Is femicide an unfair term?Dam I know this sounds brutal and sad to mention but more men are being killed a second than women by a lot, I know it’s not a competition but being a female in South Africa is still a lot safer than “being a man” in most other countries. You are at a high chance of being killed by your partner though. I’m sorry that people in SA are being treated like that | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 23/12/25 10:42 AM
Is femicide an unfair term? This sounds very biased. If you invested some time into looking at the others comments, you’d know that women’s deaths are very low in general, including intimate killings (femicide), so why is it a “global disaster”? If men had an equivalent which was gang related deaths then it would’ve been whatever is worse than a global disaster 😂 Saying women choose to leave rather than “kill” their partner is not fair. Men and women intimate killing in South Africa (where this femicide thing started) were… | /r/MensRights | 02/12/25 06:04 PM
Is femicide an unfair term?Thank you for these references!! Haha I try to avoid ChatGPT for statistics as sometimes it misleads them, but maybe I’ll ask it for references next time | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 26/11/25 10:52 AM
Is femicide an unfair term?Wow thank you, are all these stats from SAP’s annual report? | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 26/11/25 10:37 AM
Is femicide an unfair term?Interesting how the only death cause leading statistic for females is the definition for femicide | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 26/11/25 10:35 AM
Is femicide an unfair term?Interesting insight 🤔 | /r/MensRights | 26/11/25 10:21 AM
Is femicide an unfair term?What did they say? | /r/MensRights | 26/11/25 10:20 AM
Is femicide an unfair term? This is unfair, and not my point. It’s a very broad term and its “antonym” androcide has to be a “systematic killing”, compared to femicide which is just how 90% of women die (obviously excluding natural causes). Yes it’s hard to prove but it should be as hard as proving that it was racially motivated. | /r/MensRights | 26/11/25 10:20 AM
Is femicide an unfair term?Everything I’ve seen related to South Africa just talks about intimate partner killings, none provide proof to show that it is gender motivated, unless you can correct me | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 26/11/25 09:56 AM
Is femicide an unfair term?I agree, the term should be the same as androcide, and not very specific to it being how 90% of females die | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 26/11/25 09:54 AM
Is femicide an unfair term?So they knew it was because of race but it still got labelled as a femicide, aka gender motivated? | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 26/11/25 09:49 AM
Is femicide an unfair term?https://www.unodc.org/conig/en/stories/fifty-two-people-lost-their-lives-to-homicide-globally-every-hour-in-2021--says-new-report-from-unodc.html , homicide victims he might mean and it’s 81% | /r/MensRights | 25/11/25 01:15 PM
Is femicide an unfair term? The part that I find is insanity is how even the UN defines it as that, making it official | /r/MensRights | 25/11/25 01:06 PM
