99% of men posting here have no interest in strict monogamy….for themselves at least. Serial monogamy is debatable.

What percentage of men are married to their only sex partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 04:22 PM

Men who struggle are not the majority, and even many of those who struggle want free hookers.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 04:05 PM

these types of mental health issues impact male attractiveness far more than female I can’t disagree, but many of these guys want women to see their lack discernment with regard to what makes a viable mate as a virtue, and women’s comparative pickiness to be a moral failing. There is no meeting of the minds between the valuable eggs and the disposable sperm camps

probably mentally disturbed on a partially biological basis There is no winning with this demographic. Clearly a group no one, for good reason, wants to mate with, and yet too disturbed to recognize they are actually disturbed. Anosognosia.

In all sincerity and all kidding aside? I think studies of how both men and women react to sexual images suggests women may be more sexually malleable when it comes to sexual orientation. Men’s brains seem a bit more hardwired, gay men get aroused looking at men, straight men get aroused by images of women. Women get aroused by general sexual situations and sexual context. I don’t think men can turn themselves gay, when you are hardwired by the gender of your preference, it’s hard to turn that s…

For anyone able to meet people irl? Omg, please do. There are some decent people trying to find something real on OLD. I know some. Even irl, people can fool you, but when all you are offered is a photo and a short bio it’s almost impossible.

That’s why a lot of girls think every guy is a fuckboy. That isn’t true at all. On some level it’s also naive to not concede a lot more guys actually would be fuckboys in their youth, if they could.

OLD users opt into the service, they choose who they swipe on, who they message, who they exchange photos with and who they meet. Can’t disagree. We still, for some bizarre reason, use it as the number one way to meet both hookups and LTRS, instead of meeting through work, school and friends.

You can think anything you want about her choices, but she is clearly beautiful and clearly been with a lot of men. Even before the age of 35. Because obviously she's no longer that hit compared to 20 year old models these stars can bang on the regular. She might not be your choice, but Affleck is definitely in the “can bang young hot model” camp, he even still looks pretty good, and somehow he is back. I will admit it’s a bit surprising, but there you go.

Men are thirsty and have always been thirstier. This is what some men will PAY to have sex with. https://i.insider.com/4f43aff26bb3f74514000000?width=1200&format=jpeg&auto=webp This is not new to online dating, the high school quarterback has always had options and slept with some less attractive women before getting married to the cheerleader. Most women try for the best, lots of men try for the most.

I loved and lost once. It was brutal. I spent a long time alone as well to avoid having my heart broken again. That was fine for a while but ended up being just as bad as heartbroken. Looking back, I can’t say I would have rather spent my entire 20’s alone to avoid that heartache. I loved, I lost and I learned from it. Some people are fine being alone. I’m not one, for me it sucks either way. You can either guarantee it will suck, or 50/50 gamble it that it won’t.

I think the word “unvetted” is actually totally accurate. We used to marry someone from high school or college. Often someone from our same home town. People used to have reputations. Word got around who got ran through by the football team and who was known for breaking hearts, cheating and using people. People looking for more serious relationships knew who to avoid, had a better idea who was trustworthy and knew who would give them a bad reputation in return.

Apparently my preferences aren’t important at all. If you asked me for the ideal guy? 6/6/6. Tall, dark and handsome, slim, college educated professional. If you asked me who was the least compatible guy I ever dated? The only 6/6/6 I ever dated, and he had dark hair, was slim and a never married chemical engineer with no kids. He looked great on paper and was a nice guy. I can’t explain it, except to say there was “no spark”. Husband is tall and was poor, ex was short and got rich through self …

Men who will make it to 30 alone either weren't very desirable in their 30s or have no intention of marrying I honestly don’t think this is true. I’ve known lots of pretty high value guys that didn’t get married until mid 30’s and many met their wives around 30. They often marry women 5+ years younger. “ The estimated median age to marry for the first time was 30.4 for men and 28.6 for women in early 2021,” according to the census. That’s just the median, so there are plenty getting married in t…

The age gap in the us is currently 2 years, the smallest ever in history, and the older the couple, the bigger the age gap. If the trend in age gap in marriages is getting smaller, despite age of marriage being later than ever, it’s a very odd assumption that age gaps in dating is increasing, especially among the very young. The more educated the woman, and the wealthier the country, the lower the age gap. “it is only two years which still applies in the scenario I am talking about with establis…

