You're Australian huh? Me too, I'm from Brisbane. I've had a thought buzzing around my head that us Aussies aren't as pacified as the poor blokes over in the States. Your story confirms that this isn't the case. I suppose I had this idea because I was brought up around the environment you've described (Tradesmen, Truck Drivers, Footy Players etc) and I was having a difficult time seeing the other side. I have seen guys around like your former self but always decided to keep my distance from them…

There's a right and wrong way to 'Check with the wife' etc If you're asking for her permission to do something, that's bad. However, if you're asking her to see if she'd like to come along, go for it. In a RP relationship, she's coming along for the ride remember

If you don't know the rules of the game, you're nothing but an expendable pawn to be used by others. When I first started to internalise the principals of TRP I found these people to be annoying and useless. Now, since almost a year these people are very easily manipulated and often provide hilariously sad results

Was this a once off instance where she wouldn't put out, or has it been an ongoing problem until you found RP?
