Agreed- saying whatever you want isn't a caring high value person, it's a sign of social incompetence..which makes you look weaker, not stronger. Also agreed definitely not gender specific.

Thank you for touching on something I've felt for so long! Its hard for me to allow my kids to watch princess movies because of this. Sleeping Beauty makes me sad to watch, especially the song "I Know You" - she is dancing in the forest chilling out with her animal friends, and the Prince comes up and assumes she wants him all over her, uninvited. She recoils from him initially but he forces her submission. Never noticed as a kid but was gross to watch as an adult. Hate to think what kids see or…

I'm a girl and I dont agree. I'm so incredibly awkward around the men I choose and 10/10 would let hit. So it comes across as I'm not interested, but I desperately am. Maybe just my problem. I wish I could overcome the awkwardness and make it clear.
