Honestly, who knows the situation, she may have been dehydrated or whatever. When I started bodybuilding I was weak as shit, curling 25lbs and squatting less than my own bodyweight. Everyone starts somewhere, training makes you stronger and she just needs more training. I can't fault anyone for attempting military service.

And to answer your question, I think there is a potent conditioning for people to get married in our society. Most people don't think they've accomplished anything unless they do get married for no reason other than the fact that everyone else does it.
