I'm just guessing. Our perspectives are typically formed by our personal experiences. I've never seen a moderately sociable guy unable to get a single gf on his looks level in college. I've also seen many cases of hypergamous nerdy guys. Many guys also overrate their own SMV. He has admitted in the past to being out of shape in college with a bad haircut. What are the chances that he was pining for out of shape girls with bad hairstyles?

If you had picked a girl who was similar to you in looks and personality in undergrad you wouldn't feel this way. You were probably entitled though and wanted a hot sorority girl. Many of the guys in my STEM phd program paired off in undergrad with academically focused girls similar to them in looks (actually some of them were higher in looks imo but still the quiet, nerdy type). These couples stayed together and supported each other throughout their twenties. These girls are very high quality p…

Here's a link: https://www.google.com/amp/s/jezebel.com/mens-favorite-ages-are-20-21-22-and-23-a-data-dive-1731660984/amp Women at 20 prefer men 3 years older but at every other age 21-31 women prefer 0-2 years older. Then from 32 onwards they start preferring 0-2 years younger. You're painting men as the victims because they can't get what they want but are they really? It seems delusional to not adjust your expectations as you age.

This isn't really true ime. When I started a Phd program in STEM most of the guys coming in had LTRs. Among the American, European, and Australian students, I think only 4 didn't and all of those had some options they deemed too unattractive. It was similar in the year below me. Also, some super smart guys I knew ended up enemployed or working in dead end jobs. One really smart guy who was 2 years above me and scored the highest of anyone from our school on the Putnam (famous undergrad math comp…

Actually that famous OKCupid study showed that women in their forties start preferring younger men and women in their twenties like guys a year or 2 older than them. It doesn't matter by the way what men want; what matters is what they can get. A mid thirties guy has largely missed the boat on 22-26 yo attractive women with good personalities. Most prime female marriage candidates (MC+ background, attractive, educated) pair off pretty young (by 26 or so) and they tend to pair off with guys close…

I do think youth matters less to women than men, but it still matters. I was once the hot 24/25 year old being hit on by successful 35 year olds and I rejected them for being too old. I was pining after my 26 year old grad student ex. A 35 year old man will have to make many more compromises than a 27 year old man if he wants to date a 24/25 year old. I think 30 was my limit at 25 but I strongly preferred 28 and under. I even rejected a 33 year old lawyer because he looked a bit old for me and I…

He actually wasn't old (late twenties), just unattractive and a minority so I think he was fetishizing me as a blonde girl.

Be hot? I got $800 to gamble with when I was a hot 24 year old in Vegas. The guy actually offered to give me another $800 when I lost but I declined. Cute girls will get dudes to pay for drinks and meals as well. I went out last weekend and got 3 drinks paid for without even kissing the guys and I'm not that hot anymore.

Your first point is obviously untrue if you look at it from a numbers perspective. More women than men put in effort into their appearance so it's easier for a grumpy guy to get a better groomed gf than the reverse. What do you consider frumpy out of curiosity?

I never claimed that the average guy can easily have lots of casual sex or get a high quality gf. I do think he can get an average looking gf without too much difficulty and occasionally get casual sex.

I've only had 2 bfs. 2nd one was skinny/kind of athletic (was a runner) but had a less attractive face (acne scarring and a big nose). When I dated my second bf I was 5'7" and 115-120 lbs, so not average.

I don't agree that most men find most women attractive. I think college guys are pickier than you think. Do you agree that many men on PPD claim that men can't get any action until women start looking for BB? Look at LewisCross or whatever his name is. He claims the average guy gets almost no action, even from below average women, in his twenties.

I knew most people in my grad department. At least those in my year or a year above and below me. I was the only woman in many of my grad classes so there wasn't some special group that primarily socialized with women. I also knew most of the people who were in my upper level undergrad classes.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/18 04:52 PM

You're moving the goalposts. Of course average guys will struggle to sleep with hot women, but these guys claim that the average guy can't even get action with average women because they're all holding out for Chad.

I think it's become a problem in discussions. Men act as if it's a fact that the average man struggles and that there's a huge problem in the SMP. They no longer try to provide support for these claims.

