People only get away with what you allow them to get away with.

My teenaged son asked me about this years ago. He said, “When I’m walking down the sidewalk, on the right side and I’m coming up on a group of girls coming toward me, taking up the entire sidewalk, what should I do? I told him not to keep moving because if you run into someone, then you’re the asshole. I told him to just come to a complete stop, taking up only his side of the sidewalk. If someone runs into him, then they’re the asshole. It works every time.

Anybody who doesn’t want to here the truth is not worth speaking to.

When I was 22, a woman who I had been seeing told me that she was pregnant and that it was mine. I know for a fact I wasn’t the only guy she was seeing, so I was skeptical. As time went by, she had people calling me telling me that she was broke and needed money “for my baby” etc. I took the stance that if the kid was mine I would do what I had to do, but until it was proven that it was mine, she would get nothing from me. She had people calling and threatening me. I took it all in stride. What …

I taught my boys to give anybody that hits them, male or female, one chance to walk away. If the attack persists, do what needs to be done to defend yourself.

I would be insulted and embarrassed if a program had to lower the bar so that I could get in. I wouldn’t do it. I would want to earn it on my own merit or do something else.

I’ve never understood men that allowed themselves to be controlled like that. My wife and I live our lives together and separately. I play Xbox, play poker, shoot guns, play golf, drink with my friends, etc. She has her interests and hobbies separate from me. Of course, we do things together as well. I can’t imagine my wife telling me that I wasn’t allowed to do something, and I can’t imagine telling her the same. I think less of people who let their lives be managed by their spouse, regardless …

Beating children is obviously wrong. The occasional swat on the ass is sometimes warranted. They were spanked when my wife and I thought it was necessary. Both of my kids are respectful and well behaved. They think for themselves and get good grades. We have a great relationship. I guess we found a good balance.

When I was 16, I would have enjoyed a sexual relationship with a couple of the teachers at my school. Now, as the father of a 16 year old boy, I would want her to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Perspective is everything.

Nobody forces anyone to work for Uber. The percentage split is made clear at the beginning. If you don’t think the split is fair, don’t sign on. If you do sign on and come to the realization that you aren’t doing as well as you hoped, stop working for them. How is this difficult to understand?

Understood, but let the video roll for more than five seconds before you stop it. It makes it unwatchable. Also make sure what you are saying actually ADDS to the experience rather than just annoying your audience.

I had to clap out of the video. The idiot host wouldn't stop interrupting to inject his own inane take. Edit: Deleted an extraneous word.

I just watched this video for maybe the tenth time. I didn't catch this the first nine times, but there was absolutely no white knighting. No man step to him to stop him after he hit her, no man took a swing at him. That's rare, and it tells me something about the incident, possibly. All those people probably saw and heard what happened before and during the confrontation. And nobody moved to stop it, or him afterward. Interesting.

Her saying that's she's beautiful is actually the funniest thing she's ever said.

How the fuck do you know? That might have been hot coffee in that cup and it may have burned him when she threw it in his face. His reaction may have been involuntary, hers was not. Did he need to hit her that hard to get the point across? Maybe not. Did she need to throw liquid in his face? Definitely not. Her action started his reaction, so fuck her. She got what she got.

I know many Dem voters that are this very same way. They feel that so are so right in their beliefs and that everyone with a differing belief is so wrong, that they have the right to act like a complete asshole.