Sorry……reality check…. the age gap in relationships is closing more all the time. The rule 1/2 + 7? A 26 year old guy and 20 year old girl? “ age gaps in relationships have actually shrunk, despite all the press about celebrity couples with large age differences. In fact, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the percentage of new female-male marriages that are breaking the rule has declined from 30% at the beginning of the 20th century to a little more than 10% in 1980 to a mere 3% tod…

Men like to downvote me on this and say I’m totally wrong, but I very much had to move on and process after a 7 year relationship failed. I was celibate for 3 years, and for 2 years after that, couldn’t even entertain a serious relationship. I just couldn’t have gotten into another relationship, I wasn’t ready. Men often say and do the opposite. It’s pretty well known that men appear to suffer more after divorce or widowhood, but they also remarry faster, so my female experience might not be rel…

I disagree. We have online dating as a filter now, which sucks ball all around for most people. We used to meet through friends, school, irl interaction. You had social connection, they in turn had more had more accountability. You knew if they pumped and dumped two chicks last month, your grandma might know their grandma. Now you have online dating, a picture and whatever bullshit they choose to tell you. Bad on both sides.

Hard issue. I can see both sides. If a woman has primary custody, it’s hard to give the kid a lifestyle similar to the father’s, without enriching the mother. Probably joint custody and a trust fund in addition to the 80k makes the most sense. What’s always hilarious to me is the amount of broke ass people who worry about divorce rape and CS. Really wealthy people seemed ngaf. They routinely get remarried and pay over and over and over.

You think….IF THEY DIDN’T GET SEX….THEN THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND MEN, just like if the rich suddenly had no food or shelter they would relate to the poor.….It’s just not the way it works. You assume they don’t understand the value of “food and shelter “ because they have always had food and shelter, but in reality if it was taken away overnight, most would not struggle like men struggle. Lots of women really like and enjoy sex, we just actually don’t think about it as obsessively as men do. you know an affordable roof and food isn't that important Here is where we talk past each other. All people, rich or poor need food and shelter. For lots of women though, sex is just not an immediate need like food or shelter. You might as well substitute peanut butter or nice carpeting. “A whopping 61 percent of singles reported that they hadn't had sex within the past year, compared with 18 percent of married people” Of course some single people are dating or cohabitating and having great sex lives and and of course some married people are in dead bedrooms. But with those odds, I would say the married people on the whole are doing way better than the single. Plus, being married is pretty much proof of being able to date and have sex at least at SOME point in your “boring, norm…

Your error is to assume that because .01% of men ( basically pro athletes, rock stars and celebrities) can easily get sex from 100’s of women, that it’s common for women to be willing to share these types of guys. Sure for every one of these guys, there are 100 women willing to share him. That still only represents 1% of women. Short dive into your post history, I’d drop a dime on a no for “attractive woman”. “A Woman” is a coin toss. Barring some serious mental health changes or getting famous, you’re a relationship long shot.

Assuming we're probably referring to anal sex (hence my logistics comment) A dick can be perfect for vaginal sex. Your anus is not a vagina, it will not work to accommodate a dick. Girth, length, shape, left to right leaning, all great variations and accommodatable for a vagina. Not a bumhole. This absolutely applies to me. Did anal once with the guy I lost my virginity to. Didn’t like it or dislike it really. He was not “well endowed”. My ex was a virgin and wanted to try it, averaged sized. No…

Yep, he was great on paper, sucked in bed. My ex was 5’8” and our sex life was great. Look, lose it to a hooker if you think it will help you get over some mental hump (pun intended), but unless you get some crazy great hooker, it won’t teach you how to be a good lover to a civilian.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 10:45 PM

Read my edit. Not really. I had sex with a 36 year old when I was 30….a 6/6/6, and it wasn’t any better, lol. First time sex is often not great. Why do you think women complain about hookups? Only difference is with that 6/6/6? Never got better. My ex took to it like a duck to water🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/21 10:35 PM

It's most likely a deal breaker if the guy has little to no experience. Won't it be advertised if/when she decides to sleep with him? Not if you don’t go out of your way to tell her before hand. Most people won’t directly ask, so don’t directly disclose. Sex with new people is often awkward anyway and sometimes even non virgins are nervous. I didn’t know, and honestly the first time was …mmm…well not great and about a minute long. But by the third time the next morning it was like he had done it…

My ex of 7 years was a virgin. I think he was 21. You want me to be honest? After a certain age, being a virgin is probably also a red flag for anyone who isn’t a virgin too, which will be most women. So what is this "average" guy supposed to do? Not advertise the fact?

the continued prohibition of sex with dogs can no longer be justified and is harmful to bestiality interests. Many readers of this board will respond by saying they have distaste for people who have to resort to using dogs --as if their distaste should be determinative of policy. An individual could have distaste for dogs, but this distaste is meaningless and should have no baring on the question of expanding sexual liberty.

