Ask her about her passions. Whether movies, art, or whatever, it should be a topic she's passionate about, and therefore will gush about.

Just because you're single and straight doesn't mean that she's interested. You said yourself there wasn't much flirting, so what would make you think she was? 6 months, no dates, no flirting...no logic. She probably thought she found a good friend connection and that's why she wanted your opinion.

SEEK HELP FROM A THERAPIST AND YOU MIGHT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE BETTER.

Okay, you're a troll. Have a nice life.

I'm not playing with your feelings. I hope it works out. When you find someone you click with, people do hope that it works out. That's called being a good human. Maybe the never thinks of you again was mean, but I'm really beginning to believe you ARE a sociopath. Only a therapist can diagnose that. Seek help.

YOU LITERALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT STALKING IS CREEPY WHETHER SHE KNOWS IT'S HAPPENING OR NOT. You got good advice and then pushed it to that point of disgust. You're either on the spectrum to not understand that waiting would be creepy and that stalking is creepy even if someone doesnt know it's happening (in that case, my apologies, as I shouldn't be shaming someone on the spectrum). OR you're a sociopath. So please seek therapy. I'm just so creeped out by your behavior and lack of understand…

WOW.......A stalker stalking isn't less creepy because the person whom they are stalking is unaware. You're a fucking creep and I really hope her relationship works out and she never thinks of you again. Ugh. So creepy!! Just take no for and answer sociopath. JFC. God help that woman.

Well, then I would drop it all. Don't talk to her, don't reach out, don't count on her being around. Find someone new, who isn't in a relationship, to foster feelings for. It would be super creepy to just be waiting in the wings to set if her relationship fails.

Like I said, if she's okay with being friends, do that. Just like, don't be waiting around only for the plausibility of maybe dating.

I just mean wait for her to come to you in this situation. I have an fwb that I literally can't talk to when I'm in a relationship because he says a bunch of really inappropriate things. Things I love to hear when I'm single, but aren't okay when I'm in a relationship. He doesn't respect boundaries. So behave yourself means, respect her boundaries. Let her come to you. In a year, hard tell where she will be as far as relationship status or mentally. Maybe she's broken up and in a bad place. Mayb…

She's in a relationship. Find someone that doesn't have a boyfriend. She was incredibly kind in letting you down, that's not an offer to keep asking, it was a nice no. And if her relationship ends, don't run to her. She knows how your feel and appreciates sharing feelings, so she would very likely seek you out if she was interested. If she's comfortable being friends, stay that way but please behave yourself.

Even if that's the usual, it's okay that someone doesn't text back right away. Life happens and their world doesn't revolve around yours. If it does, that's called obsession. You're in your head bro.

I got you. That’s better than I was thinking. Thanks for clarifying OP. Honestly, I swipe for fun. I like the idea that I may meet new friends or even lovers, but I’m not always on the app, so sometimes you get someone that gets butthurt and tries that and then they get blocked.

By saying something divisive like calling someone out for not talking back...that’s trying to force - not forcing. I’m glad it worked for him, but would get a block/delete from me. I don’t do matches for ego, but I’m also not on it daily. It could be that she just wasn’t on the app? Like why does it have to be calling a gal out for maybe having a life?

Using a defense to get a woman’s interest seems like a bad choice. You’re trying to force them to talk to you...does that feel good to you?

I would absolutely wait until the whole therapy is over. In theory, if I was going to therapy to heal and some guy was hitting on me, I would wonder if nothing is sacred. Here is a place I’m supposed to be open and vulnerable and I now can’t, because someone is interested in me and I no longer feel comfortable sharing or being open. It might have side effects you don’t intend, especially if she isn’t interested. If she comes to you, that’s one thing, but definitely wait until the whole of therap…

That’s cool. It wasn’t accusatory. It was a plausibility. But I reiterate, talk to the lady. She can speak for herself best.

Okay. Well he does know her better. If you’re sure he’s not jealous, then maybe you can trust his judgment but also, just talk to the lady. She will tell you how she does with texts if you ask. But moreso just find out if y’all are interested in more than one date.

Just have a real convo. Also, everyone has different rates of texting, so it may not be what your roommate says. I am a woman and likely have even more experience than he does...but I have adhd and forget about texts completely sometimes. It’s not intentional, it just happens. Always get info from the source, not from a roommate who doesn’t know this young lady personally.

Just stating you’re non-monogamous at the moment should be enough. Those who want monogamy will fall away because you do not have the same goal. What is the point of getting to know them if you are both seeking two different types of relationships? It seems that you are upset that prospects are being chased away, but realistically you don’t have the same goal for the time being. It’s unfair to them to get to know them and become sexually involved, only to let them down that either they aren’t th…
