For medical reasons, absolutely. E.g. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/circumcision-in-boys/ For any other reason, it's mutilation.

I don't understand how you can think wishing harm on someone will ever help. And then insulting other men on top of that? What image are you trying to portray? I think one of the biggest things men need is a reasonable voice that is loud enough to be heard, not one that is overly aggressive and plays to the many stereotypes that exist.

Two wrongs don't make a right. You're not contributing positively to the argument. You're creating more of a divide.

I think it's generally to avoid a large group of people infiltrating another subreddit with a different opinion, thus creating conflict. Or at least that's what I think brigading is.

I've crossposted this as it unfortunately highlights the sad position a man is in when he is deceived and tricked into getting a woman pregnant.

Wow, I didn't know that. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. They have done other questionable things in the past too, but this will certainly stop me buying their beer now.

Hello. I am typing this from my cave too.

Ahh, no worries mate.
/r/MensRights07/03/20 10:48 PM

I completely agree with the latter. It's ridiculous anything like this is needed.

Huh. I am from the UK. Which other nation are you referring to, if you don't mind me asking.

Are you saying the act is terrible or the fact that you cannot sign it is terrible?
/r/MensRights06/03/20 09:56 PM

I'm not saying your ideology is wrong, as it isn't. But this is a petition platform for UK citizens to raise their concerns to parliament for debate if they get enough signatures. The UK government is interested in what it's citizens have to say. If they listened to every other country's citizens instead of their own, I doubt the incumbents would be voted in next time.
/r/MensRights06/03/20 09:09 PM

Pretty fair, to be honest. It's a platform for UK citizens by the government of the UK.

Come on, take the time to understand the post before insulting someone. That is just petty. I mean the title even says "don't let the title fool you"...

I think I'd blink a few times without saying a word as my brain tries to process that someone is refusing to sell me something where their goal is to sell me products. I would then walk out without saying a word, leaving all my food where it is.

Can you imagine the amount of hatred that would be spouted on social media if this was the other way around.

She's now protected her tweets. I wonder how long it will be for her to surface again. Honestly, I really hope this makes her question her position but I highly doubt it will have any lasting impact on her version of diversity. Alan Turing absolutely deserves to be remembered this way. She literally took his position on face value and does not know how he suffered more than many people will today.

Sometimes I will disprove their "facts" or "idea", but it generally falls on deaf ears. Typically these people are the sort that believe it is their way or the highway. They will not listen to a random person on Twitter. It's sad. Very sad, unfortunately.

This has been shared by a freelance female journalist who writes for major UK newspapers. I won't name and shame, obviously. But it's awful to see...

There are some excellent comments against this study as it focuses purely on women and therefore, in my eyes, perpetuates the idea that sexual harassment is one-way.
/r/MensRights29/05/19 11:04 PM
3

Agreed! This must just infuriate people who are actually plus-size.
/r/MensRights28/05/19 02:56 PM

Aye, you're right. Unless someone is trying to play the politically correct game.
/r/MensRights28/05/19 01:41 PM

Oh. You're continuing? Please continue to use generic insults in an attempt to make yourself feel better. You clearly know nothing about the English if you believe insults like that would hurt the average person.
/r/MensRights19/05/19 10:42 PM
3

Wow. I'm not going to bother debating something with someone who insults a person for being from a specific country. You really have a screw loose. Think before you type/talk. P.s. I'm reporting you for your toxic behaviour. I hope you're banned.

Asking for someone not to send a nude photo to you does not make you a bitch. How can you genuinely believe that it does?
/r/MensRights19/05/19 10:18 PM

You don't understand the principle at all if you ridicule someone for doing this. You don't know his situation. Why must every man accept titty pics when they don't want them? It's his livelihood, most likely. He probably doesn't wan to jeopardise that. Or he's in a relationship, who knows. Honestly, I cannot work out whether or not you're serious or just a troll. Your comment is so bad on many levels

This is exactly the reason why women have 'easier' physical tests in the British Army.
/r/MensRights01/05/17 06:26 PM

Yep. Who knows their reasoning, but I personally think people are just following what they believe is politically correct. Especially with all the pro-female news coverage.

I don't really see how this is classed as newsworthy, as it should not matter whether the crew is all male or female.
/r/MensRights04/03/17 01:20 PM

Wow, good spot! I missed that but now it's really annoying me!
/r/MensRights01/03/17 09:38 PM

I saw a cut-down version of this advertised on TV recently and I honestly didn't see the point in it at all. It's trying to remove the stigma that women will be judged for undertaking sport, but I think it's a little harsh to run it specifically for women. There are many people out there who are intimidated by sport due to not necessarily being good or perhaps overweight. It shouldn't be a gender-specific advert. I'd like to say it's nice to know I'm not the only one that suffers, but to be honest I wouldn't wish it upon anyone! I also resort to shaving. I want to try Nair, but I dare not do it!

