This narrative is false.. some people are desperate, sure but a lot of heavier people are actually more stand offish because they know how they are viewed.

I’ve done it a few times, but honestly I was just being polite and didn’t want to hurt their feelings. I was too nervous to give a fake number because I have heard of people calling it right away to make sure. I would answer back for a little bit and then kinda drop off. Which I know might not be great, but I just felt bad and didn’t want to reject them. Now I just say “no, but thank you” or “I have a boyfriend, sorry”. If it was someone I thought was really attractive or just seemed really funn…

I’m not one of those girls who discriminates on height, I am 5’3 so I just want a guy taller than me really. I wouldn’t even want someone too tall. I do empathize with that, my brother is a short king and he’s had one girlfriend- but he also has a lot of mental health issues. I wouldn’t even think 5’7 is short 🫤Personality and confidence goes a long way with women. I know lots of guys who aren’t “attractive” but their personality got them “attractive” girls. I don’t want to rot alone either so I…

You’re generalizing all women, and it’s simply not the truth. When I was overweight I straight up didn’t even date anyone for a couple years and I was invisible anyway. Didn’t expect anything from men, didn’t even want to try. It was interesting how fat men would also treat me like I was invisible as if they weren’t fat too. Literally no empathy. Men also have unrealistic standards and can be shallow. Neither gender is a monolith. A lot of women I know go for personality over looks, a lot of men…

And you’re proving us right, a lot of the “options” are garbage unless you’re looking for casual sex

What are you even talking about? I’m well aware of the obesity problem and the health risks associated. You’re assuming every obese person has health problems that cost you money which isn’t true. There’s obese people who are healthier than skinny folks. They are more at risk for health problems but doesn’t mean they have them. Never admitted it “costs more”, simply acknowledging that taxpayers do pay for health care related costs, not just for obese people. Seems like you’re trying to solely bl…

Ah yes, only a child wouldn’t know about that! All adults know every stat about health and economics. Like I said, obese people are the ones paying the most financially. Individually, it doesn’t cost you like you’re trying to portray it does. You act as if skinny people don’t have health issues that can end up costing taxpayers as well.

It’s funny you chose to address me as “kid” even what I called you “sir” which shows your level of maturity. Anyways, obese people pay higher insurance. The people who are most financially affected are the obese people themselves.

Yes human rights issues fall under social justice, maybe read a fucking book. Cop out? You mean what you’ve been doing since you chose to reply to my comment? Lmao

Except it was. Like I said, look at pictures of protest and events, look at donations, look at stats and other data, look on social media. You will see that everyday women are more engaged in social justice and it’s not just for “womens issues”. & thank you for proving my point, a man has to be a “male feminist” to support womens issues according to you. Women don’t have to be “mra ”, they’ve been supporting various social issues that include men. Most men do not go out of their way to support w…

How many “male feminist” are there? Extremely small amount. So your claim that “men support women issues far more than women support mens issues” is not backed up at all.

Where’s the proof of that? Because I see the opposite.

When observing couples on a weight loss journey, the man almost always loses the weight faster. As you said, the lean muscle mass and hormone differences are a big factor. Higher metabolic rate may increase your hunger, but you still burn off easier with less effort. Women also tend to hold most of their weight in the hips/thighs area, which tends to be harder to remove fat from. Estrogen promotes the accumulation of fat. Oestrogen reduces womens ability to burn energy after eating. Our hormones…

How many men do we see in the crowds at women’s March? How many everyday men actually speak out and publicly support and donate to women’s issues? Very few. Yet women are always there in protests and online and actively fighting for issues that affect both genders. Anyone can go look up photos or engagement stats from these events. Women would and do support mens issues. Whenever I see go fund me campaigns or other similar platforms it’s usually dominated by womens names, sprinkled with some mal…

Agree! They just don’t advocate for themselves the same way that historically oppressed groups have learned too. I would 100% support a male body positivity movement. It’s wild to me some are trying to blame women that these male positivity movements don’t exist or have traction. I think the real issue is they know the “alpha” males would roast them
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 05:31 PM

Yes we are, because our bodies have extra layers of fat and are designed in a way which makes it easier for us to gain and harder to lose than a man. Whoever says otherwise is misinformed

Sir where is the proof that fat people are “clogging up the medical system”, especially anymore so than skinny people? That’s the only evidence you’ve offered to how you’re directly impacted, and it’s bullshit

They literally proved your point. Men hold other men back in social justice issues. We have some complaining that women don’t start the movement for them and then another saying we don’t do that cause we don’t lie to each other, LOL. They really act like women aren’t always on the streets protesting and doing the most for all kinds of issues that affect both genders. Rarely do we see men in these crowds unless it affects them directly!! Sad

No it’s because men aren’t asking for a body positivity movement. It’s typically women who front social justice issues. Men hold other men back in these areas, I’m guessing fear of being called “beta” or something. Start it and I promise you a whole lot of females will support it. The idea that we only want gym rats is so far from the truth, just go out in the real world and look at couples. I’m actually anti gym rat I find too much muscle and gym obsession unhealthy.

