Could OP somehow establish himself as the primary caregiver and pillar of emotional support? Perhaps start talking more to his kid, and hearing him out like an adult instead of trying to bribe him? The goal would be to get his son to prefer him over his mother. OP doesn't have to disclose any sordid secrets (unless his wife tries to blame him for her cheating), all he has to do is be both attentive and yet not solicitous, respectful without being craven or overly pandering.

She will try the old levers of control one by one, be it shaming, accusing you of projected bad behaviour so that she can justify what she has done to third parties ie he made me do it I am a victim here, to trying to seduce back onto the plantation. Honestly, you're making her sound as scary as Pennywise the Clown. If she really felt guilty about it, she would not try to fight it or manipulate OP first by begging, then by changing her tune and being mean, then by throwing a pity party and cryin…

Granted, she might be OK with dating a shorter guy (let's not assume), but what makes me shake my head here is how she sounds so entitled to being considered as attractive as the next girl. If it had been a guy posting that he felt it was only fair that girls were attracted to him as much as they were to other types of men, he would be crucified and told that he was not entitled to women's time or affection. I agree that no one is entitled to a romantic partner regardless of their gender. Howeve…

'If yah don't like kids,...' That sounds like an attempt to use her kid to guilt men into dating her. Obviously there are two kinds of men: Men who are OK and men who are NOT OK with that. Both are 100% entitled to feel the way they feel. What she did was NOT cool because it sounded like she was claiming that men would HAVE to date her unless they didn't like kids (people who claim they don't like kids are often frowned upon as unempathetic assholes).

I think the problem here is that men and women alike tend to think that the opposite gender thinks like them. Men forget that, compared to them, women rarely suffer from the male equivalent of ED (something that prevents penetrative, Penis-in-vagina sex), and women forget that men can't have penetrative sex with their penises unless they can get it up in the first place - which does NOT happen on demand. The result is that you have women unconsciously assuming that men COULD have sex with fat wo…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
