Female sexlessness is not only at an all time high but higher than male sexlessness. This isn't true.

Ok, well I mean if she genuinely only goes after men not interested in a relationship with her I hope she takes some time to explore and work through those issues because that's certainly not very healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 05:47 PM

The issue with asking about celebrities is their status makes them more attractive, so you can't really compare them to average men. We have dating app statistics that very clearly show who women prefer. Plus common sense. Of course women like conventionally attractive men. Sure, there are exceptions to every rule, but for the most part that holds true. Male sexlessness is at an all time high historically, especially in the 18-25 age group but female sexlessness isn't. Ladies are into the hot du…

How do you know the men only want sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 08:30 AM

Only when he doesn't have options. Men that have options leave. So it's not that he wouldn't it's that he can't. Pretty shitty being married to someone that would leave if he could.

There are always going to be issues in a marriage. Combine that with loss of attraction and people divorce. It's not rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:40 AM

Very much so. Lots of women have crushes on them. Ever heard of Cumberbitches? They're rich, charming, celebrities. If they worked at Walmart and had average personalities they wouldn't be found any more attractive than the next guy.

Old men don't leave their wives for younger women? Okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 07:18 AM

I'm not saying you're not better off if you take care of yourself. Of course you are. But 50 year old men with options are very likely to leave their 50 year old wife for a younger one. And vise versa.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 06:53 AM

Everyone ages, if a couple ages and declines together then it shouldn’t be an issue. Except it is. Older men are still attracted to younger women and vise versa. Natural aging isn’t the same as one person in a relationship suddenly gaining a lot of weight and putting considerably less effort into their appearance. Not the same, but it's still gonna have the same effect. It doesn’t matter how nice you are or what you have in common, those things usually don’t do anything for anyone in the bedroom…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 06:37 AM

Both charming, attractive, desirable, wealthy, celebrities. That's definitely a type of guy women like, and we see that talked about on here a lot. Status, charm, confidence, and celebrity are attractive. They are very far from average Joe.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 05:04 AM

Those are all attractive celebrities. That's a type of guy women are attracted to (attractive, charming celebrities). They aren't attracted to guy with fish and baseball hat on tinder or guy with dog and plaid shirt (average dudes). Just how men are attracted to Scar Jo not girl with dog filter and 3 cats on tinder. But people settle and compromise or stay single and crush on celebrities.

The thing is someone can both be controlling and enforcing "their boundaries" at the same time. A lot of controlling people do just that. It doesn't matter what terminology we use. It's the way the "boundaries" are enforced that makes someone controlling or not. Someone can have a reasonable boundary of no cheating and enforce it in a controlling way, like checking their partner's phone, yelling at them if they talk to the opposite sex, telling them they'll break up with them if they talk to the…

And that's fine too. Just go into it knowing the reality. Make sure you have your own money and a plan for if/when it doesn't work out.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 11:05 PM

For sure. In fact, loss of attraction is a guarantee and everyone needs to be very aware of that. You gotta think why will he/she choose me when attraction is lost? Why would they stay with me as opposed to finding someone they are attracted to? And if you're marrying someone "for life" ask yourself, when this person is old and ugly and I've got other options, will I still want to be with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:45 PM

Ladies, this is 100% how many men think. And regardless of how well you care for yourself you will get old and he'll cheat/leave if he has the option to and replace you with someone he's physically attracted to. This is why you gotta pick someone that loves you as a person and won't dump you (or wish they could dump you) the second you hit menopause. Don't listen to the men that are "it's different if she takes care of herself." It isn't. If he's there primarily for your looks when you lose said…

/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 06:57 PM

I don't think there's much difference between a guy fuckboy and a guy who would be a fuckboy if he could. Someone settling for you out of desperation who would leave if someone hotter paid them attention is no one's ideal scenario. Finding guys that don't when they can is just as hard as finding guys that wouldn't if they could.

In life? There are people with debilitating disabilities living in endless pain, people born into hunger and poverty they could never escape, victims horrific abuse, etc. It's definitely hard being neurodivergent and neurodivergent folks have many challenges, but being neurotypical is not the most important factor in life.