Damn, slightly overweight being called pre-obese would be depressing lmao

This is a valid point, but just want to say it’s easier for women to be fat then men. And it’s easier for men to lose the weight too. Women have more medical issues like thyroid problems than can make weight gain easier and loss harder. Women tend to be shorter which is also a factor as taller people usually have higher metabolism, Birth control and other medicines are also a factor. But yes, healthier lifestyle is always an option and people do need to be realistic about that.

Newsflash fat men do this shit all the time too. Have a big old gut and are calling women fat and ugly. Are people supposed to walk around with their head down depressed?

Clearly you’re upset downvoting me, sorry :) nice job putting words in my mouth, never said you had to pay for the sins of those before you. Demographics change, views change, and people are tired of everything being centered about a small group. Making room for others is not an attack on you. It’s evening out the playing field. This sub is full of blanket statements, the same kind of statements painting men with one brush that y’all get mad about. It’s ridiculous. The tone you have chosen to re…

It’s only in more recent history women have been heard and believed and started getting any kind of justice for these disgusting crimes and y’all are losing it. Our society shitted on amber, we don’t condone false claims. What do you suggest? How do people report DV or SA? Should they not be believed right away? The only alternative I see is giving the defendant more privacy until investigations are done. The issue with that though is they can reoffend to the unknowing public.

You really can’t think of why people want more diversity in their workplaces? White male perspective has been at the forefront for the longest time. In ways that have been harmful to others. Harassment based on race and gender have been happening for far too long, under guess who? White males.are white men inherently bad? No, of course not. But the culture has been centered around them for a long time and it’s not acceptable anymore. That being said, there shouldn’t be discriminated against them…

When have they needed it? Are they in danger of getting pregnant and being forced to carry and deliver a baby that could kill them?

Not you confirming most people in this sub are mad white men 😂 the hypocrisy here. The blanket statements. The assumptions. Jesus Christ. Extreme feminists and mens rights are one in the same. Both genders have bullshit to deal with. Y’all can’t handle women having an “advantage” in a few areas when y’all have had those advantages for the longest time. It’s called catching up.

It’s not that subjective. Most people can easily agree when someone is behaving or looking creepy. I see you’re very set in your way of thinking so there’s really no point. I understand you probably come from a place of frustration and what not. Women have to be able to report sexual assault and the like. It’s a very real thing that happens frequently. I don’t really consider it a power we have over men. A tiny fraction of us would ever consider lying about something like that, and those who do …

I think the idea of a woman claiming sexual assault for just approaching them is a big over exaggeration. Most sexual assaults don’t even go reported. Either way, I can understand not wanting to do it, possible rejection sucks. Unfortunately there are some women out there who do make false claims, but I think our society really pushes back on that. We were not kind to amber heard when the facts where presented. Whatever is more comfortable, online/in person. But I don’t think you really need to …

I never downvoted you. & I’m the one who is saying each gender has their own dating challenges and you said you disagree, and just generally seem pretty set in your own opinion as well. I am open to a convo. I know some women have ridiculous standards and expectations, but I also know many men do as well. You’d be surprised how many conventionally unattractive men expect someone way out of their league and completely ignore those more on their level. Either way, best of luck.

Men have higher standards too now. They go on Instagram and all that just the same and compare women to IG models with tons of surgery. It’s not exactly easy for women either, unless you are very fortunate to be naturally gorgeous. & the pressure to find a responsible guy is intense, otherwise if you get pregnant and they leave, you’ll be pressed to find a partner for the rest of your life and be judged extremely hard for being a single mom. Both genders have their woes
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 06:36 PM

That’s very dramatic. Most women would not scream or whatever you’re saying. It’s more likely they’d politely get out of it because that’s what most of us do when someone approaches and we aren’t comfortable.

A lot of rich people are rich because they are frugal. I go to Walmart all the time, why would I pay more for something I can get somewhere else cheaper? I don’t care about aesthetics or whatever excuse people use not to go there. I buy certain things elsewhere, but overall if it’s cheaper and the same thing I’m going to Walmart lol