Til, saying a persons sexual history elicits a visceral disgust = feminist shaming tactic. Next time a dude says “sluts gross” I’ll tell him to stop with the feminist shaming tactic. Is your stance that you would date a transgendered individual? Good for you.

I can know it’s a yes for me, I can HEAR a yes back, I might be hearing what I want to hear, I might be hearing him say what he thinks he wants, we could BOTH change our minds after sex. Women have always wanted relationships, very arguably much less than in the past, but we still want them. Men want them too, despite what they say.🤣. But sometimes it doesn’t work out. Sometimes after already having sex. Life holds no guarantees…

I disagree. A woman can be very explicit, say she does not want casual sex, say she only wants committed relationships, and still get played. There is no true commitment, the closest thing we have is marriage and that’s still no guarantee. And having some serious discussion about committing long before the sex? Watch most normal men run to the nearest exit.

Young women especially don’t want to be thought of as prudes And I think the boundaries for not being “prudish” have been pushed to mean tolerating painful, dangerous and humiliating acts within weeks or even hours of knowing someone. If I thought I would be expected to provide pornstar sex and get choked while simultaneously losing my virginity, I don’t think I would be too keen on losing my virginity.

From what I have observed in young women today, they are fine with saying no to sex with a boy they are not attracted to, slightly better armed to fend off the advances of much older men and authority figures and more aware of the dangers of predators. Where things get stickier is consent to certain acts with the guys they DO like. Porn has normalized more extreme acts, both sexes assume many things to be standard, routine sexual behavior and even more damaging, those acts are shown in porn with…

I extend this philosophy to the whole idea of “settling “ too. In my opinion we settle on a partner or settle for being single. Both are valid options, but make no mistake, both are “settling”. There is no soul mate, no perfect match. How can there be? Even if you delude yourself into thinking you have found perfection, you will change, and he will change. I have a pretty damn good husband, he wasn’t perfect when we married and neither was I. We haven’t become less flawed at time has gone by eit…

How about a dude who tells his date I watch furry porn and have deathgrip issues. How about a guy who sees hookers? We all have issues that we might be ashamed of, might not be especially ashamed of, or might not disclose…not because we are ashamed but because we don’t want to be judged or just figure it’s nobody’s damn business. But the short answer is a man's will to live and procreate will lead him either to jail or to the grave. I have no idea what nonsense you are spewing. That overwhelmingly vast majority of men live fairly uneventful lives, just like the vast majority of women. And where exactly is the malice? Many men here too would agree that having sex with hookers is a step below masturbation. How are sex workers able to have tons of sex and are simultaneously able to sort of detach themselves physically while doing it? Well for starters, it’s a job. Not one I would do, because I couldn’t totally separate, and frankly don’t need to. Would I do it to save my life or prevent myself from starving? Sure, I think. My ex’s mom managed to make it out of a concentration camp at age 16…..never asked, never wanted to know. The real question is how do so many men do it and not out of desperation…

In a lot of ways… Obesity makes people feel less confident in their appearance. Men less likely to approach, women less likely to put themselves out there. Both afraid of being mocked for their sexual interest. Obesity less likely to trigger attraction. Often, not even fat people are interested in other fat people. You can’t negotiate attraction Obesity literally lowers testosterone and increases the potential for erectile dysfunction. No need to explain further

Sure, women think the same. 40 year old retired pornstars want 40 year old investment bankers. Good luck. In reality, and despite what TRP says, most low n count women want low n men. You can want whatever you want…what you can realistically pull is quite another matter.

