| 0 | The gender privilege mythWhoever finds examples of a MRA or feminist doing or saying the most terrible stuff wins this argument? Sure, you won buddy. | /r/MensRights | 28/01/19 12:19 PM |
| -1 | The gender privilege mythIf you actually believe that social science such as history or political science isn't science then there is really no need to keep up the conversation. This subreddit is dense as fuck. | /r/MensRights | 28/01/19 09:16 AM |
| -1 | The gender privilege mythYeah and civil rights avtivists have not fought for the rights of homosexuals. Just because you focus on one specific issue doesn't devalue your activism in general. | /r/MensRights | 28/01/19 12:38 AM |
| 0 | The gender privilege mythCan you find, for instance, anyone in the mens rights movement who says that we must reduce the population of women down to 10%? Who does that, can you give me a source? I have read of many men's rights activists that claim that women are inferior to men, that want to go back several hundred years to subjugate women again. If feminist ideas had any resemblance to reality then there shouldn't be all of these groups. Because they are all making claims which (for the most part) should be testable a… | /r/MensRights | 27/01/19 11:48 PM |
| 0 | The gender privilege mythSo what? Do you as a men's right activist want to be judged by the actions of the worst incels and sexist conservative politicians? Handpicked and one-sided examples will never convince me to make broad judgements of an entire social movement. | /r/MensRights | 27/01/19 11:32 PM |
| -8 | The gender privilege mythThese are examples, hand picked to make feminism look terrible. Some feminists are radical and uninformed. When I wanted to make this subreddit look bad I could point to various radicals, incels, pick up artists and ultra right wing politicians. But do you actually think that this is what men's right activism is really about? You would probably say that each movement has bad actors. Well, so does feminism. And feminism isn't one movement, it has hundreds of different subgroups with different ide… | /r/MensRights | 27/01/19 09:44 PM |
| 1 | The gender privilege mythWell, I also agree with most of your points but I do think that having fucked up priorities is a problem of the news media and more generally society. That's not specific to feminism, although browsing reddit one could think it is. A Weinstein scandal will always get more attention in the media than homeless people. Feminism will not solve these problems but they are at least part of the progressive camp that tries to do something about these issues. | /r/MensRights | 27/01/19 06:42 PM |
| -2 | The gender privilege mythWhat are the policies to reduce the number of male suicides, male homelessness and male incarceration? Well, the very same policies I already pointed out. I don't think we will ever reach true parity in those issues nor do I think we will ever completely close the wage gap. Men and women are different. Women can get pregnant, they are more likely to care for their kids and men are often more ambitious and aggressive, which often translates to a higher income. But that means that men also commit … | /r/MensRights | 27/01/19 06:28 PM |
| 6 | The gender privilege mythMost feminists I know are for better social security which would help people to not lose their homes. They want better gun regulation and mental health care which would reduce suicides. They want a justice system that focuses on rehabilitation rather than punishment which would reduce incarceration rates. You blame feminists when the true enemy of us men are the people that are responsible for and profit from the system. | /r/MensRights | 27/01/19 04:43 PM |
