At some point many of these evolutionary features became cultural signifiers in society and present themselves in the general preferences of the average person when it comes to who they are attracted to. Women preferring taller men, men preferring curvy women, etc. So in that sense, many behaviors are predictable like you said. This culture, which expands beyond biology, would also evolve and change over time; having an effect on the people within it that could include shaping or creating new st…

Wow dude you must have a pretty big book of observations to know that's the only thing that exists. I guess we should just listen to you because your anecdotal experience seems to match up to reality sooooo well.

Wow I guess everyone is just a monkey and that's where it ends, I'm sure you're doing really well with women.

Don't take a match as anything other than someone swiped right on you, the reason could be anything from narcissism or the need to be validated all the way to the other side, where they might really like you based off your profile. I am saying that, if you are talking to women, and 90% of the time they do not want to actually go out and ignore you, the chances of it always being the need for attention seems incredibly low. What I am saying is that there might be something you are doing or not do…

If this is true, I seriously doubt it's on them if it happens 90% of the time; you're obviously misreading interest or something.

I just couldn't imagine a more inaccurate word to describe the people that post here.

Racism is also losing its hard definition because of emotional effects similar to this. To make a example, it's not racist to not desire to date outside of your race, that's a preference. But many would call that racist because they believe it has to be based on assumptions about other races. Unless the individual said it was because of hatred, we can't just make that determination. I think this is really what is at the core of the discussion, the actual term we should use for these "triggers". …

Being submissive is a preference, not wanting someone submissive is a preference, thinking all bisexual men are submissive is a weird thing to think when it has nothing to do with attraction. I know you're just explaining what they would be thinking, but every time you do it's literally just another stereotype. If you're disgusted with the idea of having sex with a gay man and you're a straight man, that is not homophobia, that's literally just what you are hard wired to like. It's obviously not…

I mean, those things you describe are stereotypes which are like the core of what homophobia is. STDs being spread by bisexual men is literally christian propaganda from the 90's. I just wish people could be honest and not pretend that they are not homophobic. There is a difference between something not being a turn on and being actually disgusted by the same act with another gender. If you don't like someone because they engage in the act at all, that would be different. I'm trying to make this…

Do you think these women ask every guy they fuck if he ever put his dick in some chicks ass? Because being weirded out by one and not the other is only explainable by homophobia. Not saying you are homophobic.

Bro she's a living breathing person who grew up, has a brain, and can make decisions based on how she grew up and who she is now. Like what are you saying? How do you know you like someone or something? I promise it's probably similar but with different things becoming more or less important per individual. It's subjective but rooted in ideas of feminity/masculinity that are traditional, but you're literally in the midst of a cultural revolution, so what someone likes now is even more diverse th…

You act like the women's buffet is just out in the open and doesn't take energy and effort to see if any of those dishes are even viable. Maybe the man should think for a second and realize there is probably a reason she isn't eating any of those dishes. It might not make sense to you, the person in an entirely different situation, but you don't actually have any idea what is happening. My two cents. I hear this shit all the time in this sub and it's a really dumb analogy.

If I was a woman, I would rather die than date anyone on this website. Most of you are fucking insufferable, or at least the people who post here.

I mean you're not wrong in the sense of having random splotches and things not being as new as they were, but the attitude of a 30 year old is far more attractive than a 20 year old (not always obviously). In terms of just physical, yeah I would probably agree with you in the sense that physically, our peak potential is probably in the 20's.

Lol, I don't think so dude. After a certain age, yeah, but not 30 lmao.

This is what I don't understand. Does FDS really believe that the talking stage is an effective method at vetting people? Obviously you can eliminate people who are clearly incompatible, but for anyone else it seems like it's the bare minimum to get to know someone and doesn't really do all that much. This is where my aversion to dinner dates comes from (I genuinely don't give a shit about paying so we can leave that off), why should I go on a dinner date with someone I don't actually know anyth…

I think fluctuating populations are not as dramatic as you're making it out to seem, and the amount of people who don't want children is incredibly small. I bet if things were better for the majority of people economically, then there would be more children being born. My point is that you can sacrifice your own time, energy, and money for people in the future without having a direct line to the future (a kid). Plus there is always adoption, which would help children not turn to crime and other …

I can payback society without having kids. You're not doing anything virtuous or noble by having kids.

Bro if you're not willing to change for a relationship what is the point of the relationship? It's literally intertwining two people's lives, she would probably change too. The point of "be yourself" isn't to get people who don't like you to like you, it's so that when you find someone that you get along with, you're not wasting your own energy being a different person.

I think this is a myth. A person today could tinker in more areas than anyone could have ever imagined before but most people simply do not have the will/curiosity whatever it is. I'm assuming though that it (having skills/abilities) is probably linked to confidence for many men so you're probably not wrong on that point.