Lol. .You read that completely wrong. And proved my point. Yes, you see her willingness as a sign she is super into you….the converse is not true. She doesn’t see your willingness to get kinky as a sign of your attraction to her. If you got kinky with a partner in the past, but not her, she won’t assume you are less attracted to her. comfortable in our relationship. Yes this is correct though. Sure, I agree to some extent. A mild rise in autism and other problems. But men’s fertility has a longer period of tapering off. Women’s tapers off then comes to an abrupt halt. Plenty more guys have a chance at a healthy kid at 40 than women. There would be no point dating a 40 year old man if I wanted biological children. As a woman, (and one who rarely shaves her legs I might add) I respectfully disagree about leg hair/body hair. Hairiness is a dimorphic trait. Men are have more body hair than women, so removing it is, especially on legs, pits….and god forbid chests or chins… is just enhancing a dimorphic feminine quality “Hormones called androgens, which are present in both sexes, stimulate body hair (known as vellus hair) to darken and coarsen. You claim women are homebodies to a greater extent than men. Higher anxiety =/= to being more of a homebody. The article you link to also says in addition to gender, the young and POC have more anxiety. Do you honestly think that young people are more likely to be homebodies than older people? Then you use studies of free time to draw conclusions about who is less social. I think your premise only holds when people are a bit older. I’ve got a higher n count than most, so I’m not advocating for low n counts with an agenda, but I think lots of young women have enjoy both sex and relationships, and therefore seek lots of sex within relationships. Older people with a failed relationship or two who have high sex drives are often not as ready for another relationship and still want sex, hence the higher n count.

He wasn’t your insurance agent, Right, he was extremely high status He wasn’t a loser. Right, he was extremely high status He’s a guy whose charisma made him sexy Absolutely. And yes, he was also able to parlay that charisma into success too. Like these guys’ money makes them attractive, not their looks Well, 50 year old Clinton’s looks alone would not attract many 20 year old girls. We agree it was his charisma that made him sexy. I’m just not sure his 50 year old looks and his charisma togethe…

She’s saying sexual chemistry is a must for sex. And you can’t have sexual chemistry without MUTUAL sexual desire. Attractive? At his age, when I was 20? I absolutely would not have wanted to bang him if he was my insurance agent. The idea that stepping into an impoverished country suddenly turns a 4 into an 9 is ridiculous I’m going to “slightly” disagree. In a truly impoverished country, I think the framework is different. If you are a 2? Are you fat, or too old or really ugly…yeah you are still a two. Are you objectively average in looks, but have a huge discrepancy in status? Then I think there can be some alpha male, genuine attraction. An average looking but famous rock star in the US is still going to be found attr…

Honestly, you tell me. We are a highly individualistic country. No one is going to have a kid just to take one for the team, nor on an individual level would I want them to. Traditionally highly collectivist countries are ironically seeing the worst problems. Japan may have one of the most collectivist cultures around. Yeah, you can temporarily try to prevent contraction by encouraging higher participation in the workforce. Also redirect and retrain the disabled, raise the age for SS benefits, etc.. But all these measures WILL be temporary without at least a replacement birthrate or immigration. More people are dying than being born. It’s just math. Even if the birthrate stabilizes and it remains where it is, we still will lose population, which might sound great in the short term, but it’s just mathematically…

Both of my mom and grandma were part of the statistically “unemployed “ and worked from home doing unpaid bookkeeping , clerical work and payroll for the family business. I don’t think this was uncommon either. Some genealogy was done on the family and census records show most of my dads family as “occupation farmer” and the wives as “homemaker”, like women weren’t part of planting, harvesting and caring for livestock on a subsistence farm.

I think it has the potential to warp women’s brains more tbh, and I think I know why. Of course they need to meet a minimum looks threshold. Every woman has a different threshold. No matter how fantastic a woman is, and how beautiful her face is, many guys will not consider her if her body doesn’t meet a certain threshold. If her face is absolutely gorgeous, and her personality is good, but her body is just acceptable, many guys would still be glad to date her. If it’s below acceptable, it’s a no go. And every guy has a different threshold for what’s acceptable

The suffragettes ("first-wave feminists," as commonly referred) were terrorists, undeniably. They have a long stark history of bombing and setting fire to nationalized and private-property under the guise of "activism," for example, I recall they bombed outside the Bank Of England……. Every movement for rights has been led by people willing to do unlawful acts All something men’s rights advocates need to remember when they whine about how their movement can’t ever go anywhere because they might g…

