most people have nothing going on in their lives - they see someone showing signs of confidence or any real merit and it's just a game of tear that person down, try to make them feel as empty inside as you do - don't buy into it, and if that's what you see from people, fuck them - find your own shit to do, they aren't worth anything to you anyways.

According to the title, the study concluded 'that there was literally no research', so I guess now we know they're bad? I mean I've got no research either but I can tell you for sure that there are thousands of journalists turning over in their graves after that one

it's that whole thing that's like 'if you don't like the conversation, change it' like they came up with some stuff that you can't argue against without sounding like a shitty person within their narrow little contexts - they don't get any traction as long as people don't get baited by the nonsensical flailing

the logical fallacy that basically boils down to 'your argument isn't as valid as mine for no other reason than because I said so', I mean applying it to black people or other charged topics like that is pretty low hanging fruit

Well hey, man, whatever works for you, that's the key. I live in a college town and last night there was a big 4/20 thing, my town just 'legalized' weed so like there's supposed to be no fines now, right, so I'm not really interested but I'm cruising around, like 7 last night scouting around town to keep track of what's going on and I see about a block away from where this is mostly going on, they've got a SWAT van and 50+ cops milling around in a bank parking lot (which for a town this size mig…

Yeah but is it nearly as catchy as saying 'our curriculum is fine just the way it is'?

Yeah I mean my school we get guys who will literally just put a dress on over their standard male street clothes every day, it looks so far beyond stupid, I swear to god I have never seen anything like it. And you know that's why they're doing it, just to make people say they've never seen anything like it, and attention.