Where do you think the term originated? Unfortunately I think it's a "feel better about my obesity" term. Women were not 5.9 back then. A size 4 on a 5.9 woman is a thin woman, on a 5.4 woman it's somewhat curvy. In the 70s you would have to go out of your way to find a size 14 on the rack, and a size 14 would be cut smaller then it is today. I buy vintage clothing. In today's fashions I'm a 6-8 top, 6 bottom. In vintage clothing I'm a 8-10.Your ideal body shape for a woman would be considered to…

This is an article obesity using the term "Rubenesque women" not about the women in his paintings. None of the women in his paintings are apple shaped so the authors of the study got that wrong. They're all pear shaped or hourglass. The women in Ruben's painting look like that size 14 woman to me. Some of them are bigger and some are smaller. Most importantly, Ruben's painting of Venus looks quite healthy, and she's supposed to represent the ideal woman of the time period.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 11:03 PM

Yes. How do you know what size the women are?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 08:01 PM

I think people are so used to seeing very thin and photoshopped images of women these paintings make the women seem a lot bigger than they are to some people. In real life they are what people would call "average" as far as body size goes.

Yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 07:59 PM

I wouldn't call any of the women in those paintings obese. And I'm pretty sure if you saw women of that size and shape in real life, neither would you. I'm 100% sure none of them are clinically obese.

Tell me the name of his painting where you'd call the women fat so I can see which women you think are fat. The word obese isn't even used a single time in that article to describe the women in his artwork so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Which painting?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 06:51 PM

As I said to a commenter below I wouldn't consider women in renaissance art fat, including the work of Rubens. Perhaps if you were better familiar with his work you'd see what I see: very feminine women with hourglass figures that are perhaps slightly overweight. I would never call those women fat. Would you?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 06:33 PM

During the renaissance we see a lot of art of fuller figured, very feminine women pretty much exclusively with hourglass shapes. They were perhaps slightly overweight or the high end of a healthy weight, but I don't know if I personally would call them fat. Would you?

/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 06:17 PM

I see women on reddit make the claim all the time that Chris Hemsworth or Henry Cavil aren't that attractive. I guarantee that if these women met either of these men in real life it would be a different story.

As long as everyone is a consenting adult and everyone is treated with respect I think it's great that men (or women) look for love overseas. I also recommend all future passport bros and sisters watch some 90 day fiance so they know how easily it can not work out...and you're stuck financially supporting your ex for a decade. I also implore people to really take bringing a foreigner over seriously, and prepare to be their only support for the culture shock and loss of independence.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 12:19 AM

Not really. Most girls I knew, myself included, were over partying by senior year of college. We all partied the most before 21. No one was "less attractive" at 22. Partying gets old, and it isn't very satisfying after a while. The first few times you get inundated with attention is cool, but a few years later it's just not exciting any more. It gets boring. And since it's a very "empty" activity it's easy to move on from.

I'm telling you how women respond to my "nice" behavior vs my asshole-ish behavior. I mean I really can't comment on you personally unless I saw it for myself but my guess is it's confidence. The majority of women respond to asshole-ish behavior over the opposite. No they don't. The majority of women respond to confident, masculine, good looking men. A confident, masculine, good looking guy that is nice will get women to respond just as much as the confident, masculine, good looking asshole. Niceness, while a nice quality to have, isn't sexually attractive, so it won't get women to respond or not respond. Other qualities do that. Perhaps the asshole, unlike the nice guy, has some sex…

Can't really argue for that when women see themselves as a resource. Women as a whole don't see themselves as anything. We're individuals. That's what OP is saying as well. Some other woman's choice of weather or not she wants to sell sex isn't having any impact on weather I want to sell sex. Some other man's choice to see sex isn't having any impact on weather I want to sell sex. Females of different species exchange sex for resources. Ok, and I explained why some women's actions don't justify seeing women as a resource.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 09:18 PM
3

Friend, no one is saying that they are. OP and I are saying using/seeing women as a resource is wrong. You're saying women are doing it (it meaning allowing for a system where they are seen as a resource) to themselves because some women use sex as leverage. I'm saying that the free action of some women doesn't justify women being used/seen as a resource against their will.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 09:03 PM
5

That's not what I'm saying. I was saying that just because some men do a thing by choice (like join the military) doesn't mean that it's therefore right or justified to force men to do said thing (to force men to be in the millitary.) Just because some women use sex as leverage doesn't mean that it is therefore justified using woman-kind as a resource.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 08:07 PM
8

A portion of women willfully doing it is not the same, all/most women being forced to do that same thing. Choosing to use sex as leverage is not the same thing as being used as a resource regardless of her will. Women are individual people with free will. This is like saying if men don't want to be drafted then they should stop willingly singing up to be in the military.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 07:45 PM

That's just what the studies are saying. That it's a decrease in marriage.

