Yup! Imagine marrying and he has a weird fetish or is a bang-bang-splat kinda guy.

Saw an interview with the father of a man who was part of a UK grooming gang, awful stuff he said about those girls.

A long time ago my boomer grandma spoke about not sleeping around because men won't want to date you. However, I've always enjoyed casual sex and jumped into bed with all my boyfriends. It's never been a problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/25 09:48 AM

The first was a bit doofy (he was 17) the second I was very attracted to (at the time) Current one is the most attractive IMO. Current boyfriend is 5'5 - so I wouldn't call him a chad.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 07:23 PM

I dated when I was a single mum and it was the easiest thing in the world. If anything, my standards were much higher compared to pre motherhood ;)

We both talk like this openly with each other
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 01:57 PM

I'm doing my annual peep show watch and I think I would definitely hook up with Jeremy (and regret it).
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 11:02 AM

I would do things with him that are illegal in several countries

I like being able to go about my business without getting hastled. If I'm horny or lonely, I can go to a bar or party and meet a man there.

Infatuation, love and being IN love are three different things. You won't recognise it until it happens. I was infatuated with my first boyfriend. I got butterflies around him, my heart sped up when I knew I was seeing him and I loved spending time with him. I loved being I'm a relationship, having attention and the sex. But in hindsight I didn't love him, we didn't have a special bond or connection. It was just Puppy love. My first LTR was when I first experienced love. I cared about him deeply…

I mean..the physical sensation and the feelings are both intertwined. Sex is both a very physiological and psychological experience.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 09:40 PM

My teacher friend had a parent send her a shitty email about something. At the bottom of the email, it said 'if you need any more assistant writing a passive aggressive response, let me know!'
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 04:18 PM

Is it?

I can't orgasm with someone unless I feel truly desired by them, so they both come as a package (pun unintended). I guess I can orgasm alone, but it's no where near as good. Sex is a three course meal and a wank is satiating my hunger with a pot noodle.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 09:28 PM

Yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/25 05:00 PM

It's hard to view a mans sexiness when there's a massive fish in the photo looking at you.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 12:27 PM

No. The male gaze is what men conceptualise as peak attraction. When they do, they have a tenancy to conceptualise hyper masculine features. Obviously he's incredibly handsome and very few women would kick him out of bed if he farted, but he's not the 'gold standard'.

It's so bizarre to me that people are discussing their sexual pasts with their partner, let alone ask about it. I've never been asked about my sexual past and I've never asked a partner.

I wasn't necessarily talking about gay men. He's what straight men consider the gold standard. On the sub, most commenter seem to be gay men so that does surprise me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 05:42 AM

He's considered the gold standard for men, he appeals to the male gaze. Younger Henry cavil (before he was super famous) was close to gold standard IMO.

Effeminate gay men still have masculine qualities though, and their gender identity is male. 'Masculinity' does encompass physical characteristics, afaik.

9I have this insufferable 35yo colleague. She's hard working and good at her job, but constantly bitches about everyone. The thing is, we generally get on really well at work and support each other. It's a shame that she has to constantly criticise everyone else's actions and bring such negativity. It also makes me feel like shit because I know she's criticising every single thing I do. 1. Be attractive to me (obviously) 2. Indicate interest in me, escalate flirtation 3. Don't say or do anything stupid. For repeat encounters the sex has to be good.

Men who prefer wanking to sex are insignificantly rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 08:07 AM

> But there isn’t anything a woman could actually do to be good at sex. riding you, blowing you, teasing you, kissing you..arent those active things that women do that make them 'good' ?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 11:41 PM
3

I think the confusion here is that we have shifted how we view sexuality. It used to refer to the other persons sex, but now it refers to someone's gender identity. We also don't have terms to describe the sex you are attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 11:25 PM

Gay men are attracted to masculinity, which trans women are not. Heres a video from a person in the community. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbBzhqJK3bg
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 10:53 PM

Depends on a lot of factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 10:42 PM
4

