| 1 | My deepest apologiesAnd I can't reccommend marriage to anyone.... no need for a piece of paper to declare officially that you love eachother. It's too expensive and ridiculous to untangle when it doesnt work out. Broken system. My kids will get quite the education about what marriage actually means financially. | 1 | My deepest apologiesI'm a woman... can I weigh in here? I think we can easily replace "man" or "woman" with "higher earner" and "lower earner". I'm in the middle of divorce, I left him because I was living with disrespect and no connection. I am the higher earner and can't believe what I have to give him to get my freedom and live with my head held high. Alimony, split 401 k, marital home that I paid for!!!!, etc. Yes it's worth every penny to be free but it still kills me.