I was lucky to have never really been bullied. I was the quiet, invisible girl. People didn't really care enough to bully me I guess. I also think the popular kids in my school were pretty nice.

Can't you date an Indian girl? Edit: I've seen lots of Indian guys that look like that with wives.

They're not though. I've seen pictures of self proclaimed incels and they were mostly average looking guys with terrible grooming.

Agree with this. I don't understand why incels don't attempt to date these women. In my experience ugly women tend to have rock bottom standards.

Yeah but 27 year old guys are on average significantly more attractive than their 34 year old counterparts. The difference is comparable to 30 year old women vs 24 year old women. Sure 30 year old women and 34 year old men aren't too old to be attractive.

A girl would have to be pretty dumb to stay with a guy for 8 years without a marriage proposal.

I actually agree with this as a woman in STEM. I would have loved to study anthropology or history, but I went for a more practical major because I felt I had to. I also think the differences in STEM aptitudes between the genders is greatly exaggerated.

I don't think she was a bad person. She was probably mentally ill and unstable. Growing the trauma she did when she was younger will do that to you. She was a nice person, just had difficulty with her emotions.

I guess it's sort of a response to the thread smoogs made which was about one woman's experience choosing to be masculine and career oriented. Not really a cmv but a personal example of a woman doing the opposite and the potential downsides. It is a bit personal and specific but I think value can be gained from the discussion.

My first serious bf was sweet and and I was initially attracted to him but we just had no connection. He never wanted to do anything. I don't get why you need Botox at 28. Isn't good skincare enough? Like I've been wearing sunscreen every day since my early twenties and have avoided the sun since 18 and that has been enough to keep my skin looking young. I do use retinoids/bha now at 27 but I'm not consistent enough about it
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/18 01:10 AM

The average woman gets married at 27 so presumably she met her spouse long before then. I know a lot of couples just now getting engaged (late twenties) who have been together since late teens or early twenties.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/18 12:30 AM
3

I think a lot of guys do chase Stacy when they're young (teens to early twenties) but most figure out their league by mid twenties. There are a lot of guys who are delusional though (I.e old guys).
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/18 12:28 AM

Women waiting until their late twenties to settle down. Most girls I knew were hunting for a serious relationship in college and many settled down (but have yet to marry) in college or shortly after. The ones that remained single in their mid twenties were either unattractive or jaded from a breakup they thought was going to lead to marriage. I did meet a few party girls when I moved to a big city after college but even they were on a lookout for an LTR.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/18 09:51 PM

So you mean attractive women. I agree that men have to put in effort into attracting hot women (unless these guys have model genetics) but most hot women put a lot of effort into being hot. Waxes, skincare, makeup, dieting/fitness etc all adds up.

I would love to live in your world. The average dude is fat and doesn't have a good job. Women put way more effort into their appearance than men. I have a skincare routine, a haircare routine, wear make up regularly, go to the gym 4 times a week and count my calories every day so I can stay under 20 bmi. Most guys have zero fashion sense and are pudgy yet a lot of them still hit on me.

Unless the guy is a body builder, that's fat. Ime most slightly fat guys are delusional about how fat they are. Those guys may be able to hide their fatness in clothes but their faces will look markedly less masculine than they should.

I actually think it's easier for men with decent social skills to get a relationship with someone above them in looks, and I'm not talking high status men either. There are more women in their twenties that want relationships than men and most women prefer to date men within five years of their own age so if you're a guy will to offer a woman commitment you have the upper hand over women in your league.

I have no idea what feminism stands for today and I'm too lazy to find out.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/18 04:06 PM

It's actually the opposite. Being an attractive man is easy. If you're tall with a good face and wide shoulders, you will clean up with the ladies while you're young. However, if you're a woman and you're above average genetically you still have to put effort into your appearance because most women do and you'll lose your genetic advantage if you don't. I think women have more upwards mobility with regards to improving attractiveness. Attractive males have to be tall with a decent face and mascu…

My guess is that they're very successful but physically unattractive or average. It is unlikely a hot successful guy would settle for a girl with only a HS degree when he can choose a hot educated woman to be the mother of his children.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/18 05:24 PM
3

Are the guys physically attractive? I've had wealthy, unattractive guys interested in me and I'm not model tier. When I was at my hottest at 24/25 I had an unattractive 27 year old rich guy heavily pursue me.