Contrapoints (a trans woman) did a video on this called 'are traps gay'. Her conclusion was that sexual orientation isn't binary and that a male wanting sex with a trans woman is neither gay or straight. You would better asking the LGBT community about this.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 10:32 PM

You're the first bloke on here to say that women are 'easy to please' in the bedroom, lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 09:28 PM

That's always how its been. That's why it's called 'pulling'.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 08:49 PM

That's an extremely common way of meeting the opposite sex. I don't know why people would argue that it doesn't work.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 08:29 PM

90%? No way.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 08:24 PM

Sorry, but this is absolute BS. No amount of arousal will make a woman cum if they're not being physically stimulated in the right places. Only men can cum from pure imagination, usually only in wet dreams.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 08:23 PM

Not how it works. If you needed an appendix taken out and the surgeon had studied surgery but never performed it, would you be OK with that? What if I told you I had read up on carpentry, but never laid a floor..would you be OK with that? Something you need to learn out in the field.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 08:15 PM

I think people conceptualise 'approach' differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:49 PM

You cannot compare sex to wanking, are you joking? The physical sensation, excitement and arousal from sex is 100x better. A relationship means I get that on tap.

No worries, I'm not sure I can help but I can try! I worked at a bar when I was a young adult, that gave me a lot of confidence. You realise that people aren't that scary and striking up random conversations is quite easy. As for self image, I just tell myself that most people are so caught up with themselves that they're not really thinking about that cringe stuff you said or did. Unless it's something like shitting your pants in oddbins, most social feux pas you do are entirely forgettable. Fo…

I believe there are three big 'firsts'. First love which is being in love with the idea of a boyfriend/girlfriend. You're in love with the concept of love, not the person. This normally happens as a teenager or young adult. It's like 'oh wow, I love kissing and sex and having someone tell me how awesome I am'. Loving someone for the first time. You enjoy their company and care about them deeply. Being in love for the first time. Like the top but it's a very deep connection with the person. You c…

Casual sex enjoyer here! I was sexually active about two years before I ever had an orgasm. I wanked A LOT and got to know my body. I had a boyfriend who was quite generous and I knew exactly what I wanted. So knowing which buttons I need to be pressed was well researched. I have low inhibitions, I like going 'all out' when I have sex and Im very comfortable being a sexual person. I don't have any shame around my sexuality. I never ever do sexual acts unless it actually turns me on to do them, I…

My situation is unique, because I was a single mother. I was also just looking to hook up at the time. It was covid times, so couldn't meet anyone organically and pubs did that wierd table service thing. I had a very minimal profile, 3 candid photos and one selfie. I listed a couple of hobbies and a quote. I did minimal conversation and met after a little bit of chiat chat. We would go go a a pub, get tipsy and saw what happens. An attractive guy hitting on lots of women is going to get lucky 5% of the time, those are the odds even if his game is absolutely awful.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/25 05:52 PM

I agree with the premise. However, I don't think there are any spaces that actually offer decent 'game' advice. Really, you have to spend most your free time socialising and learning IRL what does and does not work. Develop a sense of humour and build confidence.

I don't have all the answers, no one does. All I know is that countries who have some social welfare without being totalitarian fare better than others.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/25 10:37 AM

Their GDP is lower than those countries, they're just better a shifting money around to ensure citizens are looked after. The oil isn't good, but all countries make money unethically.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/25 10:16 AM

I was thinking something more like the Nordic model. It has a mixture of free market economics but a strong welfare state. It's by no means perfect, but to me it's preferable over the US, UK, China ect.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/25 10:12 AM

I'm a free market socialist, I think people should have safety nets when they really need them. I don't think people should laze around and make others work for them. I'd you can't contribute financially, then at least be in education so you can contribute in the future.

I work in a school in a town where the average parents are much older. There is a lot of autism. Autism is great if you have the resources to properly educate that child, but most don't so the kid and the parents end up struggling.

