I can't grow a full beard so I run a moustache and chin hair (Johnny Depp style). I definitely agree that the physique is important. As I got chubby I started looking softer and fatter in the face but when I was younger my jawline and short hair worked together. I'd like to buzz or high and tight but have to keep dropping weight for now.

About a month on average, but regular gelling keeps it consistent. I gave it some pomade recently but I wasn't a fan. I'm going to keep going at it though because maybe I just didn't do it the right way. I prefer gel personally but maybe it's just the comfort of gel since I was younger

It is definitely heavy for me. I'm maxing out at the end of the rep ranges. If I hit over 12 then I progressive overload by upping the weight, but the feedback I'm getting here is that the other programs (5 reps) are overall better for me.

Not likely to have sex = rejected. I do initiate everyday, but without enough time it doesn't spark. I am not making the feelz happen so it's like swimming upstream I think.

In terms of responsibilities I mean in terms of things that I need to handle mentally and emotionally without putting it on my wife. For example, dealing with work or family issues or whatever else without looking to her for comfort or guidance. The ideal partnership I had envisioned is antithetical to the red pill principles of a stoic male presence. Also, wouldn't MMSLP address the how and why of this not sparking better than NMMNG? I didn't own my shit effectively so I'm giving it an earnest restart. It's pretty clear with the lack of self development I had after so many posts. I kept getting in my own way by not being consistent in gym, reading, and even writing the OYS and replying to comments. There's very little desire or polarity and that's not vaginismus fault. I just need to pull my cart. Even if I wasn't with my wife my unattractive behaviors would get in my way of sustained or growing sexual desire.

I'll usually initiate the kino or kissing and my wife won't decline but she's just accepting it basically as something I want. It doesn't give her the tingles anymore. Before we'd then mutually have sex but she knows that sometimes the kino or kissing is because I want to do more and she'll offer a blowjob.

Exactly that, she was very supportive at first but I think in getting through it she lost the respect she had for me. Even though I'm doing better now I think she is still concerned that I'm going to fall back to the dark mental place.

This definitely extends past my wife - even if I'm not offering negativity, sometimes I'm just offering neutrality when I'm fighting depression/anxiety from PTSD. I'm doing a lot better than I used to but not sure how to pour into others at times that I feel my cup is empty.

I just had a procedure and I'm trying to fight off degenerative disks. The real reason for not improving is, as you said, lack of consistency. I do have problems with being consistent in other areas of my life from a lack of discipline primarily. When I do get gym consistency I go overboard and often injure so I think it's the slow burn I need to embrace. I have been going to the gym consistently recently and my procedure was really successful so I'm hoping to start gaining on my lifts soon.

Thanks for the feedback. You're correct that some really traumatic stuff did happen and I felt robbed of my masculinity but I also understand that it's my responsibility to reclaim it. Even at my most masculine set of behaviors in adolescence I felt like I was masking. Eventually I went the nice guy route and I've been stuck here for a while. My biggest obstacle is the alternating duo of naivete and willful ignorance. Occasionally I get glimpses of the right mindset (OI and self-directed) but a …

I think the problem is connected to arousal. I can improve in game, frame, and other ways. Over time the sex life has eroded and while I can get oral sex my wife isn't interested/enthusiastic about any of my sexual advances (kino, kissing, etc). The vaginismus has improved over time and my size is just average, so I'm looking at it as symptomatic of the bigger lack of attraction.

You're hitting the nail on the head - I've been vague (honestly intentionally so). In concrete terms, I am dependent on my wifes presence, affection, and reception to my efforts for my self validation. My ability to be seen by her in a positive light is what has driven me as a teenager and young man to feel good about myself. I don't know too much but I have gotten repeated feedback from others that my goals and emotions are based on external validation. Making your mission in life to be an example for your future children can be basing your happiness/purpose in external situations. One thing that makes me happy that I can do for myself is probably something that goes against the MAP I used to enjoy games but I feel like that's counterproductive for the man I want to be. My MAP is mostly future based instead of present based - far off goals that don't have much short term gratification. OYS # 20 3/5/2024 30y 6’0”, 179.0 lbs, Wife 28y, together 14 years, no kids. Read: NMMNG / WISNIFG / MMSLP Implementation Check In - Being married has been different from dating in that my wife and I are actively trying to build a life together. We have differences of opinion all the time about what is the best way to proceed (finances/socially/professionally). I stand up more for what I want and that leaves me feeling happier in the marriage. So many of my anxieties or worries are based on fear…

Shalom. It's been better for a while, but I didn't mind it as much because to do so would be a lack of accountability on my end. Many husbands can be resentful of their wives that they don't want to have sex with them, but again, why should they? If I was not speaking/acting/leading attractively, then a woman should naturally be apprehensive. Instead of looking outward (her) I looked within and got to work. There's a lot of hard truths I've faced and harder truths within but removing her as my m…

I thought a lot about what you said, particularly about a portfolio and resume. Many teachers are transitioning out of teaching to something called instructional design. While there are degrees for the job, many people earn positions largely based on their prowess/portfolios. Blue sky thinking is thinking that the systematic problems I'm facing in my career will resolve. To that end, I'm learning more about ID. I don't have any contacts in that field but I'm learning what I need to do to get the…

In the analogy of the drunk captain and the first mate, I was (and sometimes still am) the drunk captain. In attempts to fix it, at times I've been the dancing monkey. While the relationship does have flaws that I've been addressing (to the best of my ability), I think she's a much more positive than negative person in my life. For some guys their wife is an obstacle to the life that they want to live but I value her and her contributions to my life more than the obstacles that I have. I'm on th…

So much of my desire or wishes to succeed with people in general has been me trying to convince them with words why what I want with/for them is a good idea. I think a truly solid frame is self-evident consistently. I've been an anxious guy for a long time so, with any evidence of that (me worrying about something), it's a failed shit test. Being negative is similar - I would say masculinity is the calm controlled presence that exudes confidence. Also, what do you mean by the juicy details?

Hey bro, thanks for your time and attention. 1- I also feel incongruent. In some ways my self image limits me from taking action - pessimism and otherwise. Oftentimes the attitude of just doing something is the best way for me to go. Working on mental health before game before marriage. It's largely daily habits - can't pay someone once/twice a week to shape my mind. Just like the body - need consistency. Going to incorporate gratitude journaling, focus more on my mission, and get into a more appropriate therapy.

Hey, thanks for the comment. I might be skinny but my body fat is pretty high. Well I think I'm trying to rack up wins. Objective wins - financial, physical, etc. I think that would go a long way to helping me appreciate myself, but just because you are winning doesn't mean you feel like you are a winner. Thanks. I'm going to start with this https://thefitness.wiki/routines/r-fitness-basic-beginner-routine/ Also, as far as diet goes, I think they said about 120-160g of protein daily. I'll aim for the 160 and my TDEE, on this calculator says 2300. It very well could so I've been setting more boundaries within the relationship by learning and using no to requests that are unnecessary. Specifically, saying no to picking up certain people for their convenience when they could easily meet us partially through the journey.
