Im sure you had some good recipes and mcdougall links, I’m still vegan, mainly plant based but i needed to increase calorie density to keep a healthy weight / not die so i eat oil and fake chicken, gasp. Sometimes i feel bad for leaving the PBD sub bc of all the women who’d show up with amenorrhea and/or other starvation symptoms but I did what I could for multiple years… had five spice tofu, quinoa and roasted veggies today!

Relevant study just released today as it happens: https://www.demographic-research.org/volumes/vol46/20/46-20.pdf (Parental) divorce is worse than death—when it comes to kids’ educational attainment. with data from 17 countries from the Generations and Gender Survey, we found that parental divorce had a larger impact than parental death. Do any of those studies even address causality? Reverse causation seems more likely to me, i.e., women who have more issues pair bonding sleep around more for that exact reason. OR they’re both caused by a third variable, in this case being insecure and seeking validation. Both possibilities mean the pair bonding effect would not have been prevented had they repressed the impulse to sleep around. Most negative mental health traits correlate with other negative mental health traits.