I'm pointing out that some women have hook ups with men bellow their standard because at the time they are drunk and not thinking rationally. I'm not trying to point out that it happens so regularly that most men experience it. It's not that controversial to point out that alcohol does this to people.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 10:19 PM
1

Drunk people aren't thinking rationally, that's my point. They want sex there and then, so do things they wouldn't normally do to satiate that need. Sometimes you can't find a hot guy, so you end up with a less than hot guy. Or, you think he's kinda hot when you're drunk, then when you sober up you realise he's not.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 10:04 PM

And a lot of men do hang out with drunk and horny women and do get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 09:17 PM

Beer goggles also me you cant see them as well, or you find them 'meh' but push past that because you're desperate. 'He's a bit meh, but I've not had sex in months so fuck it' I'm not talking ugly, but not as handsome as you would rather go for. The ones you hook up with sober, swipe online or keep around as a FWB/bf are the best looking ones.

The people who don't underatand non verbal consent are the minority. Those people need to tell their partner this way, to avoid any problems regarding dating. As for dancing, you should not just go up behind a stranger and grind away. You smile ad dance near them, they either smile and dance back or they don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 02:54 PM

Actually, it does need to discuss because the majority of people don't know about it. People absolutely should know the risks they take when they plan a baby. Especially increased risk of autism in a country where being neoro spicey is a massive hindrance to your life.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 08:55 PM

Sometimes that's why you regret it, but sometimes you had beer goggles. I don't know why people are trying to argue with me over this, alcohol famously pairs with massive regrets and poor decision making.

Men do not want to be the one who women regret because he's sub par in looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 12:14 PM

You have to be in the right place at the right time. Obviously, if you're really ugly you will struggle, but most women who indulge in casual sex have one story where they regret the old beer goggles lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 12:13 PM
-5

No no, your bog standard club will have scores of women hooking up with men they wake up and regret. That's what alcohol does. You're drunk nd horny, some dude gives you attention and you bang. You wake up and go 'oh dear'. Also sometimes you do this with friends and colleagues.

Yes, those ones are desirable..obviously.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 09:01 AM

If you're really bad at reading non vocal cues, then you can use dirty talk to 'check in' with your partner during sex.

Twerps will never be masculine, because they care too much about what others think. Worrying about how you're perceived is a weakness, and weakness is not masculine. I don't know much about Liam (and get him confused with noel) but the DGAF punks, crusties and hippies are the ones that exude masculinity.

As I became a teenager they got really hot on IDs at bars and clubs. So, you walked around town or your local park hoping to see a group of people you knew and hang out. Sometimes you sat and ate food from tescos, occasionally you would ask a hobo to buy you booze. When I hit 18, the recession made pubs a luxury. So, we pretty much just hung out at the beach, each others houses or the park. Pubs, clubs a raves were treats. It wasn't always glamorous, a lot of it was a bit boring. But we all date…

We're seeing the the effects of helicopter parenting and too much screen time. Hopefully, future parents will learn from this and improve how they raise kids. The same way millenials and gen X made improvement on the ways their parents raised them. Limited screen time and lots of socialising from a young age.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 11:29 PM

I don't know what country you live in, but that goes against most work code of conducts. What's the purpose of this post?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 08:18 PM

My exact thoughts. I only like aex with men who are obsessed with the woman getting off, it's like they're more attuned.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 05:21 PM

I think having sex with someone who doesn't want it is sad and pathetic. So, I would not date a man or a woman who did that. Fortunately, it's a pretty easy standard for me to have.

Men and women do get FOMO and they can/ do get bored of their partner. Worrying about something commonplace is not irrational. You cannot irradicate all your insecurities, but you can mitigate them somewhat by avoiding what makes you insecure.

