while the future they want to see may be different there is a lot of truth in that. I look back at relationships I knew after the fact I should have just ended it and found something better. But the comfort of having some of what I wanted, was more appealing at the time than the risk of not having anything. So I get that.

People ignore so many things to stay in what is 'familiar comfortable'. I look at my 10-15 year ago self and think how much of a moron for living in the moment as much as I did. Financially not planning thinking about what I wanted to do later. Not just cutting baggage relationships loose in favor of seeking more supportive alternatives... familiar is a weird thing.

Solid question and interesting to hear the result.

That's doesn't answer what I asked. I asked for the source.

yeah I've been plowing through the thread and seeing it. The more I read of his situation the more I think the dynamic he is living in would be most likely wildly unhealthy for his kids, not to mention himself. I was merely advocating that there are successful and non destructive co-parenting relationships where the marriage has ended in emotional terms, but not legal terms. The parents however have to be vested in keeping up good parenting and focusing on not bringing in other issues throughout…

As a divorced parent, I both agree with what you're saying and disagree. As a lot of it based on the situation. If they aren't arguing and aren't hating each other in front of the kids and have a respectful live in co-parenting situation. This is actually good for the kids. It teaches them that responsible parents work together for the benefit of their children even if they aren't a couple. It allows ease of access all the time to both parents and as long as the relationship between the parents …

trigger law in place to immediately ban IUD in some states anyway Got a sauce on this? I hadn't heard this, but honestly I've only superficially been following the legal leaks and what states have decided. (Just been checked out AF on the news lately)

Is it possible, yes I would imagine so. I'd imagine there is at least some amount of men out there that have similar life experiences as me, that might also benefit from my perspectives/experience as there are those that I could benefit from. But as it's typically uncomfortable to open to other men who aren't long time friends getting to those friendships I think takes more work than it would for a woman to get the same type of friendship/quality of advice. I think a lot of men still see the ver…

But again, you don’t have male friends? but if I didn't check up on them they would never even think about me. it's the same with friends in my circle, if I don't reach out they don't bother calling unless it's to do a specific activity., and these days since I have kids and 90% of my friends don't, my number gets dialed a lot less than it used to. and my friends who have kids, are too busy with their kids most of the time to do anything no matter who is inviting.

There was one time in college where I approached a guy to ask him out, and he was immediately suspicious and reserved, and behaved as if I was playing a prank on him so he told me to go away. As the new kid at a school growing up, I actually got pranked this way for a few months. The already established cliques thought that it was funny to have pretty girls go up and pretend to be interested in new guys and gotcha them later .I was young enough and there wasn't internet for there to be widesprea…

But I'm surprised how many people are in relationships where they don't have common or even complimentary interests. But they also tend to have the most dysfunctional relationships. I see this a lot with men and women I know. Because they find one thing appealing about their partner, and as you said they always end up in dysfunctional relationships. Attractiveness/cash whatever. A lot of men just want to be with a woman who has common interests and they can have fun with. I can agree with that…

Men who have dipped their feet into the dating market and found sexual success, value personality a lot more than other AFC’s. In what terms? Personality doesn't get swipes, physical appearance does. Anyone saying they swiped because of the bio is lying (to the person they tell that to and themselves in some cases). The bio might sweeten the pot, but the looks get the fingers moving. Female game is a very real thing, and a lot of women don’t understand the importance of making the men they are d…

Part of being a HVM is being a good person Being an HVM has 0 to do with being a good person, and has more to do with what you bring to the table in the dating and sexual marketplace in the scheme of dating (societally HVM is a bit different too). and I also I think an HVM can be a good person as well as can definitely be just looking for side piece and still be a good person. As long as they are honest an upfront about their intentions with both said side piece and that their main woman at leas…

I am wifey material and I know it. Not knowing you at all. I'm curious what you think makes you wifey material? and what kind of man you're looking for as 'husband' material. Not asking as an attack or 'gotcha' I'm just curious. I find it interesting to see what women and men perceive as what they are currently bringing to the table and looking to see if their expectations are similar or different than mine.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
