Well, I think this is extreme. There are sensible women are there, and you almost make it sound like you want to avoid women in every aspect of life. That's not practical. If you see someone with blue hair and a "Misandry" shirt, sure, pick a seat on the other end of the bus. But you're going to end up unhappy if you seriously try to avoid 50% of the population for the rest of your life.

Yes. That was not defense. I was abused by my roommate, but if I had gone up to her while she was sitting on the couch watching TV and starting beating her up as payback, guess what that would have made me? An abuser! Same reason you can't go shoot up someone after a bar fight's over. It's not self defense anymore. Just because you're abused doesn't mean you have a free pass to violence.

If you go on facebook, or search it, there are several places to watch clips of the show. Edit: Here you go. I can't say whether the abuse claims were reliable or not. According to my very brief and annoyed look through the info, some say he was only cheating, some say he beat her terribly every day. He probably was a scumbag, but her reaction was extreme and unwarranted. Supposedly she did it while he was sleeping, so I'm not sure why she didn't just call the police or leave if she was fed up.

I have a Nexplanon implant in my arm, and it was totally worth it. The doctor used a numbing agent on my arm so it really didn't hurt as much as you might think. The only downside was a helluva bruise that lasted a week, but it was winter so I wasn't wearing short sleeved shirts anyway. I didn't circumcise my sons. That doesn't change a whole lot society wise, but it's part of me helping my boys be as confident and happy with themselves as I can. I'm not a confrontational person, but I speak up for equality and intactivist issues when the subject arises.

Yes, parents make decisions for their children and that only makes sense. The problem is that circumcision has no benefits for infants. They're not sexually active, and it's not a medically necessary surgery except in rare cases. Vaccinations on the other hand are a parent making a health choice appropriate for a child. By that logic FGM is okay too. Technically anyone who's born without a certain faculty will not be bothered as much as someone who lost it later in life (limbs, eyesight, clitoral hood, foreskin) but that doesn't make routine nonconsensual surgery okay.

I agree. I have to say I think this goes for almost everyone though. I think men and women both tend to act like they're he-man or the baddest bitch in town and nobody better fuck with them, but if it actually came down to a fight with someone more powerful than them they would crumble.

Yep. Feminism is "all about equality for everyone". This is why I don't keep up with feminists as much. I find the issues men in the country face much more pressing than Blurred Lines, or pink Legos. I also feel much more accepted here as a woman than in the feminist community, which really says something.

But they don't want to hear it. They want to remain victims and relish in the terror and fear of imagined, constant, impending rape so they can all complain on their blogs. It's gotten to where on Tumblr girls are claiming that catcalling and all piv (penis in vagina) sex is equivalent to rape. I have never heard an ACTUAL rape victim say those things, so that speaks for itself imo.

I don't know much about the history of politics, but you have any sources talking about the pendulum idea? It's interesting you mention that, because it really goes along with how I've been feeling lately. I consider myself somewhat left, but lately I've been wondering what the heck is going on. The tea party was bad for the Republicans, but now I feel there's this swelling faction of insanity on the left as well and I'm much more in the middle.
