Can you please let me know if you'll answer the other questions I asked you? The ones that are relevant to this thread? Some men become interested in women's issues when they have daughters, so they have a vested interest. Okay, so you can't use male feminists as a way to prove your point that men lack integrity more than women because you're just assuming things, but you have no proof that they're feminists for the reasons that you think.

The entirety of theredpill isn't about citing negative ideas about male nature, kick6. I think you know that. They dish out on women more than men. I'm looking for a specific answer to one specific question. Can you personally, as a red piller, cite unflattering ideas about male nature? Without redirecting me anywhere else?

I'm trying to show youyou what I think is the essence of your argument. It simply boils down to you being offended that men are saying mean things about women, whether or not they're true That's not the essence of my argument. In fact there is no "argument", there's only a friendly request to cite the unflattering ideas that red pillers have about male nature. I haven't said at any point that red pillers must "stop saying mean things about women". You assumed that because you have preconceived i…

Difference is, men will hear something like that and be motivated to make changes. But you're talking about something irrelevant. I never asked what the "difference" was, I'm asking: Can you cite the unflattering ideas you know that the red pill has about male nature? Here you're citing a generalization about men that is positive ("Women whine and cry, men change for the better"), which is not an answer to my question at all.

There are many. And what are these "many" unflattering generalizations? People say that they're there, but I don't see that many of them. Pedastalizing women is one okay (and it's barely that "unflattering" because it means that they have too much of a good opinion of others, thus depicting them as poor victims. They can easily change that behavior by being aware of it), what are the others?

I'm telling you that TRP is about female nature, not male's. And I'm telling you that it isn't, because TRP comments on male nature all the time, for example when they say that men are more likely to develop oneitis or are more loyal than women. Or are you saying that most red pillers don't actually think that men are more loyal and love women "for who they are" and such? I addressed that at the end of my original post. I'm a red piller, I know what the red pill is.

TRP isn't funded by the federal government, they're not obliged by Title IX to be fair. I never said they were. What's your point here? TRP is wrong because they don't level harsh accusations at men and women? No, that's not my point. I wanted to see if red pillers do believe that men have better character than women/have less unflattering ideas about male nature than female nature. It's one of the main blue pill criticisms of the red pill, so verifying it seems to be a pretty big deal to me. Ca…

I'm an ex-feminist (I believe in equal rights of course, but I believe that there are important innate differences between the sexes that the mainstream tends to overlook) who was unplugged in her late teens and I've grown in an environment that encouraged strong independence and undervalued emotional support too. It has forced me to be as sharp as I could and to improve myself all the time because I was constantly aware of the fact that if I didn't look out for myself, nobody else would. I can …

Even the ugliest woman is saved on a sinking ship, before the most handsome man. I'm a little confused by this. Nowadays, the person who gets saved on a sinking ship is the person who gets in the life boat first, no matter his or her sex. Only children are saved before everyone else. People no longer follow the "Women (and children) first" rule, do they? The draft is also only existent on paper. If it were to be practically enforced again, in this day and age, people would most likely protest ag…

But this isn't the case, But what isn't the case? You'll probably fear death less if you help yourself than if you have someone else do it for you, so logically that's what you go for. I don't see how that invalidates my point. Gay shaming isn't a behavior practiced by the majority of humanity. I think you're going off on a tangent here. I didn't deny this. In fact, I didn't express myself on this at all, because I find it irrelevant to the discussion. Even if only a minority of people do it, ga…

They don't realize that the desire for rape itself is the subject. The fantasy bit is the desire for "safety". They cannot differentiate the two. If you point it out, they just seem unable to state or consider the answer that feels emotionally wrong to give. They cannot disconnect two parts of the same whole. I think you're not giving people enough credit. I don't think that they "don't realize" or they're "unable" to give the answer that feels emotionally wrong to give, I think that they just d…

Can you think of a single stimuli that universally makes people happy that isn't advantageous to human survival? But that doesn't matter. Even if happy stimuli tend to increase chances of survival, the fact remains that when/if human survival and happiness are in conflict, people agree that happiness trumps. That's why the politically correct thing nowadays is to not shame gays. By mating with the same sex, they lower their chances of passing on their own genes, but same-sex relations are not im…

Yes biology is the basis of human morality. No, it's not. Just because moral behaviors can be explained by evolution, it doesn't mean that evolution is the principle that people base their moral judgement on. Survival is the ultimate goal of biology/evolution, but our goal as individuals is to be happy. So we don't consider something wrong or right purely based on whether it maximizes our chances of survival or not, we do so based on whether they make us happy or not (hence the golden rule). it'…