In the OP here, it is stated: "permanently single dudes I know all have issues". But what this assumes is that they had issues from day one. You haven't considered that their issues developed from their experiences. We don't know whether the chicken or the egg came first! This is a GREAT point. Lots of guys who don’t have a lot of early success internalize it and go forward with a defeated ego and a losing attitude, and let’s face, most men don’t have a lot of early success I accept a lot of tha…

This u/SmurfESmurferson is 100% The “threshold”. Height is an easy way to explain the concept. My preference is 6’, but generally taller than me is my threshold. One of the best looking guys I ever dated was my height, 5’6”. His face was an 8 though. My ex bf was 5’8” but he was incredibly smart, kinda cute, and extremely ambitious. He was also, other than his height, specifically “my type”, so I was drawn to him anyway. Would I have dated them if they were only 5’2…no, probably not. Did the fac…

/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 09:04 PM

Of course “women do it too” to men, and men to women. The whole body positive movement AMONG women, is to support and bolster women, by women, for women. There is no such thing as men supporting men. That’s the difference.

Really? https://melmagazine.com/en-us/story/the-outsized-fury-of-the-manlet Edit, apparently the knowledge that men themselves were the ones who coined the term manlet has triggered some people.

Okay then I guess your premise is wrong then. There is no double standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 05:59 PM
2

So are you then claiming women don’t present a United front of body positivity? Some people talk about people behind their backs, you’re missing my point. Women don’t say other women aren’t women if their breasts are too small or their waist is too thick. Women, at least to other women’s faces, present a United front, all women are beautiful. Men shame other men for not conforming to standards and they use physical appearance to shame not just the way they look, but their actual masculinity

/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 05:33 PM

Yeah, And there are specific insults I’ve NEVER heard from women, like noodle arms, soy boy, dyel. Men not only shame other men’s bodies, if other men’s bodies don’t conform to their standard, they shame their masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 05:24 PM
2

Right.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 01:44 PM

Yeah, this too. Women should be sahms and rely on their husbands for support but they shouldn’t judge men on how much money they make.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 01:43 PM

The tradcon guys on this sub are totally schizophrenic on this issue. A sahm is so valuable, her work is priceless, holding the family together, raising the children. But if they separate? Why should she get half! She didn’t do anything. Also tradcon men, women should stay at home, not try to engage in careers, they are so important to family life at home……and then, women’s contributions to society have been zero, all of civilization has been built by men.

Sex and sexuality were certainly not seen as sin during the Middle ages. They read Saint Paul. Sex wasn't seen as immoral. It was actually an integral part of marriage which was a sacrament. It was only moral within strict confines though, specifically procreative sex. http://www.thehistoryblog.com/archives/4696 I think the author of the book Law, Sex and Christian Society in Medieval Europe” states that only 47 days of the year would marital sex actually be church sanctioned.

I dunno, ask the guy who wrote it. It’s not just status. Men will happily bang hot hookers, pay them money and then hide the fact in shame, when they know the hooker is not getting any sexual pleasure at all.

More and more I see this complete catch 22. Men completely neurotic over perceived problems in the smp. They don’t fuck as good, they might get rejected, some bogeyman feminist might destroy their entire life if they approach a woman. Fact is, the reason they don’t do well with women is simply because they are neurotic. Are you going to be a good lay if you are neurotic? Going to have swag to slay with chicks? It is their own neurotic personality holding them back, not changes in society.

Look, it’s great if women want to stay home when the kids are little, but it’s just not a lifelong “job” anymore. My mom worked doing payroll and accounting for the family business, but never worked outside the home. She also had 5 kids spread 14 years apart, that’s 20 years of having a preschooler in the house to take care of. This is really rare these days, most people have two kids, two years apart. Staying out of the workforce is just a luxury these days, not a necessity.

Not really sure why many people act terrified of "catching feels". Are positive emotions towards your sex partner supposed to be "bad"? Oh not at all…of course. The fwb label tends to imply a transitory or casual situation, one that either side can easily and unilaterally terminate the sexual side with “no hard feelings “ and just remain completely platonic friends. There in lies the problem with catching feels.

This. Not even a text. He really didn’t like her or want a relationship with her in the first place. My ex was a 20 year old virgin when we got together and we probably had sex 40 times in the first 30 days. If he liked her, he would have found the time to at least figure out when they could see each other, not ignore her for 5 days

Men aren’t bad. Some do bad things that are typically more common for men to do than women. Women aren’t bad. Some do bad things that are typically more common for women to do. Most people are actually pretty decent but most people have also behaved in ways they aren’t or at least shouldn’t be proud of. Nothing wrong with pointing that out.

