A lot of women (read most) already get a lot of harrassment at the gym from men (read xxfitness on any given day and you will see a thread about men harrassing women who just want to work out). Unless the gym is already very female friendly, your advances will come off as unwelcome. Women usually don't want to be seen when they are at the gym as they are sweaty and wearing their slack clothes and sex is the last thing on their mind.