Men are actually worse about wanting to sleep around and play the field in their youth. I think a lot of women want to settle down early but their male counterparts don't. Sure, some nerdy guys would gladly commit to women out of their league but that doesn't count. I was in an LTR from 20-22 and then in another one from 23-24/25 My college LTR didn't want me to move for grad school even though his career had way more flexibility for location than mine. So men willingly get into LTRs with women less attractive than themselves? I'm not even asking for someone on my level career wise, but I won't date a completely unambitious guy or a slob.

Tbf I don't even meet single guys my age who aren't like fob Indian or Chinese immigrants who have no grooming or social skills. I've had almost no social life the last 1.5 due to depression and grad school. I'm a 5'7"-5'8" athletic blonde girl who wears make up almost every time I leave the house. I want a guy who takes care of himself and is somewhat ambitious. I don't ask for more than I have to offer.

Idk, I've been too much of a hermit the last 1.5 years so I rarely meet single guys my age who are not Fob STEM guys. I did date a guy from Sep to December last year but we never had sex. I think he probably would have been my bf if I had pushed it (we went out at least once a week for 3 months and never had sex and I was the one who had to end it) but I didn't like him enough. Tbf I don't care about the lack of sex. Obviously I could go out and have sex quite easily. It's more like I hate the lack of intimacy. I'm still afraid to be vulnerable with a guy even though it's been over 2 years since we broke up. I'm a naturally closed off person but when I fall, I fall hard.

I think my gym crush is 5'11"ish so I'm biased and like that height now ☺️. I'm bad at guessing male heights though. I think beyond 5'10", face and body is much more important than height. Nothing invokes lust in me like a good shoulder to hip ratio paired with a lean, chiseled face.

I got on SSRIs and they killed my sex drive. I'm weaning off them right now and it's starting to come back but I've been out of the game for so long that it's intimidating to get back into it all. I also wanted to take time off to focus on grad school. I kind of lost it after my breakup and almost dropped out. I was very lucky my advisor allowed me to come back after 6 months off. Didn't want to risk going through another major depressive episode again due to a guy.

That's actually a really good base to work with and isn't representative of what the average male is dealing with. A tall dude with a good body and good job (need smarts and/or luck) is easily 90th percentile unless he has an ugly face. If you're an average height, average iq guy from a lower middle class family then you don't have nearly as much upward potential.

You can work out a lot and still be fat. Being fat is mostly due to diet, although weight lifting can improve body composition.

Are you tracking your calories and protein? Calculate your TDEE and make sure you eat AT LEAST .7-.8 grams of protein per lb of your weight. Also, weigh your food! Make sure you're also incorporating strength training 3 times a week. A good program for a beginner who wants that slim thick, big booty look is "Strong Curves" by Bret Contreras. Combining weight lifting and calorie and protein tracking will get you to your goals I promise.

Which parts of the north? I've lived in the northeast and men dating down in looks isn't common except among the poor (I see a lot of fat woman, slim man pairs). I never see men in their twenties dating down financially by a significant amount (not like 80k vs 60k) and across in looks. I honestly can't think of a single couple.

I'm glad a red piller admits this.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/18 08:31 PM

Is it really though? I had a friend who briefly did sugar baby stuff before becoming a stripper. In her opinion being a sugar baby was the worst type of sex work. You still have to fuck the guy but you also have to spend time with him and pretend to be into him for way longer than you would as an escort. According to her it was way more emotional labor than stripping or escort work. The pay per hour is much, much worse too typically.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/18 08:16 PM

Is it really offensive if you worked as a bottle service girl? A lot of those girls have sugar daddies so it wasn't an unreasonable guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/18 03:55 AM
1

Yeah but the girls are typically above them in looks. My brother's ex gf was literally a model but while attractive he's no male model himself. I rarely see guys in their twenties dating across in looks and significantly down financially.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/18 03:50 AM
1