Good lord, I know I wasn’t as hot when we started dating as the chicks he was banging in his early 20’s. I teased him about a very attractive girl, 10 years younger than me once…he had forgotten he slept with her, then he laughed and said, oh yeah…I remember now! He can’t get it up 10 times a week and keep it up for hours like my ex….who was 20. Are we each other’s “b…

I could get on board if this “difference” wasn’t his need to control addiction tho… He states he is addicted to new partners and new situations. Complete abstinence has been his only control. Waiting to find out after getting married if he can have a normal sex life is a bad idea for him, a horrible idea for the poor woman he is marrying and frankly not just foolish but also selfish. Different is one thing, this goes beyond different.

The article said A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Not A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by 2000 from rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed. In reality, this was probably optimistic that we could turn it around to something manageable even back then.

Wrong or just hasn’t happened yet? Fwiw, the prediction my professor had in 1990 was probably 2 degrees, over the next 100 years……seems pretty plausible. Earth’s temperature has risen by 0.14° F (0.08° C) per decade since 1880, and the rate of warming over the past 40 years is more than twice that: 0.32° F (0.18° C) per decade since 1981. Looking at change isn’t the whole story, you need to look at rate of change. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:2000%2B_year_global_temperature_including_Medie…

His prediction He said even the most conservative scientists ″already tell us there’s nothing we can do now to stop a ... change″ of about 3 degrees. ″Anything beyond that, and we have to start thinking about the significant rise of the sea levels ... we can expect more ferocious storms, hurricanes, wind shear, dust erosion.″ Seems entirely possible. Unsurprisingly, the sound advice is coming from the people with experience in LTRs. I think it’s easy for all parties to be horny and down when the relationship is fresh, you see each other only once or twice a week and you have been anticipating seeing them all day. When you are together 24/7/365? Then try that for a few decades. Most couples have sex once a week, what are the odds you will both just magically be in the mood at the same time? Yep. I got serviced a little while back and my husband declined reciprocity. After we curled up and he fell asleep on my stomach . After 25 years? I’ll take it. I think people are hung up on the word duty. I call it maintenance sex. It’s not giving in to something unpleasant or painful. It’s just pleasing your partner, and enjoying intimacy when you aren’t really crazy horny
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/21 08:59 PM

I would say more similar to not feeling hungry, but then being exposed to a delicious smelling dish. If you are sick or just ate….nah, you still won’t want the food. But most of the time, once you smell the food, you start to salivate, anticipate how good it will taste. It’s probably actually pretty convenient, in a long term sexual relationship where you are together day and night, the likelihood both will spontaneously feel desire at exactly the same time is small.

This sub doesn't understand giving in a relationship obviously. I think this sub doesn’t understand sex in the context of a long term relationship in general.

The bj as foreplay is almost always out of sexual desire, the bj to completion much more likely to be out of a desire to make him happy, at least around my house.

But he didn’t put any effort into my pleasure, the foreplay, or the lead up to sex, (didn’t care if I was turned on or not). He got really fat and couldn’t get hard anymore so the sex was just him trying to stick it in while soft. I need to lose a few lockdown pounds, so thanks for that appetite suppressant.

That’s a 0%. If it a meh, maybe, and he can get me physically responsive and it’s tender and comfortable? 20%. Lots of slow, lazy, morning sex like this. I honestly don’t even understand this question in the context of modern sexual mores. You meet, you are attracted, you hang out, you have sex. If one or both isn’t into it, you just hooked up. If you both want to continue seeing each other, you just started a relationship. If you are more sexually conservative you probably hang out longer before sex. There is no formal commitment outside of marriage and in reality, either party can turn sex into a hookup unless you wait for marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/21 01:46 AM
8

It was great for certain times in my life tbh. When I broke up with my ex bf, I spent two years completely celibate and had a fair amount of hookups for the next three years. When it stopped being fun, I stopped doing it. I think people should do what they want and need. It’s not all women wanting commitment and men wanting hookups. My husband was ready to settle down every bit as much as I was when we got together.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/21 01:34 AM

out of fear that I would dump them. I mean, I would definetly break up with a woman if I'm not sexually fulfilled. So a woman with a lower libido, who loves you and doesn’t want to lose you should do what exactly?

