The only time that 60% statistic came up was in the US Air Force study which seemed to have a very small sample size. I don’t know about this one.

Interesting point. I’ve just heard of events in the past with revenge-seeking idiots hunting down people accused or charged with crimes.

This will probably be unpopular as hell but I feel like some crimes like this should have anonymity even if a person is found guilty. The law can deal with them, if they’re a threat to society then measures can be taken. Plastering their identity all over the place only encourages vigilantism.

All of this should be innocent and anonymous until proven guilty. Too many news outlets publish stories about accusations and frame them in a way that assumes complete guilt, only adding ‘alleged’ as an afterthought to not get in trouble.

I wonder why she thinks she deserves such high requirements. At least she gives people a giant red flag at what an immensely snobbish prick she is.

That’s a valid point but I think people’s idea of a child’s best path with regards to dating is only something the child can decide. I’m fairly against parents interfering because I’ve seen plenty of parents with very snobbish requirements for partners for their children. Stuff like they must earn a certain amount a year etc. that, in my opinion, are very superficial ways of judging characters.

They’ll date who they want. If it’s a mistake then they’ll learn it themselves. It’s not you’re responsibility to decide who isn’t worthy of dating your daughters

Not really, I collect old consoles and always find new games/series I’d never heard of.

It’s somewhat understandable at first yet incredibly worrying when you look deeper into how little evidence is needed to prosecute someone of sexual assault.

Nope, nobody did as far as I know. A lot of us didn’t really take it that seriously. I mean of course we’re not supporting being violent but we didn’t appreciate being treated like we needed constant reminding.

At school we had an assembly a couple of years ago where they led all the girls out of the room, then we had a teacher come and lecture us to not beat or rape women as if we were animals and couldn't help ourselves.

Interesting, can’t say I’m surprised with the results though. The TV show WWYD did a similar thing with a man shouting at his girlfriend in public, everyone stood up for her, reverse the genders and everyone still supported the woman and assumed the boyfriend deserved it. Here’s the episode.

cowardly weasel word for an article author that knows it’s total bullshit and always was He’s got to cover himself a bit otherwise he’d get too many complaints.

What does this have to do with Men’s Rights? We’ve long since established that women are just as capable of committing horrible crimes as men.

What do you expect from a fucking sub called against men’s rights? The whole community is a joke. All they do is cherry pick random people saying random things and have a lynching party over it.

Not at all surprising. This kind of thing happens all the time.

If there was an identical poster with a girl on it there would be an outrage, that's the kind of hypocrisy and sexism implied by the post.
/r/MensRights28/10/17 10:16 PM

I assume it could be seen as marginalising men in a way, something which would be unacceptable if it was done towards a woman. I don't really see much of a problem though, it's only a cartoon.

Exactly. These women are horrible but I hope people don’t try to associate this kind of treatment with gay couples in general.

I think it's something to do with the length of the words, like how cat and mouse sounds better than mouse and cat or now and then/then and now.

I hate anyone who tries to guilt someone else out of suicide, it only makes it worse.