It seems like the biggest factor is marriage. People just aren't getting married as young any more.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 08:59 PM

I'd say it's more than a bit harder. It's tripled for men over the last 10 years but stayed about the same for women. I'm not about romanticizing the past either, but things really are quite a bit worse for men. https://medium.com/hello-love/the-number-of-sexless-men-has-tripled-in-10-years-why-e97e7165d2a1

Unchecked capitalism allows for monopolies. "Checked" capitalism means the government would step in and prevent monopolies. But, at the end of the day, neither capitalism nor socialism, nor any other system will prevent the rich from exploiting the system in place. The problem is not the system but the people in power.

Well if you use the word loving as a catch all for having 10+ positive qualities....that's starting to sound like a checklist. Or I could use your logic and say a "loving" man will want to work very hard provide for his family, hence sneakily sliding money/status in there. We could lump all the qualities women want under "loving," bringing me back to my original point of how everyone has a checklist whether you lump it under one word or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 07:21 AM

And loving includes not nagging and being a dick No, those are additional qualities. Because someone can 100% be both loving and nagging and a dick.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 07:15 AM

Nope, that's why past the attraction part, men will pick the most loving and loyal option and women will pick the highest status option. That's why the common male fantasies center around the women saving herself for a man (loyalty) and sticks with him through hard times. While the female fantasy centers around the status of the man (6'4 billionaire surgeon vampires). In all those fantasies the vampire surgeons is incredibly loyal, sticks by the protagonist through everything. Loyalty is a massi…

Attractive is a box men want ticked. OP is acting like it isn't? Attractiveness is also a form status. That being said... Women will disregard loving for status but not attractiveness. Attractive men will get women if they're broke, unemployed, a criminal, etc. Status is not as important as attractiveness. Men will disregard loving for attractiveness. Men will let hot women walk all over them, even if she treats him like crap. Being loving is not as important as attractiveness.

Women don't care about how loving a man is? Not as much as what boxes he can tick, even after getting past the attraction part Women care about ticking boxes as much or as little as men. That's my point. Yes I'm glad you brought this up because it is literally a meme that in romance novels geared towards women the guy is always some 6'4 billionaire vampire surgeon... You just proved OPs point lmao No, you made a point I didn't make, which I disagree with. The boxes being ticked don't mean anything if he isn't "loving." For men and women. Men don't care if an unattractive woman is loving to them. Everyone wants to be loved by someone that ticks boxes, and one of those boxes is he/she loves me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 06:20 AM

Women don't care about how loving a man is? If he's attractive they 100% do. Just how men don't care about how loving a woman is if she's unattractive. Who wants to be with someone that isn't into them? Ever read a romance novel or watched a romanic movie geared towards women?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 04:01 AM
16

You're missing my point. Women also want "a man they're attracted to and he is really into her." Her attraction is gonna be based on criteria, just like a man's attraction. This post doesn't prove your premise: women have "boxes" and men just want someone into them, because everyone has boxes, they're just different. You used men's criteria for both men and women, when men and women have very different criteria.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 03:47 AM

Except women are much willing to be single than settle compared to men.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 03:41 AM

Men wanna tick boxes too. Looks box, age box, feminine box, enthusiastic in bed box, weight box, etc. Men don't want a woman they think is ugly "as into him as possible." Men also get turned off by clingy women unless he has literally no options or she's a supermodel so "as into you as possible" also doesn't apply. All you've done is taken men's "boxes" and decided they're not boxes. They're different criteria....but they're still criteria.

I read a good amount of romance. Most male leads are hyper masculine, good looking, dark, stoic, brooding, and rich/powerful in some way. Is this a representation of what women like in men? Yes. Absolutely. Red Pill isn't wrong about that. Women on average (there are exceptions of course) like masculine, hot, powerful, emotionally mature men. Some degrees are indeed bullshit. Moreover, if you take the data on income earned (you know, the reason people go to college) men are performing more. We already addressed this point. It's a choice and has nothing to do with intelligence. If men are making more money and women are more enrolled, the only conclusion is that women are getting bullshit degrees that don't turn into economic success Women going into college know if their degree will bring economic success or not. It's a choice. And l…

"Women are outperforming men in universities. They are not less intelligent, if anything they are more intelligent." Women are outperforming men if you don't just choose to decide that anything but stem is "bullshit" which is "stupid" because no, it isn't. And in those fields men are barely outperforming women, going back to the OPs and commenters point that women aren't less intelligent.