This is just semantics, but if you accept biology as the basis of the morality of human behavior then it is immoral to be an undesirable partner. Biology as the basis for morality? Let's consider gays as immoral because they're not perpetuating the human imperative of species survival then. Let's shame them for not pairing up with the opposite sex. It's curious how people never use biology as a basis for morality, but here, when it comes to slut-shaming, they decide to do that. There's no reason…

Why do men who sleep around "deserve" to be shamed? I did not say that they deserve to be shamed, I said that promiscuous women do not deserve to be shamed more than them. They're succeeding at male mating strategy That doesn't matter. A woman who sleeps around a lot is seen as a less desirable partner, people will see it this way regardless. I'm not denying that. both groups are being shamed for being undesirable mating prospects. This is what I'm objecting against. Shame is what you feel when …

If people in society stopped believing that those things mattered then those arbitrary rules would eventually go away. That's unfortunately blue pill thinking. The red pill posits that these truths are rooted in biology, so they will remain existent no matter what people do or say. Many red pillers don't like these truths, but they decide to embrace them because they know that they can't fight them.

Why would you choose to revel in mediocrity than go out and do the best for yourself? Because gaining the knowledge that will help you fix your shortcomings comes with a price. You can work on your shortcomings, but all the unpleasant truths in the playbook also make your goal (love) less appealing. It's a choice between being successful in getting something that is no longer very valuable to you or lowering your chances of success, but finding it all much more magical and beautiful if you do su…

and absolve then of responsibility for their failures. Their past failures maybe, but not their future ones. RP tells men that they have to be strong and hold frame as much as they can in order to keep their woman attracted to them. It makes men aware of a responsibility that they didn't know they had. If a woman isn't interested, the man is actually blamed for not having good enough game, not lifting enough or not having enough money/status. Maybe you don't find it so bad, but nice guys who fin…

There isn't. There's no proof that feminists don't believe in the ideals that they preach. I'm fine with TRPers who say that they were taught false ideas about women's nature, but there's no basis for the idea that men are being "intentionally" led astray. The blue pill is a more pleasant truth. People will genuinely hold on to it even in the face of contrary evidence, because they want to. That explanation seems more likely to me than an evil plot against men.

Fortunately, there's lots of opposition to the song's message in the comments section. "You know I'm never wrong" is just so ridiculous that I guess this wasn't meant as a serious song. If she really meant that, at least she's letting men know that they should avoid her. It's funny how we live in a culture where it's not clear whether this insanity is serious or not though.

how is it that the girls were interested in them at first place if the guys I mention here were such a self-admitted chump? Just because you don't see your skills, it doesn't mean that others don't see them. It doesn't require a sixth sense, it requires not seeing someone through self-depreciating lenses (we tend to be our worst critics). However, I think I made it clear that it was only my opinion in the part you quoted. True, I'm not denying that. I'm questioning whether that opinion is logical or not. Why? Just because you say so? No, because you said so. I'm applying your own logic. You gave the reasons that justify shaming someone, namely "taking the easy road with poorer results". Women will never understand the fact that men put far, far more effort into getting laid than women have to. I think women understand that. They just don't consider it relevant to whether male sluts should be shamed as much as female sluts. If I had a choice to make, and I took the easy path out (which in my view also had poorer results - ie being a slut) I would be ashamed of myself. How do you know that sluts view sluttery as a road with poorer results? That's some serious prejudice. Slut shaming is really not justified. They are "shamed" for being less worthy commitment partners. Why do they deserve to be shamed for being less worthy commitment partners? They have no obligation to be the best commitment partners. I'm not so sure that it's “VERY fair”. Women don't have to try. They will have support from both society and (beta) males throughout their whole lives. Women can cry and people will come rushing to their aid. You can be lazy, you can be ambitious, but either way, everything will turn out right since there is support for you either way from friends, family and society. This is false. So men don't love unconditionally, but they will (generally) continue to love through far more bullshit than a woman will tolerate. Are you sure you're not confusing loyalty and love? You speak about honor in your first paragraph, even though love has nothing to do with that, does it? Either the feeling of love is there or it isn't, your sense of honor won't influence that, will it? No. A man will still love a woman even if the "feel good"s stop. So you honestly think you're capable of loving a nagging shrew that makes you feel horrible? You'll still think she's hot after she grew old and fat? I've heard about wife goggles, and I don't doubt that some men have them, but I wonder if most men have them. I have a hard time believing that if they had an opportunity to ditch their old, fat, shrew wives for a younger, perkier more pleasant woman, and loyalty wasn't a factor, men …