Projection.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 08:19 PM

Well there's the stigma, for one. Also the fact a lot of women use romance and lust interchangeably. They probably have never felt romantic attraction towards a woman, so they think that makes them straight. Sexual attraction is the arousal of sexual interest. If looking at a woman arouses sexual interest, then I think it's safe to say they feel sexual attraction towards that person. It's just something that isn't spoken about very openly.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 07:38 PM

Im aware traffickers use OF, but that doesn't mean the existence of it creates more trafficking. If it didn't exist, they would just find different means, sadly. For women considering doing sex work, they are better off doing it at home via camming compared to escorting, stripping or porn companies. We definitely need more awareness of the downfalls of OF. It's incredibly bad for your mental health, and once you put porn out there, anyone can find it. And it goes without saying that the poverty …

If you're obese you have a lot of competion. So you've basically created this situation where your competing with a tiny fraction of men, with women much more attractive than you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 11:19 AM

A colleague of mine said she only dated men over six foot. She has a prettyish face but almost obese. My friend and I laughed at her and said she was being ridiculous as that's a tiny fraction of men. She said she didn't care and would either be eitg a six footer or be single. These women definitely exist, it's not just some nonsense spouted by dudes that need to touch grass.

Well, all friend groups are very different. I think by looking at culture and history we can get a very good idea of how men view female sexuality. Also, just look at how they talk about it when given an anonymous platform.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 12:59 AM
3

I think you underestimate how pervasive this rhetoric is. I get bombarded with those videos becuse I'm female and it's supposed 'rage bait'. My boyfriend gets them because he's a history nerd who goes to the gym. This was touched on in the series 'adolescent'

In real life, men build institutions around controlling female sexuality. Also, I've heard way more men throw those words around compared to women. Internet rhetoric and IRL rhetoric isn't that different nowadays, most people are chronically online.

Women are not collectively 'encouraging' others to do have casual sex. They are merely talking about their experiences, some good, some bad. No one ever said to me I should go and have casual sex with someone, if I've ever mentioned it, it has always been met with a neutral comment (and maybe something about being safe).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 01:41 PM
3

What do you propose women do? Not talk about their experiences? Pretend they had bad experiences when they don't?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 01:23 PM
2

People have free will. If someone talks about enjoying a thing, it's your responsibility to decide if that thing is or isn't enjoyable for you personally. 'Encouring' is when you are consciously trying to get a person to do something. Women have spoken about enjoying causal sex, and plenty have talked about not enjoying it. They are not trying to persuade others en masse.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 11:39 AM

A person doing a thing and enjoying a thing is not 'encouraging' others to do that thing. We all have free will.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 03:39 PM

Women derive positive feelings about being attractive, it doesn't mean you're actively looking to bang someone. Women will wear revealing clothes when they go out with their partners, I know I do. Men's fashion is cultural. There are many examples of men 'peacocking' in different cultures and throughout history. At festivals, its not uncommon for men to be topless in hot pants and leggings, I welcome that.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/25 12:34 PM

Men's decision to not wear revealing clothes is on them
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/25 12:19 PM
3

When people get older they have less energy for raving, that's common sense surely.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/25 02:51 PM
4

Sure, a partner needs to be responsible in going out. It can't get in the way of life. The point I'm arguing is that clubbing and raving is a single person's activity. Raving is a 40 year old subculture with its own community.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/25 02:25 PM
1

You've proven nothing, lol. All you've pointe don't that a night with very little demand does not exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/25 12:38 PM
2

Which complaints? Lots of comments are valid, lots are not. Gay clubs exist because gay people like to meet other gay people Swinger nights exist, so swingers can meet other swingers. Women don't need to go to a women's club to meet other women, as other women are everywhere.

I love pop music and I love rave music. I go to nightclubs so I can dance to that on a decent soundsystem and connect with other people. If you don't see the appeal, that's fine. But please don't project what you find appealing/ unappealing, when people have valid likes and dislikes.

I mean, women can do those thing, no one is stopping you. I think, in general, men are more hedonistic than women. Clubs are quite hedonistic spaces, so they appeal to men more.

If people were not drawn to the music, promoters and punters would not pay big bucks to see specific artists or DJs. If someone is simply 'on the pull', why would they pay £40 entry to see a venue where skream played, when they can go to a free pop night? Also, more than half of young people are single, so thats going to be reflected in the demographic..

