Basically any justice movement that proposes a group isn't treated fairly is received by massive backlash and misinformation campaigns at first. In my own anecdotal experience, I haven't run into many feminists who don't spout outdated statistics, or push sexism against men, or even acknowledge that women have privilege in society that men don't have. Why would my feminist ass want to listen to anything you have to say now? It goes both ways. Men's Rights movements are constantly insulted and demeaned by feminist groups, and in retaliation feminist groups are constantly insulted and demeaned by men's rights groups. And it doesn't matter if the people with bachelors in women's studies have feminism right when 99% of the people involved in the movement drown them out with inaccurate bullshit. Everyone who I knows who claims to be feminist just says woman should be paid more and talks about how evil white males are.