Interesting. I have hair on my shaft and I've always wondered whether or not it was possibly related to my awful circumcision.
/r/MensRights26/02/17 07:33 PM
9

I'm glad you don't resent it. I'm also circumcised but I'd honestly have liked the choice as mine was not a medical necessity, meaning it should have been my choice to make at some point in my life
/r/MensRights26/02/17 07:30 PM

Yeah, let's go with that :)

focussing Ah, I see! To be honest, this is where the English language can be come annoying and often a hot topic for debate. Neither focusing or focussing is right or wrong. I believe 'focusing' is becoming more popular, though. Traditionally it was seen as the 'American way', whereas 'focussing' was traditionally the 'British way'. I had this discussion at work recently and we found that our Oxford dictionary has 'focusing' whereas our Colin's dictionary has 'focussing'.

Yeah, it's not equality when it is forced like this.
/r/MensRights15/02/17 12:35 PM

I'd rather send you a gift for brightening up my day with a great comment. I still can't find the typo, though. I'm normally "quite" good at that sort of thing!
/r/MensRights15/02/17 12:34 PM

People don't owe you anything because of your vagina! I've got to admit, I love that line. It would be excellent if it could actually be used in these sort of situations, but you'd most likely end up receiving death threats.
/r/MensRights15/02/17 12:18 PM

I certainly like the idea of a diverse group of speakers, but I just cannot accept that it should be standard practice to aim for an equal group. That will, without a doubt in my mind, lead to a poorer selection of speakers. Am I being too harsh?
/r/MensRights15/02/17 10:55 AM
5

An event held in the North of England is being labelled as 'embarassing' because of a lack of female speakers. Essentially, the event shouldn't choose speakers based on content, it should make sure that there is an equal number of female speakers regardless. I personally would not want to attend an event that tries to fill a quota rather than have simply the best content it possibly can.
/r/MensRights15/02/17 10:02 AM
1

Oh god. Haha.
/r/MensRights02/02/17 06:17 PM
3

Brilliant. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees the article in this way.
/r/MensRights02/02/17 03:02 PM

Wow, that seems ridiculous!

But we can become a queen ;)

This isn't necessarily about the rights of men, but the article states that Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland is seeking a young woman to mentor. In the second paragraph, it talks about equality. If she believed in equality, she wouldn't be looking specifically for a woman.
/r/MensRights02/02/17 12:16 PM

"The future is female" Now that's equality!
/r/MensRights26/01/17 10:23 PM

Yep, you're right. They really are going against their supposably unbiased approach.
/r/MensRights18/01/17 08:44 PM
12

Don't apologise for having an opinion. Especially when a lot of people here will like your opinion, haha :)
/r/MensRights18/01/17 09:11 AM
2

Bloody hell that's awful. I know you'll take no notice of what they say anyway, but rest assured knowing they're probably idiots who are lacking a few brain cells. Yes, I'm attacking there and that necessarily isn't right. But what they said to you is stupid.
/r/MensRights17/01/17 08:27 PM

You have a point. Even if exists, it is showing tolerance.
/r/MensRights17/01/17 07:43 PM
23

Surely someone is going to do it.
/r/MensRights17/01/17 07:42 PM

An interesting read. It would be good to hear everyone's opinion on this. I don't really know where I stand. Is it positive or negative?
/r/MensRights17/01/17 07:06 PM

Segregation is not the answer. History has taught us that, at least. Also, please don't claim I'm doing anything wrong by posting this here. I fail to see how what I've shared here is a great disservice.
/r/MensRights17/01/17 02:07 PM
2

Does that mean you agree with this act by Air India? If there's an issue then I do agree that it needs to be solved, but segregation is a slippery slope.
/r/MensRights17/01/17 09:53 AM
2

You've got a fair point. It is the BBC that is publishing this article, so you'd think there was some facts behind the scenes. However, in recent years they've become more of a tabloid than a reliable source for quality news.
/r/MensRights17/01/17 08:56 AM
1

I completely agree with you. People are calling out the fact that India has a rape problem but that doesn't mean segregation is the answer.
/r/MensRights17/01/17 07:02 AM
4

It's segregation. That shouldn't be the answer.
/r/MensRights17/01/17 07:01 AM
10

They certainly do have a problem, but segregation isn't the answer.