> No, this isn't a valid explanation. If it were a non-issue then the clubs would have plenty of patrons. The walls being painted blue versus purple is also a non-issue. what? > there are over 65 clubs, under 30 clubs, gay clubs, etc -- all sorts of niche clubs (that appeal to way less than half of the population) which are highly successful. Because most women are neutral about men being in clubs, its a non issue. Also, halving the number of customers coming in through the door is bad business and most club owners are not going to do that. People enjoy music and dancing, they always have and they always will. People enjoy dancing to music they like, its not that complicated.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/25 09:23 PM
6

Because most women don't care enough about men being in a club to seek out female only clubs? Its just a non issue for most. Plus, a club that halved its number of potential punters would not make enough money and fail. So no club owner is going to do that.

Very rare few actually go there because thats just their thing that's an integral part of who they are. Most go for the possibility of meeting someone, which is why they're full of young singles. This is incredibly untrue and sounds like projection on your part. People enjoy loud music and dancing with others people. Humanity has enjoyed this for millenia. People go to rock gigs to listen to rock bands, why would they not go to clubs to hear their preffered genre?

People need community and connection and many people find that through the rave subculture. In fact, the emergence of the 80s rave scene stomped out most football violence in the UK. People found a space to connect, so there was no longer such a nees for tribal warfare on the streets. It was quite remarkable. Clubbing isn't about dressing slutty and shagging randos. For a lot of us, it's about connecting with people, having a shared experience and feeling true euphoria for many hours. I actually…

That's the thing, you're not in a place to catch feelings, as you're going through a lot and don't have the capacity to get close to someone. Also, sometimes you want to indulge in single behaviour for a bit. A bit of variety, maybe a threesome or whatever.

I have said in another comment, I think sex work should be 100% legal so sex workers can have full legal and workers rights. However, let's be honest, most people would not want their daughters or sons to do sex work. It's risky and not good for mental health. I don't think fetishes are problem per sa, but it makes a man unattractive to me. If a bf said he was into something I consider gross, I would not fancy him any more. Oh we care, but making it illegal or more difficult causes more problems than it solves. The consensus is to let women do sex work freely and give them as many legal protections as possible. The normalisation of disgusting fetishism is a problem in itself.

Very dodgy industry, there's a very high rate of mental health issues amongst sex workers, which is no coincidence. A lot (not all) the porn lacks female pleasure. A lot of women dislike this becuse and don't understand why men enjoy getting off when the woman clearly isn't. The amount of disgusting fetishes that are so normalised they don't even need to be searched for under a niche category. The examples do not represent tw entirety of porn, but they're very very common place. I would prefer i…

At the top of my head, feminism is hard to define and contested over how it should be applied. Some don't agree with it at all. Women view sex differently. Some think a person in the sky has devine control over ones body and sex life. Some think it's a special bond, others just see it as a fun activity. Some think its something done predominantly for the pleasure of men.

> Don't approach women at X place, she is there to do Y thing This isnt some new age thing. Women have complained since forever about being hasstled when they are not in the place to socialise. I remember it cropping up regularly in conversations in the early 00s. The only thing that has changed is you are hearing about it more as there's a large platform for people to voice their opinions on it. As an analogy - You probably like cheese. You consume cheese and you usually have it in your fridge.…

Its about appropriate escalation. Once you flirt with someone and they flirt back, you give more eye contact, if they react well you lean in and compliment them, if they react well you kiss...and so on. If women are really horny and up for sex its pretty obvious. When it comes down to it, again, you do a little of something, gage the reaction and escalate.

Lesbians, straight women and gay men don't like dating bisexual people. Distrust and heteroromantism seem to be the reasons that are usually cited. Either they're worried they will cheat, or they're worried the person will dump them for a heterosexual relationship. You can go to their spaces on reddit type up 'dating a bisexual' and see for your self.
