That's what I thought. We had some savings, and at temp motions hearing the judge said "you have money. it's not a problem. spend your savings. no legal fees for you." At that point I was making $40k to her $250k. Then at temporary alimony the judge halved all my expenses and said I had a balanced budget. No temporary alimony. It was the best outcome possible for her because now she can just drag this out and bleed me until I have to settle. I appealed, lawyer says there might be back alimony at…

I got pushed into a 60-40 schedule. I keep doing the math and can't figure out how she should get anything given the disparity in our income, but that's the formula. The whole process feels punitive, like the judge and the court and the laws say "as a man, you choose divorce and you will pay." Even at 50-50 I don't think I'd get much more CS than what I am paying her now.

I don't think SHE does either. She was also involved in a parental alienation case where she ordered reunification therapy and the father killed his kid. So yeah. Different judge for the trial, but I don't expect a different result.