And how is it any different than me overselling my eagerness for a relationship? It's different because you purposefully make them believe that you have an intention to LTR them while you don't intend to do that at all. These women are only with you because they mistakenly believe things will get serious. Her choice to stay is based on a lie. That whole reply was just you taking my actions in a social dynamic and attempting to put them through the lens of a legal dynamic. It doesn't work, because leading women on into the false premise of a relationship is not against the law. That's a non-sequitur again. It's not against the law because it would be too much work to micromanage people's lives in such detail, not because it's okay. Otherwise RP wouldn't spend so much time trying to prove you shouldn't LTR them. If it were natural, no one would even think about it because it would be as instinctual as getting a boner when you see a porn flick. By telling men not to LTR promiscuous women, isn't TRP just trying to counter the influence of mainstream culture that shames men who avoid LTR'ing these women? So when explaining why it's "okay" for women to put men on a pedestal and not the opposite, you're answer is just that you like being on a pedestal? Why is that answer not enough? Not really. I would argue that many people, specifically those who are self-aware and pragmatic, don't operate on such incentives. I'm confused. I think there was a misunderstanding. I don't think it's that simple. The fact that it's unflattering most definitely makes them reluctant to accept it as the truth, but most BPers on the BP sub and PPD say that they reject AWALT generalizations on the basis that neither their personal experience nor the scientific studies they know support the idea that these generalizations are true. Women, it seems, by nature cannot handle being talked about. They cannot deal with perceived criticism. The reason why you feel like you always have to say "Of course, women can do whatever they want..." is because feminism is about morality (women should get paid equally, women should prioritize career over family, etc.) whereas the red pill isn't about "should" it's about "is" (prioritizing career over family is not conductive to happiness for women, etc.) Red pill knowledge is like a science, it's a set of observations, it does not concern itself with what people should do with that knowledge.

Yes, girls should not drink until they pass out, but boys shouldn't use that as an opportunity to finger them without their consent. The woman is responsible for being drunk, not for being assaulted by fully lucid men while she was unconscious. Her life is not ruined in the slightest. That's not for you to judge. Being fingered without consent might not be that big a deal for some people, but I don't think it's fair to trivialize the pain that some victims feel as a result of such a violation of…

He's a fictional character that real women are attracted to. Why would millions of real women buy the book at an astonishing rate of one book per second if they found the love interest repulsive?

I think a big part of it is due to wishful thinking on women's part. And also because some men say the politically correct thing instead of the truth when it comes to what they like the most about their ideal mate. Some men help keeping the misconception alive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6M5C-oKw9k

Oh I'm aware that there's another side to this... It's just that money and other material possessions are the result of hard work usually. Harder work than looking pretty, most of the time. They are earned, so they are achievements that inspire respect from women in a way that good looks don't from men. That's why it feels less demeaning. If a man just inherited all his fancy possessions without having to achieve anything for it and women are just attracted to his possessions without respecting …

I'm not calling you out specifically, but I think all these posts about how she should just change her appearance are missing the point a little bit. She is angry that women are valued for something so superficial as appearance, when men get to be admired for their strong character and personal achievements. Everything that women are admired for is relatively easy to accomplish, so as a result women aren't granted the level of respect given to men. This. Like you said, they're not completely mis…

my sister feels like he think's she's his only option So she wants the guy to put her under pressure to be the best she can be? She wants to know that he could leave if she didn't do that? Shouldn't she instead be happy that this man loves her the way she is? Why does she assume that this man views her as her only option and is unaware of his SMV? What makes her think such a thing? Maybe he's aware that he could get other girls, but he chose her over all these other women anyway because she's so…

Have you ever told her how you felt about what she does? As her good friend, you normally are in a position where you can be honest with her and she will listen. Maybe it's not obvious to her that she's doing something very wrong. Maybe she thinks that it's not so bad because she's "just flirting" and she thinks it's better to keep her bf in the dark because "he wouldn't understand", "he's the only one I truly love anyway", etc. Everyone talks about downgrading her, but if she's a really good fr…

As a religious person, I would most definitely avoid dating non-religious guys. And if I did date them, I'd try to convert them. Non-religious guys are perfectly okay friends, but for a LTR, you need to keep in mind that if the relationship is successful, you'll be raising kids together in a couple of years. Religion is likely to create conflicts about the type of upbringing that is the most suitable for the kids. Besides, having an atheist father makes kids more likely to be non-religious and y…

It still pushes the narrative that it's a preference that's there due to socialization though. Too bad that it doesn't explore the idea that this preference could be innate.

I've read on other sites that it wasn't even just a normal facebook page, it was a private page and someone ratted them out by taking screencaps and sending them to an authority. Going so far as to police the jokes that people make in private under the assumption that anyone who can't take the joke won't see it anyway, is a little insane. Fortunately, the men's names won't be disclosed and they'll be able to move on once the hype will have died down.

