I'm only 6'4. While I rarely ever slouch or try to make myself smaller, I do try and be considerate of others. Example: I never choose a seat where I might block someone's view at an event unless I have no other reasonable choice. As a parent, I wouldn't abandon my kid who just got stabbed to chase a person who was walking away. I'd help my child first. That's a good point, but the article doesn't say if they were special education students or other students. Most special education teachers teach non-special ed students also. My daughter has an IEP, but is cognitively not really different than other students. She just needs a little more time to finish tests, especially in math. None of that excuses the teacher. The parents of these kids should be rightly pissed and she should lose her job and suffer the full repercussions of the law.

Don't give up. Be available to your kids all the time, never cancel a visitation, and offer to babysit as often as possible. Absolutely. It's an issue that needs to be addressed. Some "good faith" test would have to be applied. That way, the accuser would have to be proven to be acting in bad faith, knowing that they were not raped by the person that they accused. If we also shield the names of people accused of rape until they are proven guilty, it helps here as the repercussions of merely being accused aren't nearly as severe.

I agree with you for the most part, but I disagree with your last statement. I think marriage serves a useful purpose - raising children. Children are still much happier, better adjusted, and more successful when they have two parents that care for them. Family is still very important as a building block of society. I disagree. Paternity testing should be mandatory for all family court proceedings where the paternity is called into question. Requiring it at birth is a violation of the freedom of parents and forces additional costs while setting up the type of DNA database that I do not want to be a part of. If a man molests a young girl or boy, the chances are that there was some sexual pleasure, but that child will still be forever changed and may be psychologically scarred by the experience. It already is in many states. In WA, for example, they add the mother and Father's income together and use an unbiased chart to determine child support. If the custodial parent is not working or going to college, they consider it a refusal to work and calculate their income based upon what they should be earning.