By definition he's not Mr. Perfect. This is no woman's idea of "perfect," save for women that wanna use him for something or a small handful of outliers. If it were an open relationship, then sure. But a one-sided one? Nah. But lots of women would be into this (though they would not see him as perfect), probably as many women as men willing to be with toxic women because they're hot and it's the best they could do.

Sure, but my whole point is that the principle is sexist, so following the "invite pays" rule in dating makes no sense. It's an outdated and sexist social norm and justifying it with "invite pays" makes no sense. It's not about that. It's about the expectation that men invite and pay.

Not only does it have an expiration date...most sugar babies don't actually make much money....even very attractive ones. The market is oversaturated, and the demand from very rich men is too low. Most sugar daddies aren't rich and are actually looking for a cheap prostitute. There is a very small percentage of sugar babies that find millionaires to fund their lavish lifestyle. Very small.

Except in real life they do, and that has a massive effect on marriages. Their husbands certainly do look at them "that way." Men that put a lot of value on their partner being attractive don't suddenly stop when they get married...if all they put value on is looks and submissiveness those men aren't going to be happy with their wives and cheat/leave/be miserable. It's true for how women see their husbands too. For most people, there will come a day when your partner is no longer sexy. Being fri…

Eastern European that lives in the US here. It's totally different largely because Eastern Europe is more traditional (men are more masculine/women are more feminine) and in countries like Russia with way more women than men, women take what they can get. Eastern Europe has it's flaws, but it beats men over the head with masculinity from a young age and women are attracted to that. Eastern European men are much more aggressive, assertive and stoic. Lifetime alimony made sense in a time when women didn't have the same earning opportunities as men, and being a poorly educated sahm with no work experience was common. It makes no sense any more. Temporary alimony for stay at home parents makes total sense—giving them enough time to find a good job or get a 2 year degree. Weirdly progressive decision from Florida, but good for them for once. We aren't really all equal adults past 18, and 18 year olds should not be able to do a lot of what they can do now, like take on 100k of debt, do porn, or join the military, but that's kinda off topic. 18 is a high school senior. 25 yr old+ adults will have little to nothing in common with teenagers. Different maturity levels, different life stages, etc. There are exceptions to every rule....but generally it's the same reason most 18 year olds aren't bffs with 12 year olds.

Not really, I'm going say most nanny's don't do the house work and just look after the kids (or at least the ones I have seen). That's babysitting. As a nanny you have to do housework. You're so close to realizing that the problem is our (and your) idea of what feminine and masculine actually are vs what society wants them to be. It's not that men are being "feminine," it's that we've labelled a common set of behaviors feminine despite the fact that men do them just as much as women. If being emotional, sensitive and occasionally irrational isn't masculine...then being masculine has very little to do with being a human male.

Everyone else that shame and criticism worked on successfully avoided being deadbeats or fucking men that are deadbeats. Shame and criticism isn't why they aren't deadbeats. Most people that aren't deadbeats aren't because they love and care about their children, not because they were shamed into it.

No, any 50 year old man, given a high chance of creating a single mother via his own death. Al Pacino comes to mind. His girlfriend is gonna be a single mom by choice in about 3-5 years. For the other points, see OP's point 5. Parents with mental illness can cause that, parents with a criminal background, parents ever involved with CPS, men with disabilities that shorten their lifespan would also have to be forbidden from having a child...

Disabled people? Parents with diagnosed mental illness? Men over 50?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 10:51 PM

I didn't say either party should garner more or less sympathy. We should have sympathy for everyone whose lives were unfortunate enough to lead them to being single parents or to make it so they lack the capacity to care about their offspring. No one chooses to be a crappy person. It's a product of environment or untreated mental issues. Society fails people, and then we blame them for it once they turn 18 and struggle.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 10:41 PM

Shaming and criticizing groups of people has never worked and will never work. Instead, people should focus on discussing what we can do to prevent these situations, like making sure young men and women have good mental health support and strong communities, voting to improve sex-ed, making sure abortion is accessible, including family-planning in school curriculums in more vulnerable areas, etc. I've also worked in family courts and the root issue is often some combination of poverty and childh…

