It's all cheaply made chain food, but I can sit down and enjoy myself eating Chilis. Applebees doesnt even serve decent steaks...

I mean everyone is free to make their own choices, obviously, but alcohol causes a lot of trouble. Even non-addicts have mostly had rough nights or had problems caused by alcohol at one point or another.

They arent the same, that was my entire point. They are the same genre/tier, but the rest at least serve tasty food. Applebees food is just not good imo

No I'm 100% with you. Locally owned bars and restaurants are my favorite, I was just speaking in terms of Applebees and that I think it is individually trash, not that I dislike that whole tier of chain restaurants. I'm in Philly so the food options are pretty awesome lol And McDonalds is what it is. Bad for you but tasty. Nothing wrong with culinarily slumming it from time to time as long as it's not a health issue.

The thing I hate is when you tell someone you don't drink they look at you like there's something wrong. Like they can't possibly fathom life without alcohol I mean I see your point but I can't relate. I'm an alcoholic, when I say I dont drink, it's because there is something wrong, with me lol. I agree that alcohol is far too ingrained in our society though. It's almost synonymous with fun in a lot of people's mind.

Yeah I'm a guy but I'm with you 100%. Chili's, TGI Fridays, Ruby Tiesdays, I am fine with all of those mid/low tier bar grille type places. But Applebees blows.