Actually I have seen it. My brother works in finance and some of his friends are on the lower end of upper class and in those cases the guy earns way more money. Their gfs are always hot and very well put together. My social circle is more MC/UMC professionals in their twenties and I don't see many unmarried women dating up financially.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/18 03:55 AM

You're kind of moving goalposts. You stated that liberal women(you didn't specify radical feminists) tend to hit the wall first. I disagreed with that statement and supported my stance with statistics. Sure you may run into conservative, former sorority girls when you date but attractive, feminine liberal women are also common.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/18 03:49 AM

Not OP but I had a hot mid twenties friend who had a late thirties fwb she did BDSM with. She was super slutty though and had a triple digit lay count so I guess she's an exception. Btw I don't mean slutty in a condescending way. She was lots of fun to hang out with. Edit: my point is she didn't fuck the late thirties guy because he was so awesome and gamed her into doing it. I think she had some sort of sex addiction issue.

Damn, didn't know that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/18 01:32 AM

I can think of a particular type of conservative woman that might be hot. Probably rich dad, hot mom that lazed around all day and benefitted from traditional gender roles. Parents are fiscally conservative and may or may not be socially conservative. It could be that you're specifically aiming for this type of woman. I just think liberal women tend to be more attractive on average and probably age better as well because they're more likely to be educated on nutrition and skin care.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/18 01:20 AM
1

Which is a large chunk of conservative women. You're trying to compare UMC/ upper class conservative women with tumblr feminists. Not really a representative sample. Statistics don't agree with you. I told you to look up red state vs blue state obesity statistics. I live in Southern California and there are so many fit women here and yes they're mostly liberal. Edit: I've spent time in Tennessee, Alabama, red parts of Ohio and New York, Connecticut and California. People were way fitter in the blue parts.

A 25 year old can date down to 20 year old without appearing creepy. Not to mention the 20 year old has first pick of 20-24 year old women over the 30 year old. As a woman who used to be 23 I can assure you that most women in my age group preferred guys around our age and up to 5 years older. A 27 year old was fine at 23 but 30 was getting up there.

I almost never see women dating up in looks unless it's an older couple in which case it's plausible that they were looksmatched when younger. I also don't see women dating up financially unless they're dating down in looks by quite a bit or they're older and have children together.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/18 10:45 PM

This. So much delusion in this thread. I used Tinder last year at 26 and set my age range initially from 23-32. I had to lower it because almost no dude over 30 was attractive. The 23-28 year olds were blowing them out of the water. Tbf I live in SoCal and maybe a lot of guys are prematurely aged by the sun. Fortunately many are in good shape but so are the 26 year old dudes.

2/3 of guys are balding by 35.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/18 06:22 PM

Really? I find the opposite to be true. Just look at red state vs blue state obesity statistics. Most of my friends are white UMC professional women and none of us are fat in our late twenties. Obviously skincare is pretty popular as well. I've been wearing sunscreen daily since my late teens.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/18 06:20 PM

An older guy to a 20 year old girl is like 27. How many of them are into 45 year olds?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/18 02:42 AM

Because we're shy and insecure. I'm 27 and still have this problem. Whenever I find a guy hot I purposely avoid eye contact with him and act cold. I suck lol.

I don't disagree with that part of your statement; I was just calling you out on your bragging. 5'10" is not tall, especially not in the UMC.

I've noticed this as well. Women rarely date up in social skills. I've never seen a socially savvy guy with a nerdy, awkward girl unless there's a huge disparity in attractiveness but I've seen the reverse many times.

A woman who is a 6.5 genetically but has poor makeup and styling is comparable in attractiveness to a woman who is a 5 genetically with good make up and styling. Add to the fact that such a girl is awkward and probably not very social she will probably be severely penalized in the RMV.

