autistic I would be a little remiss in dismissing guys on the autism spectrum, but you do you.

At 30, I was engaged to a man from our church, having known his family since I was 7. He thought the 23 years of knowing me provided him with the "responsibility to deflower" (his words) me. To make a long, depressing story short, we broke up, I had to move away, so enrolled in a doctoral program, where I met my (now) husband of 8 years. He didn't care to know about my past, as "there's no way to change what happened. No matter what it is, as of right now, you have a clean slate. Only thing that…

What it means is that I was paraphrasing, not arguing.

Your concern for your friend comes from the heart, of course. But its expression needs to be tempered by your head. So, have you met the man in question? Does he seem stable to you?

I often question him about his past To what end? I've been married 8 years and only know my husband had girls before me because his sister's a blabbermouth and I met an ex of his at our wedding -- we're now the best of friends. Oh, and two of them have since passed, with one suicide (RIP). none of your previous boyfriends or anyone who liked you thought they should address your insane traits because you kept them hooked by being fun and hot and a refreshing personality compared to other girls th…

Congrats on landing on your two feet! I met my husband post-wall also, after a youth misspent dismissing guys based on aspects like height and skin color, and couldn't be happier. His aunt is one of Britain's top IVF people to whom I owe our daughter. A fantastic family, which has been through a lot, but are still incredibly generous and caring. Even though I am neither of husband's ethnicity nor religion, he took his 34th year of life and devoted it to caring for his (then) girlfriend of 1 mont…

That just sounds really unfortunate for everyone involved Unfortunately, it's scientifically accurate.

How does it work in your relationship? The reptilian part of my mind -- the subcortex -- determines whether my mood will be good or bad. This is reflected in my demeanor, which my family -- husband and child -- eventually pick up on. They help by not making it worse and it eventually subsides.

First off, I'm sorry you're going through this. i lied to his face last night About what? There are different types of lies, with varying degrees of gravity. I just told my husband that "Dinner will be ready in just a sec". Now, he and I both recognize it won't be, but technically, it's a lie. However, we feel it is inconsequential -- given that we've been happily married 8 years.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