Once you have kids together, the state will interfere for 18 years, married or not. Divorce without kids? Once it’s done it’s done. Plus it’s virtually impossible to maintain completely separate finances when you have kids, married or not. The worst is fighting in court over braces or piano lessons or anything one side deems necessary and the other doesn’t. You can be married and have separate finances very easily. My h and I did exactly this for the first two years

Yeah…I would recommend anyone entering into to an extremely financially lopsided marriage to get a prenup.. But many couples these days make fairly similar incomes, and two similar incomes can build equity faster than two individuals.

Owning a home is where the majority of net worth resides in the us, regardless of your income bracket, your home equity is statistically where your greatest net worth lies. Can you structure your life so that this isn’t true? Of course. But most people don’t save shit. Most people have their net worth tied up in a home and if both work, they buy a bigger, better home. Singles more likely to by condos that don’t appreciate or rent.

If you are worried about the downsides of a committed relationship, don’t ever have kids. Yeah, just mentioned that to to another poster, could easily account for 2 to 3% of that 10% discrepancy an sexual activity.. good point
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 11:26 PM

Men 33% not looking, women 39% not looking in the 18 to 39 range, certainly not insignificant. I mean that’s pretty high for BOTH sexes in that age range. Also, the default here is always to assume dudes not having sex because they can’t, but at least SOME of the 30% of sexless men might not be all that interested either
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 06:12 PM

Offf….that’s an EXCELLENT one….it needs to be its own thread. Can I get a link? Is it broken down by age? I find this really easy to believe in women age 40 plus….. Also forgot rise in bisexuality among women, I personally think it could contribute as much as 2 to 3% of the 10% difference
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 06:02 PM

1/3 of marriages occur between those within a years difference in age https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_disparity_in_sexual_relationships Couples date almost 5 years before getting married and live together 3.5 years. That means most men are meeting their future wife when she is around 23 and he is 25. https://www.weddingstats.org/average-time-dating-before-marriage/ Age gaps in relationships are much greater in second marriages https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2014/12/04/tying-the-knot-aga…

when the amount of sex goes down for young women, women date older, The age gap for marriage, in the us at least, is the smallest it’s ever been in history, so women dating older probably only affects men mostly in the 18 to 20. There is a decrease in sex for those women in their teen years Also you have social media, where women can compare more, a young guy might have won against better guys because the women had no contact to the "better" man in the past so she took the guy that they see on a…

Men fail early and they fail consistently Many are already addicted to video games and porn even before puberty. Also, the number of teenage girls having sex has dropped over the years and girls are also staying virgins longer, but everyone’s perception is that everyone else is smashing except for them. I think those two facts do work together to lead guys to give up early and retreat.

Because if 1% of people do bad things to one person, your likely hood of being a victim is 1%. If one percent of people do bad things to an average of 20 people, your likely hood of being a victim is one in 5. One out of 100 odds or 1 in 5 odds…which one should people be more afraid of?

Yeah but it's different? I’m lost. Do we agree that “ very few men rape“ and “sexual assault is disturbingly common” are both accurate statements? Then is it fair to say few men are victims of false accusations but many, many more people (both boys and girls) are victims of assault? I mean looking at the probability of any one particular man being an offender =/= to your probability of being a victim. A tiny percentage of women file false rape accusations, a tiny percentage of men rape, but there is one distinct difference. Men who rape often rape dozens or even hundreds of times. Cosby had 60 known accusers, Larry Nasser had between 150 and 300. Some dude in the UK was accused of drugging and raping 195 men. Comparing the known, convicted sex offenders who are registered in my county? A little over 1/2 of 1% of all men aged 0 to 100, so only .005% are convicted sex offenders, but I will guar…

Even people with divorced parents have can have great relationships with their dad. be prepared to lose them at any moment Tbh, this whole fear of commitment might be less about “my freedom” and more about the fear …

We aren’t programmed to choose men based on pictures and we aren’t as visual as men. It’s human nature to just give the best looking guy the chance when you have no other information. But choosing from a photo isn’t the be all and end all of our attraction to men. Also, most of the best looking guys interested in committing…well they are already taken, lots of the ones left on online dating are just looking for hookups.

