I’ve been going out with this girl for two weeks. I would say my family is wealth like top 1%, and I have a pretty good income for a 22 year. This chick’s family is like .001% and smart as hell. I’m both attracted to it and intimidated.
Not hating, but if I knew he could afford to spend more on me I’d want that. But I have stupid high standards for people I’ll go out with so I can’t imagine what’d they’d be like if I were a woman.
The nice thing about dating as a woman (who dates, in my view, correctly), is that they know with reasonable confidence the guy isn’t just taking out multiple women. A good date is like $100-200 so unless you’re making a ton, the average guy can only be courting maybe maybe two people at once. A woman on the other hand, can easily go out every night.
Damn, went on a first date and thought it went really well she even asked if I was free this weekend at the end. But I msged her telling her I had a great time and hoping she did too over an hour ago and she hasn’t responded. Might be over thinking it but idk
Whenever I look at statistics for income I’m always baffled how anyone’s living. I make more than about 65% of US households. I’m 22 live in a shitty area and have a roommate, still feel broke. How tf is the normal household making it.
Just booked a reservation at an expensive restaurant in my city for a first date. Prob a bad idea but this chick is cute and I wanna try the restaurant out anyways. Couldn’t care less if i throw $250 down the drain for it. Fuck coffee or walking dates
I hate how generous my parents act. They paid 6k for my car when I was in hs and paid for one semester of college then gave me $150 when I moved out. You’d think they bought me a rolls Royce.
This also is stupid advice. I think I make good money so $100 dinner isn’t a big deal. But the median 30 year old makes $52k a year pretax. When you going to start dating, your 50s? Just date in your range should be the advice.
I don’t mind paying for dinner at all and would turn down an offer to split, but whenever I see those women saying like “if you don’t got $100 to be spending on dinner don’t date” I get irrationally upset. Acting as if $100 is some inconsequential amount of money. That’s like a months utilities or car insurance or a weeks worth of food. Also it’s not a one off expense.
Got a girls number from OLD, we text, shes super nice and like engaged in the conversation asks me questions about myself but it’s so fucking boring and clunky it feels like we are just interviewing each other.
That my point . If Charlie says “hey college kid, what’s a woman” he wants something that encompasses every single instance. But as we have discovered there are edge cases.
Yes that’s the entire point. There isn’t one definition that covers all cases. Ie trans people. Fucking idiot get out of your stupid right wing circle jerk section.
You ain’t missing much, been on a few. They aren’t that hard to get, go in a dating app, swipe right on everyone and then ask someone if they want dinner.
I’ve done the math and if I don’t switch jobs and save the same amount every year, then the earliest I could be a millionaire by net worth will be in 11 years. If the market grows at 10%. Depressing.
Yes, anything that improves your quality of life and is not needed would be a luxury not a necessity. Is this news to you? You can live with luxuries they are good things lol I’m typing this on an iPhone 15 in my air conditioned apartment.
I hate how many people don’t realize how many thing they live with that are luxuries not necessities. Indoor AC, wifi, TVs, any form of vacation, going out to eat at all, skin care/makeup, pets, haircuts, etc. a lot of people feel like their living on bare minimum but you could cut alot out.
I hate how my mom treats my grandma (her mom). My parents have plenty of money and my grandma lives off social security not really due to her own fault yet they never offer her any money. They made such a big deal of getting her an iPad for Christmas one year when that’s pennies to them.
When I was 15, my younger brother and I got into a full on fist fight in a Walmart. My mom flipped out and slapped me then cried bc she slapped me. Still think about that.
I reached out to an insurance broker cause I heard they do a pretty good job. Person came back and gave me the highest quote I’ve gotten by over $600. Then has the audacity to imply I’m up to something shady when I say their quote is insane.
The most upvoted shit is always “uhh muh I hate my life, the world sucks, it’s torture to be alive, why bring a child into this?” Then maybe something about climate change.
I have a horrendous driving record, and I’m a young guy. I love getting calls from insurance salesmen where they try and tell me my $300 a month bill is actually a great deal. It’s funny every time cause you can feel it through the phone when they see my driving record.
