My grandpa had a secret family too! Didn’t find out until his funeral. My mum suddenly had two sisters she never knew about. He also lied about his age. His wife at the time had no idea how old he really was.

Ok, even if she does all the cooking and cleaning… there is no excuse to slam doors, give the silent treatment, and make her sons be scared to be in their own home. HVW shouldn’t act like this, it’s toxic. I’ve got PTSD growing up in a household with a mum like this.

My mum is like this too, and my dad was the kindest man. He would bring her flowers home every day, paid for everything, but it was never enough. He had a stroke and died and my mum still trash talks him. I grew up in a household with her yelling, screaming, and slamming doors. There is no excuse for this kind of behaviour.

Yes, I went through something traumatic and lost a lot of weight. He told me I was no longer attractive, had the body of a child, and I was a turn off. Refused to have sex with me or even touch me. He put me down every single day, then proceeded to cheat on me with so many women I lost count. When we broke up, I put the weight back on. Surprise, surprise, he wanted me back. Superficial prick.

Yeah, this happened to me. I got pregnant after meeting a guy on tinder, I only knew him about a month, but we were in that smitten stage where we saw each other every day and we were having sex a lot. I ended up having an ectopic pregnancy, and I was rushed to hospital and nearly died because my tube ruptured. They had to remove my tube. He said NOTHING. Completely ghosted me. It was honestly one of the hardest times of my life. He was back on tinder and posting on Facebook like nothing happene…

Ugh so true. My ex said he HAD to cheat on me, because I wasn’t attractive as I used to be and I was too skinny. I was skinny because he caused me so much stress! I looked like a corpse. I was constantly anxious and I gagged every time I ate. As soon as we broke up, I started looking good again because I didn’t have to deal with his abuse anymore!

I’m not the same person I was 13 years ago. Are you? People do crazy things when they’re grieving. It’s up to you what your deal-breakers are, but this was 13 years ago and his girlfriend died. I don’t think this makes him a loser.

This is why I haven't had sex for 5 years. There was a switch at some point where sex turned violent and every guy I had sex with would slap my face, spit on me, and choke me without consent. These guys NEVER made me orgasm. It was like they were acting out a porn scene every single time. There was zero emotional connection and it was honestly scary. I never want to have sex ever again if that's what it's like now.

This happened to me. I was FWB with my ex for years and we had great sex with lots of passion. But as soon as we became boyfriend and girlfriend and he fell "in love" with me, he lost all sexual attraction and refused to have sex with me. He said he couldn't have sex with a woman he cared about because he didn't want to hurt me. He was unable to have "normal" sex with someone he loved. It had to be abusive and degrading, every single time. I was no longer a whore to him, so he couldn't get it up…

This is exactly what my ex told me. I was the “love of his life” and he said he loved my personality, but I wasn’t physically attractive enough for him. He wanted a curvier girl and I was too skinny for him. He had the audacity to ask for an open relationship because my appearance couldn’t satisfy him sexually. I found out he was fucking multiple women behind my back and passed his STDS onto me. I’m not going to lie, the things he said about my body destroyed my self esteem and I struggle with i…

How is a scratch on his face not a red flag to these officers? I was in a physically abusive relationship when I was younger and I scratched his face because he was strangling me and I was trying to get him off me. There is a formula to identify victims of DV and every police offer should know this. Injuries are often found on the batterer from the survivor’s attempt to defend herself, such as scratch marks and bite marks on the body, especially on the chest and face. Scratch marks to the face, …

Oh wow, this is so spot on. My ex emailed me last year in the spring, I didn’t respond. He’s already blocked and deleted, not going to engage. Didn’t hear from him throughout autumn and winter, and I thought that was it. NOPE! I got the “hey” email this year as soon as winter ended. Lol they’re so predictable! As soon as the weather warms up, they message every girl they’ve ever met.

