i did a 10-day vipassana course. id say its extremely cultish. and doesnt offer anything more than basic zen techniques. ive been studying meditation by myself and in different korean and japaense buddhist schools and traveling asia for 7 years. im a complete rationalist and atheist too. well. the opportunity to sit for 10 day for free without any distractions is unique, but they are brainwashing you like hell