I don't agree at all. I think the roles we force people in come less from nature/what is natural, and more from trying to fit into what the opposite sex finds desirable—which is a highly exaggerated and restricted version of what is natural. I think biologically women are more "feminine" than men on average, meaning less aggressive, more nurturing, and more interested in people over objects, more emotional due to monthly hormonal swings, but the difference between the two sexes is much smaller t…

Femininity is simply the opposite of masculinity, they complement each other and complete each other. You're assuming being born with a vagina makes you naturally "feminine." Or being born with a penis makes you naturally "masculine." It doesn't. Pressuring men and women to play pretend sucks for everyone. There are less feminine women in the west because there's more freedom to be your authentic self, and a lot of women just aren't that feminine. Some are. Both are ways of being are fine. I'm f…

Your quote is by an 87 year old lady. Times have changed. More women graduate than men now, and we go to class in sweatpants. "Most women" don't see "men as machines that provide." Most women work. On top of that, nothing about being a stay at home parent means you don't appreciate or love your partner. And at the end of the day all humans value each other for what they can provide not for "who they are." We all do it. Weather it's money, security, emotional support, fun, sex, humor, no one valu…

So I should just take your word for it? As much as we should take women's word for it on their lived experiences, yes. This isn't a lived experience. You're saying this is a widespread thing that leads fathers to not pursue custody. One person's experience doesn't represent everyone else's, women or men. Funny, feminism seems to be either about women's issues, for gender equality, or that feminism fights for men's issues too, depending on which one is most convenient for that specific issue. Fem…

The fathers who literally said they were discouraged from it by their lawyers. It's not like records are kept of this. So I should just take your word for it? Completely agree that 50/50 would be great. Feminists wouldn't fight for that because it's not like it has anything to do with gender equality, right? Feminism is about working on women's issues. So yeah, feminism fights for stuff, but they treat equality like it's a one-way street exclusively to the benefit of women. It's feminism. It's a…

And left unstated is that often lawyers are the ones discouraging fathers from asking. Proof? 50/50 default sounds great to me. No, fathers don't ask for custody. Again, I ask you, why is it that women don't have the same visceral reaction for the other power dynamics? You'd have to ask them. The older women that don't care (the majority) aren't talking about it at all, thus making it seem like women care way more than they do. Most people feel like when he dates under 20 it's too young, myself included, but when they're early 20s I don't have an issue with it.

Can you please then explain to me why women never seem to have a problem with any of these other "power dynamics" and "imbalances"? "An older man dating a younger woman is likely to involve issues with power dynamics?" That's literally the definition of prejudicial. It's also utterly trite and irrelevant. It's factual and relevant to this discussion. Facts not feelings, friend. A hot woman dating a mid guy will have "issues with power dynamics" because the hot woman will have 100x more options and simps competing for her attention at every turn while the guy will be holding on for dear life lest he have to endure another 18 …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 07:41 PM

We can do this all day. The bottom line is your statement is prejudicial and judgmental Karenism. Own it. How so? And I think you need to realize differences in power dynamics and something being predatory are not the same thing. That doesn't mean different power dynamics isn't real, or different maturity levels isn't real. These are real issues people in relationships deal with and perhaps you'll understand better when you have more relationship experience yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 07:07 PM

Where though? I'm sure you can find crazy people saying anything on the internet, but the majority of women are absolutely not. 21 year olds are more vulnerable, and it's not gendered. If a 35 year old man dates a 21 year old man there's likely gonna be issues with power dynamics and different maturity levels, but normal people aren't calling that being a predator. If a 35 year old man is pursuing high school seniors and college freshmen men....that's predatory because those dudes, like those la…

Who are you to decide what’s best for someone? Well anyone can have an opinion on what's best. I'm not virtue signaling, I'm sharing my argument and opinion with you. You can say I'm virtue signaling all day, but I'm still waiting for that counter-argument on why it's in the best interest of a high-school senior to be with you, a 42 year old man. But of course you're gonna disagree with me, which is again, why we warn young women. Because you're not gonna stop no matter what anyone says.

Friend, we've been over this. Just because you want to be with an 18 year old doesn't mean it's best for the 18-year-olds. I think we can conclude this with you really don't care what's best for the teenager—which brings me to my original point of why we warn young women about older men. Usually, they're out to use you to satisfy their own needs, and they don't care about whats actually best for you. They wouldn't date you if they did.

