that means she is still your oneitis. If you lift for women, you're not gonna make it. Lift to improve yourself and to make yourself a stronger man for God. There are plenty of women, and quite frankly if you're this upset about one girl you need to take a much longer break from dating. Btw, getting a nice body wasn't going to make her like you in the first place, it's one of many factors.

Discipline endures, motivation is fleeting. Pray to God for wisdom and discipline. Spending quality time in the morning w God w scripture and prayer will help provide wisdom, discipline and clarity.

he's merely referencing something that happened. it goes without saying that it's a sin. we're not white liberals, we don't have to have disclaimers for everything we say

a faith contingent on her attraction to her man is not a true faith. Faith does not come from frame, it comes from the Father drawing on you with the Holy Spirit towards Christ. "No man can come to me, unless The Father who has sent me will draw him"

I'm sorry to hear that. You said you feel like you ruined a perfectly good friendship, but I don't see why even that is appropriate. Men and women can't just be "friends", the sexual tension will always build. There's a reason we used to have a highly regulative patriarchy that didn't leave men and women alone.

I agree. It should be clarified to the kid that fornication is to be avoided. It’s really good w regard to male-female dynamics tho. We have some sidebar posts that clarify the RPChristian spin on plate spinning

Following those 2 commandments doesn’t matter if you’re not saved before the day of judgment lol. You can’t work your way to righteousness. Repent and believe the gospel, or suffer eternal separation from God. I say this out of love and not out of pettiness.

You do not worship the same God. We Christians worship an eternal Jesus Christ, who has always been God, as was God the Father and the Holy Spirit. The Trinitarian God is three persons, one being, who are co-eternal and made the universe ex-nihilo. Your false prophet Joseph Smith was visited by a demon that masqueraded as an angel of light bringing a false gospel (Grace after all that you can do). An eerily similar event happened with the prophet in Islam being visited by an angel (but I’m sure …

read the sidebar materials such as When I Say No I Feel Guilty and No More Mr Nice Guy. Both of these books will help a lot.

OP, you edited in your stats and mission, but that isn't a "mission". If you read and understand the sidebar, you'll understand that the mission is the most important part, it isn't something to just brush off while you wait for "other advice" for the specific problem you've presented. That specific problem you have is a SYMPTOM of you being a drunk captain of your own life, and nobody wants to join that ship. Lurk more, read the sidebar, look at other mission statements and develop your own. Do…

post your stats (height, weight, body fat percentage, lifts). All i see here is sob story of excuses. Most of us have wicked sins in our past, and you're not in a terrible position (especially with that income and savings). What is your mission? Are you posting in OYS every week? It seems that you're evaluating your self-worth based on your relationship status and history. Your self worth should be evenly distributed between your mission, your physical progress, your finances, your personality, …

Have intellectual conversations with your male friends, and marry a godly woman who you are excited to have sex with (but that doesn’t mean marry the hottest girl you can find, as Deep Strength said)

Conversion therapy doesn’t work. Do you understand the gospel? Only the gospel can change your heart. Repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God of the trinitarian God of the Bible

you literally are asking for help with your wife, and when we point you to the tried and true sidebar you criticize it. Do you just want us to just tell you want you want to hear? Go over to r/Christianmarriage if you want to remain in the same spot you are now. Lifting trees, splitting wood, and butchering your own animals is based, nobody is denying that. Lifting heavy weights in deadlift, squat, and other compound lifts are going to make you not only strong, but they're going to increase your…

yeah i think i'm going to hire a personal trainer to help me with form and just do it right the first time. I'm also going to watch all the strength lifts videos closely and write some notes down for each lift to read before each set
/r/RPChristians30/10/20 06:46 AM

So we should delete the sidebar’s lifting section because you did something stupid at 18?
/r/RPChristians29/10/20 04:35 AM

Read the sidebar. Lifting is not a suggestion. We’re telling you what to fix and what’s wrong, yet you’re refusing the advice while at the same time you’re puzzled as to why your problems won’t go away. “Don’t care to, don’t need to”. Okay well then continue in your starfish sex failing marriage. We recommend SL5x5 as a starting point, you can download the app if you have a smart phone.

yes but we're asking about your overall mission, so change it to the mission of your life.
/r/RPChristians28/10/20 08:30 PM

The stats aren't asking about your calisthenics routine, it's asking about your deadlift, your squat, etc. and not "almost six pack", it's asking body fat % specifically. There is a rhyme and reason for the requirements in posting, you don't get to just bypass that and wonder why you're still a chump. Your mission should not be about your wife, even if that's the subject of the post. The woman is to be the glory of the man, not the center of his attention.
/r/RPChristians28/10/20 08:29 PM

look into those if you want to remain a chump instead of the tried and true SIDEBAR. Read the Bible, everyday. Read before you eat. If you don't read, you don't get to eat. It can even be just 3 chapters a day. Read the Sidebar. Develop a mission. Post in OYS everyweek. Join the discord channel for even more accountability. Keep building your frame. Keep reading the sidebar.

It comes across as weak to me that you keep pointing out the disrespect so often. If you've been lurking and learning the material as you claim, you would just agree and amplify, or negative inquiry, etc. If a woman was treating me like that I would switch my attention over to more important things. You said you're working to get back into the gym. Any concrete plans? What are your workout goals? We all recommend SL5x5 in here as a place to start, which would be especially helpful given that you…

Don't get a home gym then, go to a $10 a month gym for all i care.
/r/RPChristians22/10/20 10:33 PM

that's why i was saying it's a maintaining thing during the peak workload of your career. You're telling me you couldn't stick to 3 lifts a week? especially in a home gym? The SL5x5 program is 3x a week and takes about 30 minutes IIRC. That sounds like a time management issue.
/r/RPChristians22/10/20 10:18 PM
1

Why not have both? you can workout like 2-3 times a week at least while still working hard at your career, especially if you have a home gym. So yeah, you might not be able to workout everyday, and eat nothing but brown rice, chicken and broccoli, but as u/Deep_Strength said eventually it's just a maintenance thing. It'll also boost your confidence and energy levels and help you get promotions, etc.
