False rape allegations are horrible but to say they are as damaging as actual rape is so incredibly naive. Rape can be bad and false allegations can also be bad. I do. And most of my feminist friends are empathetic to my personal issues with custody battles, unreasonable child support, and when I was sexually assaulted by a female. I think that you misinterpret the “man vs bear” thing to frame men somehow as the victims, instead of realizing that there are a lot of shitty men out there that have conditioned these women to fear men. Of course a bear is capable of more damage than an average man but women encounter violent men FAR more often, so that fear is very real and tangible to them.