They do have a point, though, and you seem to share their opinion more than your SO's. If you also believe that not cohabiting before marriage is more likely to make you happy, then I agree with most people when they say that you should follow your parents' advice. Your SO should be able to understand your decision if you have a poised discussion about it. I hope it all works out well for you!

you would be unwise not to at least consider that. It should be considered, sure, but at the end of the day, when a decision needs to be made and nobody's budging, you should go for the personal choice that makes you the happiest. You have a right to put yourself first. Why is you living together that big a deal to them anyway?

Again, you're giving your opinion on things I've not asked your opinion about. I didn't ask about your views of the job market, I asked you what the equivalent of the government was in your analogy about the sexual arena. Is it allowing rape? Do you agree with allowing rape? Or do you agree that there's no moral way to make the sexual arena equal?

unless you can find a legal and moral way for bosses to hire women instead of men and pay them the same for unequal work and commitment, the inequality in the job market arena will remain. My point was, there's no way to make the sexual arena equal between men and women. Your analogy doesn't fit because there is a way to make the job market equal between men and women: governmental action. What's the equivalent of that in your analogy? Allowing rape?

The idea that women and men are equal but different is not something that The RP invented, it's common sense. Maybe you should stop pretending that there's a disagreement here, you and /u/Countdrama are just saying the same things with different words.

So the way you sum up the inequality of the sexual arena is to.......delcare that: There's no inequality there. No, that's not how I sum it up. Forget my answer to your second question (How are women supposed to be equal to men if they don't act more like men?), I misunderstood that question and gave an answer that was off the mark as a result. Here's the right answer: Who says that women are "supposed to be" equal to men in the sexual arena? When picking a sexual partner, women have to worry ab…

But why don't you perpetuate your own equality? How am I "not perpetuating my own equality"? How are women supposed to be equal to men if they don't act more like men? Equality is about about being treated the same way in the same circumstances. The general consensus is that it's more difficult for a guy to get laid than it is for a girl to get laid, so the conditions for men and women are different and it makes sense that men and women do not react the same way. There's no inequality there. Why…

Why do women hide partner counts while men are more apt to brag about their n-count, or even inflate it? You just talked about slut-shaming and then you ask this? Shouldn't you be able to connect the dots? Men get praised instead of shamed for it, so they have a reason to be loud and proud and inflate it. Women don't. There's no reason why women should be loud and proud about it. Why are men more apt to use more honest language while women use soft euphemisms? Being crude makes men come across a…

I replied to your post to address your misconception that people use these euphemisms to "hide the truth", not to get your opinion on stuff that I never asked your opinion about. I don't respond to your comment because I want to talk to you, I do so so that all the other readers who think like you realize that they're wrong.

Soft language for soft people, sweetheart. No. Respectful language for respectful people. You don't need to be the crudest that you can be in order to be "real" or to "not be soft". It just means that you're mannered person. If you ride a bunch of dicks, you're a slut. Okay. That's your opinion. I didn't ask it. guess what dear, LIFE isn't fair. Get over it. Again, I didn't ask for your advice. Please keep it to yourself. Thank you.

That's not using a euphemism to "hide the truth", that's refraining from using unnecessarily crude and repulsive language. All experiences in life are "life experiences".

Ignore - this happened before we met Yes, but the lying is happening now, while you're together. If she lies about that, how can you trust her about other things? Confront her. No doubt this will end it. Why would it end it if you confront her, but let her know that you're able to forgive what she did? At least if you confront her, you'll get to hear her version of events and figure out where to go based on that.

It's an unfair double standard that women as a group are not to be criticized while men as a group can Who says that you can't criticize women as a group? People won't have issues with you doing this as long as your criticism is valid. When you spout misogynistic misconceptions, then yes, people will have an issue with you. Not because it's misogynistic, but because they're misconceptions.

If women really had nothing to offer except their bodies, men would not sacrifice casual hookups in order to be in a LTR with one woman ever. If he's sacrificing for her, it must mean that she provided him with things that other women don't have. And all women have a body, so... No, this is not true.

Oh, so you mean from an amoral standpoint? Then yes, it is a very efficient way to guarantee that your offspring has the best genetic material (from the alfa father) and is also provided for (by the beta "father"). Securing commitment from an alfa male is always the most efficient strategy (an alfa has the best genetics & the best ability to provide), but it's also the most difficult one to achieve. Having a child with an alfa man without securing his commitment is the easiest choice, but it exp…

Would you agree that this is a good plan, if carried out well? No. Unfaithfulness is not okay at all and we don't advocate that it is okay around here either. I have never implemented such an idea and I wouldn't because I don't want to hurt my partner. I would hate being cheated on, so I won't do it to someone else. It's like asking "Have you ever murdered someone? If not, why not?". Of course not, doing it would be immoral. No offense taken. Nothing wrong with being curious and honest. :)
