution and sociology was among those he gave me for my last birthday, so I am probably familiar with what you are saying. But I think there is a big difference between behaviours we are biologically programmed towards, and behaviours that we find morally desirable. As I am sure you are aware, the biologically sensible behaviour for a man is to spread his genes far and wide - including cheating on his committed monogamous partner. I am a…

Well, I know that I think my SOs are great men according to my definition, but I am getting the impression that your definition of a great man and mine differs strongly, and that I totally haven't figured yours out yet. Could you help me with understanding yours?

I think my original post was somewhat over the top. I don't expect men to sit there, passively, trying to look inconspicuous, waiting for girls to come up for them and proposition them for sex - this would just be turning a silly dynamic the other way around. I have had this very thing happen with shy guys, but it was strenuous and confusing for me as well. My point was taking the communication a woman gives on her sexual interests seriously, and letting flirting be a two-way-street. Of course, …

But the harm isn't the women openly enjoying sex, or feminism supporting them in this - it is the fact that society will discriminate them for it, and teach their potential partners that they are now damaged goods.

Most women I know do... But then, I am part of a very sex-positive social circle, where sexual experience in men and women isn't viewed as something negative. My partners certainly have lots of options, and have picked exactly me - not because they settled, but because we were great matches. Especially with my one partner who does love casual sex a lot, I cannot imagine a virgin being very happy in a relationship with him, or him with her. I wouldn't want to be with anyone who would respect me l…

I apologise for the downvote train, I have discussed this conversation on a feminist, sex-positive subreddit, and naively assumed that asking people not to go on a downvote parade added to the fact that you guys require people to subscribe before being able to upvote would prevent this from happening. I didn't mean to silence the man who disagreed with me, or break reddit rules. But to get to your point - you are saying that because you are not commonly approached for sex, women clearly do not a…

Huh. Not quite sure which part you are debating here. They most certainly do share me. I mean, I feel the different dicks in my pussy, you know? So I am pretty sure about that part. And the other stuff... I am trying to think of an elaborate setup where they just pretend to be rich and smart, but... well, this would realistically take quite a lot of brains and money. As to them faking being good-looking, strong, or great in bed... how would that even work?
/r/TheRedPill05/08/14 04:46 PM

Well, I couldn't imagine greater men in any other aspects - intelligent, good-looking, strong, amazing (!) in bed, rich, funny, knowledgable, not to mention the fact that there is mutual love, respect and appreciation, as well as shared interests and goals. The fact that they are open to letting me see others is the cherry on the cake. And after all, so can they. They get all the love and stability they need from a relationship, while they can still pursue wild weekends full of one-nights-stands…

But I am with a great man. Two, in fact. They both know exactly what I am doing, and are as fine with that as I am fine with them seeing others girls as well. All parties were honest with each other from the start.

Are you honestly bragging about the fact that you tricked a strange girl into unprotected sex? Sounds irresponsible for her health, and yours.

I am aware I can't "stop you" with force - if you are bugging me in a train, this is not illegal, and usually, even replying with aggression on my part (shouting at you, slapping you) would be completely over the top - all I can do is politely ask you to leave me and other girls in peace, again and again. I was - stupidly - assuming that you might be a considerate human being, who would be interested in behaving in a way towards other human beings that didn't constantly annoy them. I was hoping …

With the newest guy I am seeing since April, I chatted him up on a dating website, I asked if I could hug him, I kissed him first, I asked him to have sex with me. Similar starts have been had for most of my long-term partners. I guess I am just not noticing my "extreme stress and anxiety" in the process? Please don't "cowboy the fuck up and approach". I am approached several times every day while commuting in public transport, when I just want to get to work while reading my book, and it bugs t…

My other significant other actually keeps an excel spreadsheet. He started that after a really awkward moment where he was talking to a girl and was like "We have known each other for so long and get on so well, I have no idea why we have never ended in bed with each other!" and she got furious, because they had, and he had forgotten... He was embarrassed as hell, and started taking notes then. Because he is a bit of a nerd, it ended with lots of graphs, he was noting down age and where he had m…

Would you say that a man who has slept with twenty women is "sick" or "kinda disgusting"? I am also confused about you thinking that women like me are whores - I assure you I never received any payments. I wanted sex with these men because they intrigued me, I asked for it, and didn't regret having if afterwards. And of course I used protection. And before me and any long-term partners go without protection, we both get tested. I would never want someone I love to get sick.

The guys I end up sleeping with are the guys who respond with "Totally fine, tell me when you are sure you want to." And I do, and we have great consensual sex then. Why would I be shitting you on this? On the rare occasions where I have made up my mind about wanting to sleep with someone very quickly because we connected that way, I was quite happy to tell them that I would love to get physical right away, and I have yet to receive a negative reaction to that. If someone tried to push me into h…

As for relationships stability... Rubin and Adams (1986) found no statistically significant difference in stability between sexually open and sexually closed couples. For more anecdotal evidence, here is a thread on r/polyamory where people mention long-term poly couples they know.

As I said, very few studies so far, the problems also being that the sample sizes are small, the people are volunteering, they are often based on questionnaires rather than direct observation, and that polyamory correlates with white, middle class families, which of course comes with advantages for children. But so far, it is looking quite good. Three adults raising children together can pool resources together. Imagine going on a date with your wife right after the child is born, because your g…

If I practice safer sex, preventing pregnancies and STIs, how do I trade away future gains through enjoying wonderful sex with a diversity of people?
/r/TheRedPill05/08/14 02:06 AM

Absolutely, I actively seek poly people, after all, so I am aware that I would get a subjective impression that there are more poly people about than there truly are when considering the total population size. But what we are discussing here isn't how common polyamory is - I am aware it is uncommon - but whether "easy sex destroys pair bonding" and "stops men from settling down" - from my experience with the poly couples I know, and the few studies that have been done, I would claim the opposite…

You might have a point there, of course - I love my relationship, and of course I will notice other happy people in my community more often. Poly is not yet common enough for serious scientific evaluation, but the first studies that have been conducted point to stable partnership bonds, and positive effects on kids raised in poly families. If you are interested, I will look them up - as I said, they are only a handful so far.

Anecdotes? I am in a poly relationship myself, and personally have an large social circle of friends in happy, long-term poly relationships.

That is absolutely wrong. You will find polyamorous couples on reddit that have happy, stable families and strong pair bonds, although both of them have a lot of amazing sex outside of the relationship.

You guys disgust me. What is shameful about a person who enjoys sex? Why would you shame someone who does so, just because they are female? I gather from this subreddit that you guys are also very interested in sex, and greatly profit from girls that enthusiastically consent to having sex with you - and now you are telling me that you are trying to get them to do something which will essentially lead to you thinking less of them?
