Ironically yes. I have a cat myself (bite me, cat haters.) and he's a sweet cuddly boy, almost dog like in how he comes on command and lays with me all the time. My cats companionship, strangely, provides comfort and fills a void that even my wife cannot. A pet can do wonders if you can get one.
