suggest men and women are equally affected by domestic violence. unnecessary services for male victims not a single man has ever approached asking for support. You know, men aren't asking for services that don't exist so therefor they should keep not existing.

I really hope /r/mensrights doesn't turn into /r/TumblrInAction. Low hanging fruit guys, SJW's on tumblr aren't a big deal. Focus on the macro.

Yea after poking around the rest of that site I feel like I need a shower. Islam is responsible for innumerable acts of terror; but there is also something terrifying about a people who are compelled by generations of cultural conditioning to trash the homes given them by generous governments – ripping up carpets, tearing down wallpaper, filling the backyard with garbage even if there are rubbish bins available, and defecating on the floor of the very room in which they sleep even if there’s a b…

My crimJ prof encouraged those doing projects on DV to include men as it is one of the most under reported crimes. Am I the only one who goes to a sane school?? Although he did try and compare the number of animal shelters to DV shelters as if they are in any wy comparable. But then noted how many shelters won't take older male children which causes problems.

If gender studies and feminism is so wrong and anti male, then what's wrong with exposing more men to it? Now they will be exposed to it, maybe find parts of it interesting, then further follow and influence the field. This would essentially give young boys a foundation to join MRA. We can't look at other people and just brain washable idiots who should have information withheld from them we see as wrong. I just graduated with a degree in one social science and minors in 3 others. I'm not really…

What am I missing here? Going back to the old DNA exonerated him. Being able to go back and test DNA would catch rapists and free the previously wrongly accused.

You're arguing for anecdotal vs scientific/testable. When it comes to social sciences, these are very blendable. If an African American were to be punched and called the N word, we wouldn't expect them to have a small sub for personal experiences. MRA is a growing movement so the less fragmenting there is the better IMHO.

Racism has predominantly been use against African Americans in the US but that doesn't affect the actual definition of the word.

What drives me nuts is the constant misuse of statistics. I'm taking a Crime Prevention Strategies class and we're doing the IPV section right now. I'll first off say my prof wholly admits that men are abused, there is little empirical data on it, and historically this was a 'women are the only victims' issue. He also said that women don't use physical violence as much and it's more mental abuse. The thing is there is a "model" for people/men who commit DV. 18-34, unemployed or blue collar, prev…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