I notice you replaced "older man" with "predatory man." Not all older men are predatory, and many younger men are so I figured it made more sense. How can you tell the difference between an older man who is genuinely interested in a younger woman (and the feeling is mutual) versus a groomer/predator? It's gonna depend on a lot of factors and on each individual case. How much older is he, how did they meet, why does he want to be with her, why does she want to be with him, etc.

Finding someone young attractive is totally fine. When people take an issue with age gaps it's usually because there are some older people that pursue younger people not just for looks, but because they are easy to control and manipulate. Look, I don't know a single woman out of college engaging in regular casual sex. I'm sure it happens plenty, but it's really not that common. Casual sex dwindles off once people are past 25.

Apparently I'm meant to approach, but act super tactful in the following conversation, but then when we get to sex I'm meant to rip her clothes off and pound her into eternity whilst mimicking the kind of violent pornified sex that would make a James Deen blush. That's crazy, because nobody goes overseas looking for basic personality traits. Not once do you hear a guy say something like "I'm going to Russia because the women there are more INTJ." OP is making a moral argument and his evidence doesn't work. My issue is with OPs evidence/argument not conclusion.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 04:50 AM

Anyone can leave anyone for any reason. I've said that from the start. My argument is that OPs evidence/argument is bad since the reason behind why someone is sick or jobless is not considered, so all joblessness and all illness related breakups shouldn't just be lumped together and compared.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 04:28 AM

I don't see how this goes against anything I've said.

And some people would stay. It depends on the person.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 03:23 AM

Look at OPs study. It doesn't account for choice. That study is what OP is using for evidence. If more men are choosing not to work than women are sick due to lifestyle choice (or vise versa) this argument falls apart.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 03:10 AM

With that logic the same could be said with illnesses simply look up STI’s. Correct. Which is why it's important not to lump everything together. Leaving your partner b/c they got an STI vs cancer are two very different things.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 02:51 AM

It doesn't specify because the good faith interpretation is that we're comparing like to like. If it's not clearly stated everyone is going to make different interpretations. That's why it's important to state these things.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 02:48 AM

It's not derailing at all when you look at the op. None of the data or OPs arguments specify how many of these men lost their job due to bad luck and how many chose not to pursue full time work. Same with being sick. If someone treats their body horribly and gets sick as a result that's very different than getting sick due to bad luck. But OP has lumped everything together. The misbalanced data could be explained by looking at the influence of choice. Maybe choice doesn't play a big factor. Eith…

There are two issues with this. One is lots of men would treat a woman well. The second issue is people's actions don't always match their words, and people know this. That being said, dating is superficial, and that's ok. You're not hoping to date women hobgoblin women for a reason. I'm sure you'd like to date a nice, pretty young lady.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 01:33 AM

that being jobless isn’t a choice It can be. Some people choose to not work. I'm sure you know that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 01:25 AM

Standards are standards regardless of if it's a choice or not. A lot of people's standards have to do with the choices their partner makes. A lot of people would stay with someone that's jobless/sick by no fault of their own over someone that's jobless/sick due to their own choices. If there's one thing women have made abundantly clear it's that they have standards for a height preference. Unfortunately, most people don't choose to be short. This is just off topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 12:19 AM

You can't have a good faith conversation about this if we don't talk about the reasons for why someone is sick/unemployed. The reasons are a huge factor in why people leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 12:17 AM

Because judging people for the choices they make is different from judging people for things they have no control over.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/23 11:59 PM

There's a reason I wrote "if"
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/23 10:48 PM

If being jobless is a choice these aren't equivalents. Being sick isn't a choice. That being said, don't stay in a relationship you don't wanna be in. If you truly love someone, you'll be there for when they're sick and/or lose their job.

Right, but a women's attractiveness is determined based on the attractiveness of other women not other men (mostly). If a woman is average putting her in a room of male models won't make her below average. Putting her in a room of female supermodels would instantly make her attractiveness shoot to the bottom. It is strange, if I think about it, that humans seem to be very gendered when it comes to determining attractiveness. I wonder what the biology behind that is.

If you instantaneously drop from a 7 to a 5, you're going to have a completely different social experience than what you were used to Only if no one else dropped. If it disappeared for all women, people would get used to it and we'd be back to where we are now. Pretty privilege will apply to people that are prettier than average, same as it does now. Average would decrease, but it would still apply just the same way. A big part of how we determine "pretty" is how a person looks compared to those around them. That's why people say things like "'she's a midwest 7 but an LA 4" TLDR: beauty is more relative than objective.