When you're a hot guy, some women will try to create a spark even when there isn't one and neither party is feeling it. Not just hot guys, I tried to do that with guys who were good guys and logical choices, one in particular who was way into me, decent looking, made tons of money, no kids, etc. You really can’t negotiate attraction. but I have to get back what I give in enthusiasm pretty quick In my experience, this is the way. A forty-five year old guy might be objectively hot to a 25-year old woman Those men who are actually sexually attractive to a 25 year old when they are 45 are extremely rare. 55 and 75 makes way MORE sense than 25 and 45.

You know what I just realized after all this time though….most dudes I went to school with HAD bodies like Jim Morrison. My examples may have been too narrow. To some extent, you can change your demeanor too, so if being unpleasant to be around is a problem and driving off too many potential partners, if you recognize that, you can try to change it. If you can’t change your overall personality personality traits, then you can at least police what comes out of your mouth. A lesson in there for bitchy, nagging women too.

I’ll buy part of that, that there are good matches out there…it’s just that your logic sounds a bit like “I’m 440 lbs and can’t get dates” and your response is “I’m 445 and found a wife despite my weight”. When people aren’t successful, but can change what’s making them unsuccessful, my first go to advice would be try to change ie, lose weight so you can broaden your pool of potential mates as wide as possible. Cmv. Everyone’s standards get more realistic as they get older, at least anyone who wants intimacy and affection. Older women can still get young men who will pump and dump, old men might pay a prostitute, in reality neither is young anymore though, and youth is beauty. I worked with lots of elderly people, and the amount of widows and widowers dating each other in that group was high. Everyone looked like death, everyone could say, “still had sex”. Pretend to be hot? You know you can see people’s pictures, right? It’s probably easier to pretend to be cool. Say in your profile that your band just got off tour, pose with a rented motorcycle, rent a boat and hire a bunch models for a photo shoot.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 07:11 AM

First is meeting a minimum standard of being attractive. No matter how cool you are you still need meet a minimum. After that? You are right. We will be attracted to a really cool guy over a guy who is objectively more handsome(…..and then we turn around and proclaim the cool guy is hot, sometimes to the point of absurdity like Mick Jagger, a very cool but ugly man) One of many reasons online dating has been a disrupter. It’s hardEr to convey that cool through photos.

Yeah, for the most part, women aren’t men. If a guy has sex with a woman who thinks he’s fat….he still had sex. If a woman has sex with a guy who thinks she isn’t attractive? No woman wants to be in that situation. For the most part, guys who are willing to wait are probably more into you. There are always exceptions, like she takes off her shapewear and the titties hit the knees, but most guys know ahead of time if the woman is attractive enough to pursue a relationship with or if he’s just dum…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/21 04:50 PM

I think the prevailing narrative is that men want sex, women want relationships, and if you get to smash, she is already naming your 3 kids. When you say you hit it and quit it, you are reaffirming the myth that men are always the gatekeepers of a relationship. They often are, but not always.

Women are increasingly becoming primary breadwinners. Half of all women make the same or more than their spouse, so men are becoming less of an atm all the time. You don’t like it that women get high n counts, you don’t like it that young women waste their youth not having children, you don’t like it they are single mothers. It will, and not in a good way though. 20 year old women aren’t likely to be sexually attracted to the kind of guy who was unsuccessful in his twenties. If something has changed in the last 10 years, it’s not likely he got more sexually attractive. ($$$$$)

Well you have jumped to some odd conclusions. For all we know, 20-24 year old men might be having MORE sex than 18-24 women. But let’s assume they are having identical rates to 18-24 year old women, ignore how many may have had same sex encounters, and that the age distribution of the poll was perfectly even, 600 women and 600 men. 80% of the women had sex, so 480 of them 67% of the men had sex (2/3 cause I don’t want to shift to calculator🤷‍♀️) or 400 men. Lots more men in those narrow age ranges are probably sexless because 18 to 24 year old women are on average dating 20 to 26 year old men. Typical age gap for marriage is held pretty steady at 2 years even while marriage age has risen, which suggests that even in younger ages, there is often an average age gap in relationships. 18 year old guys in college / out of high school don’t have as much access to 16 year old girls, and even if they are dating 16 year old girls, most 16 year old girls are…

Serious question, I always hear men say how the bar has been raised…in which ways though? There is less alimony than 40 years ago, women have been helping to bring in more money all the time, so a 50/50 split of assets is somewhat more equitable, child custody hasn’t changed that much in 40 years, if anything 50/50 custody is more common today and divorce rates are lower.
