That's actually very insightful. I believe their frustation arises very much from the restrictions that reality imposes over their own machiavellism. Which, as you say, is in part ,I think, the reason for their own disconnect from both their own and their life's reality. Since they don't have the power to change what they want, they escape into a different "reality".

Could totally be, but I don't personally think that is that simple. I mean, most guys get rejected 20 times in a row and do not develop a false identification about their own selves, they just keep on going being themselves and facing reality instead of trying to escape it.
