I also deal with lower class women who know the sacrifices and bullshit their fathers and now brothers are going through to provide for their families. It is hard to see your father as a patriarch when he gets home takes a fistful of painkillers and passes out on the couch because he is so hurting and exhausted from making sure you have a roof over your head. Oh yeah, to be clear I don't mean all boomer men of course. It just seems like many of the positions of power (particularly where they hav…

2) Younger men have absolutely not "done nothing". You phrase this like young men are generally innocent, but that just isn't the case. Young men (and women, NB, everyone) still have plenty of room for improvement in how they treat others and themselves. [citation needed] 3) No feminists are perfect, and many are far from it. With that said, most of the time the extent to which men suffer from feminist "ire" is also vastly overblown. [citation needed] Just to take one measure, rape (and all viol…

I think the problem is more that the often younger generation haven't even done anything but are being asked to pay for the sins of their fathers (so to speak). I've asked a few self proclaimed feminists about this, all of them agreed that generally younger men are less sexually suggestive, less aggressive, more willing to listen to them as an equal rather than patronize them but they also still aim most of their feminist ire at those men who have done nothing to them (and not the boomer uncle t…

It was actually in this podcast. But even more mainstream liberal sources like the Brookings Institution admit this. Take a look at Fact 5 on this page.

I've had similar thoughts myself but haven't taken the time to sit down and type them out or make a post. It seems on the farther left (left of liberalism) there's very little willingness to criticize Marxist or proletarian feminism. I'm guessing partly because people just haven't thought about it and they appreciate criticism of liberal feminism (and to a lesser extent radical feminism) from the proletarian feminists. Another reason people who may have some desire to question proletarian femini…

I think historians will be looking at Feminism as a primary cause of I think historians will be looking at Trumpism, the same way scapegoating Germany for WW1 was a primary cause for the rise of facism there. You tell someone they're shit for long enough, they'll side with whoever claims to care. I'm kind of replying late, sorry. Just got around to reading the replies. You know, I've long had somewhat similar thoughts except I believe feminism itself will be the fascist movement, I think male ce…

As someone who at different times in my life has tried to engage with feminism in good faith, I have a lot of the same feelings she had. It has been a great disappointment to experience some of the things I have personally in my interactions with feminists. On a larger scale, the turn away from equality or egalitarianism as the feminist goal has been very disappointing. The word "equality" is still used because it sounds good and has a long history in feminist slogans and stuff, but as we see in…

Accelerationist anti feminism? I've had similar thoughts.

I'm sure that's a significant factor. However, like many other things that used to be assumed to be almost entirely done to women by men research is just starting to call into the question that sex work is primarily something only men demand: "Indeed, while male sex work for male clients i.e., homosexual sex work) has received little attention, it should be noted that male sex work for female clients (i.e., heterosexual sex work) has been even more marginalized in academic and policy terms (Brow…

I will admit that was speculative on my part and I'm not totally committed to it. However, I will say that anecdotally as a gay men who has had a lot of heterosexual female friends (and some lesbians who are willing to be sex workers for other lesbians or heterosexual for money) it seems to be a pretty common psychological comfort that they can marry rich or become a sex worker. Does this mean they all do it? Of course not. Does this mean if they did it, it would work out exactly how they think?…

I'm sure she's a Big Strong Woman Who Don't Need No Man. She can fend for herself.

More men need to start publicly shaming women for behavior like this. Good call.

I agree. Also, why doesn't she just ask the guy she flirted with to give her a ride?

Nah, women are also the problem.

I have to say she does not look attractive enough to warrant this much attention but I'm gay so what do I know.

Did she actually leave with a man? OP says she left with a "Chad," was he one of the guy contacted through Tinder or just some guy she knew or was already dating anyway? Seems others on social media are saying she never left with a man? I don't live anywhere near NYC and just heard about this online so it's purely amusing to me. However, I find all the shaming of the men who went and not her pretty stupid.

Some women are also thirsty and easily duped. Consider the serial dine and dash dater who managed to dupe a fair amount of women into footing the bill.

No shame in that. I think more men are adopting this attitude. Including "chads" like Henry Cavill.

I dunno, this guy managed to get some free meals out of women. I think a reasonably attractive man in an urban area could get a decent crowd of women if he invested enough time and effort.

Meh, it is a bit sad on their part but I think reasonable for at least a good portion of these men to think this was a legitimate date based on the screenshots of her conversations with them. Seems kinda silly to blame them and not the actual person who orchestrated this.

Men need to wake up and stop showering women on dating sites with attention, free meals, etc.. I think stuff like this is an important step in that process. However, women will be crying the blues when the remaining "thirsty dudes" are less and less polite and sensitive to social norms.

I dunno, the dine and dash date guy seems to have received a lot of bad press. This seems pretty similar.

Meh, I have female friends who are actively trying to date and seem to have realistic standards and/or willingness to date men who are below their league who still haven't managed to get laid or married. I guess it depends on where in the world you live and your social skills and stuff too.

Nothing about this woman suggests any old average guy should not have a shot, she's a 6/10 at best.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