I think it comes down to the fact that women get hit on way more often than men. You probably don't have to reject women nearly as often as we have to reject men. I also feel like women don't shoot way above their league as often as men do. Like I've had dozens of much older guys express interest in me since my teens. Also a lot of guys don't take rejection very gracefully. I befriended a guy in his fifties last year and we had a really good connection as friends. He made a move on me and I told…

You want a woman that's an equal earner and is attractive to you. That's what women want too so why are you accusing them of hypergamy?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/18 06:04 PM
1

Yeah equal marriages are the best imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/18 05:55 PM
2

Men are the same way though. Usually when men date down financially the woman is above them in looks. This is especially true for male doctors, lawyers etc. That's why you have so many BB/dead bedroom marriages. Men still get a better deal in these cases though bc at least the woman does proportionally more housework and is a good mother.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/18 04:20 PM

How is wanting an equal hypergamy?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/18 02:33 PM

38% of wives earn more than their husbands according to this: https://www.npr.org/2015/02/08/384695833/what-happens-when-wives-earn-more-than-husbands If you keep reading he says that men who are financially dependent on their wives are five times more likely to cheat and do proportionally less housework than average. It seems that women are more likely to date down financially than you claim but get a pretty shitty deal out of it.

You're kinda proving op's point. You don't want to date a fit guy so you can feel hot in comparison. Tbf im the same way. Plus I prioritize other physical attributes. Face>height>dick>>>being ripped. If women are getting "useless" degrees then how are they outearning men their age? That's the biggest problem I have with modern men. The problem is that by believing in TRP and AWALT you're externalizing blame. Have you reflected at all on why you chose a woman like your wife? Do you think most women are like your wife? I think often times men don't vet women enough and as a result end up in shitty relationships. I also think certain types of men are drawn to unstable, AWALTish women. The problem is that TRPers constantly tell us that women have overly high standards and that men are attracted to most women and that the average guy would gladly have his looksmatch and that the average woman has so many options for a relationship etc. IMO many of these guys are just bitter they can't get hot girls despite not being hot themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/18 09:19 PM

I just don't see women dating much older men sugar babies aside. Almost all of my friends date mostly within 5 years of our age. We prefer guys close to our age as evidenced by marriage statistics: 80% of women marry guys who are at most 5 years older than them and more than 90% of women marry guys at most 9 years older than them. So you think even average SMV women want ripped guys? Btw you don't have to be ripped to be high SMV as a male. If you're tall with a good face then you'll be in the 90th percentile at least if you're not fat.

You don't see how calling someone ugly is an attack?

Tbf there are cute nerds but nerdy guys tend to neglect their appearance and are socially oblivious enough to believe that looks don't matter to women past middle school.

Yeah he definitely has a chip on his shoulder. Has the whole nerdy dude entitled to hot girls attitude too.

Didn't you hear women talk about which guys they found cute in middle school/hs? I heard girls talk about which guys were hot all the time. Also, the ripped guy vs billy beta is a false dichotomy. We do care about a guy's personality after he passes a certain threshold. If you're a billy beta nerd then you obviously won't pass the looks threshold of the hot girl you're lusting after.

Im from Eastern Europe (moved to the States when I was a baby) so I've personally witnessed how shitty traditional marriage is for women. I actually lol at all the guys who claim fhat the biggest problem women had with traditional marriage is having to fuck their average looking husbands. I couldn't give you a number but domestic violence was NOT uncommon. In my extended family I would say that every male relative (excluding the younger generation like cousins) hit his wife at some point. Men we…

Yeah I know multiple guys who look like him or worse with active sex lives. You don't have to be hot as a man to get casual sex, just social and fun.

It's funny bc most TRPers love to use male celebrities as examples that men age like wine. Most college educated women agree with mainstream feminist concepts even if they don't identify as feminists. In fact I don't even know if I would identify as a feminist.

Really? Emily Ratajkowski, Scarlett Johansson, Mika Kunis are low SMV women? Only ugly women care about reproductive rights?

Sometimes the dealer tries to cut you off and you won't take no for an answer. I recently ghosted a guy for this reason. I even told him explicitly that I wasn't attracted to him at least twice.

Ugh. My mother was on the BPD spectrum and my father was emotionally stunted. I did not have a fun childhood and am viscerally disgusted my men with a history of dating BPD chicks.

Nah she looks 32ish. Eastern European women don't tend to age well. Source: am Eastern European

It depends on the guy and his hair loss genetics as well as how he takes care of himself. Ime men at 35 are almost always less attractive than men at 25 so some time between those two ages.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
