Many companies have hired third party to convert their COBOL to a more modern language. I was recruited by one of these companies, but declined their offer. 1	Advice to young men graduating in Computer Science! Can confirm all of this. I work for a non-sexy company as a software engineer. I make more money than the junior engineers working at sexy companies. We have around 200 engineers from various fields. About 4-5 female engineers and 1 female PM. The female PM is a pain in the butt sometimes because she gets emotionally involved in the projects, but it's a good company.