And please don’t send nudes to guys you aren’t even dating. It’s not going to make them like you and suddenly want to make you their girlfriend. The last two men I dated were very attractive and got loads of female attention. Random girls would send them nudes all the time. You’re just one of many. I was having dinner with a guy once and his phone went off. He showed me the message and it was a nude from a young 19yr old girl. Yeah, exactly. There’s a difference between having boundaries and treating your partner with disrespect. Don’t go around cheating and abusing men! That is not high value behavior. One of my friends is really mean towards guys and she’s now married to a great man, but she cheated on him a lot and he still stayed. My mother is also really mean. She was so abusive towards my dad, and never had a nice word to say about him. He was such a kind and gentle man but she tore him down. He was a doormat an…

I made this mistake. I let my ex live with me rent-free for a year while he put his apartment on Airbnb and made money off it 🤦‍♀️ He would brag about how much money he had in savings but never spent a cent of it on me. And he cheated on me the ENTIRE time with multiple women. He even brought them back to MY place while I was away and had sex with them in MY bed. And then passed his stds onto me. Growing up, my dad told me to make sure I never rely on a man. He told me to have my own income and to create a secret bank account. Thankfully, I’ve always had my own money and I’ve been able to walk away from bad relationships. Every little girl needs to be taught financial independence, instead of being taught that Prince Charming is going to save them.

Don’t take it as a compliment. He’s copying and pasting the same thing to every other woman in his phone. I’ve seen men do it. I literally went on vacation for 5 DAYS and my ex contacted every woman he had ever met. There were hundreds of them, I lost count! It was the same copy/paste message to every one. (Yes, I checked his phone)

I have this problem when I’m ovulating. I feel like I’m an animal on heat and I need to get release! I have to remind myself that it only lasts a day or two and then I will go back to normal. I have to use some serious self control. Surround yourself with people that you’re not sexually attracted to! I made sure I made plans with my mother so I wouldn’t make any stupid decisions. I just try to make sure I’m not alone on those days.

My best friend is 35 and she still posts selfies every single day on Facebook. She’s such a wonderful woman with so much potential and it makes me sad how much she’s seeking validation from low value men. I did it when I was in my 20’s, but I’d be so embarrassed to do it now. I don’t know what to say to her. I’ve told her so many times she could be spending this time working on her business, but she spends all day on Facebook, complaining that she’s unemployed and can’t find a man. I don’t know …

I had a man tell me once that he never uses a condom because he doesn’t sleep with “dirty girls”, so he will never catch anything. I got multiple STI’s from both my long term relationships from their cheating. One that I have for life. I also had my Fallopian tube removed due to damage from chlamydia. I haven’t had sex for 4 years now. What’s the point? I don’t orgasm anyway, and he’s only going to cheat on me and give me diseases.

Yeah, that’s it. They just don’t care. A man has never given me an orgasm and I’m 36. I orgasm every single time I masturbate, though. I’ve tried communicating with men during sex, but after they orgasm, that’s it. I’ve never had a man try bring me to orgasm once he’s finished. They either roll over and go to sleep, get up and shower, or sulk that I haven’t orgasmed. I always get the “DiD YoU CUm?!?” after they finish. How can they not know?! Who cares if these men believe the wall exist? So what? I couldn’t care less what they think. Why are we trying to prove something? I don’t place value on my appearance, and I don’t have superficial men in my life who think this way. We shouldn’t be placing so much worth on our appearance. That’s my #1 complaint too. I got a suspension because I disagreed with someone. Someone made a joke about sexual assault which triggered me and I didn’t find it funny. Yep!! I was in two long term relationships and they both cheated on me and gave me stds. One STD I have for life. Plus I had to get one of my tubes removed because of damage from chlamydia. Neither of my ex’s had enough respect for me to use protection while they were cheating. I never slept around and it’s so unfair. I haven’t had sex for years because of it. I don’t trust men at all now.

When my friend first met her husband she didn't find him attractive. He's not an attractive man. For 2 months she rejected him. But then she got to know him, fell in love with him and now she finds him attractive. She's married to him now with 2 kids and absolutely adores him. I don't believe men can be alone either. After my parents got divorced, my dad got into a new relationship immediately. He said he still loved my mum but he just couldn't be alone. He had no idea how to cook or clean. And my brother goes from one serious relationship to the next. I've never known him to be single in his 40 years. Yeah, I understand your point, but I’ve literally had men tell me they aren’t attracted to me because in their words “you have the body of a child”. I am super petite. My last ex was mean about it and refused to have sex with me in the end because he wanted someone bigger. These comments have come from men, not women. I’ve never had a woman put me down for my body. I actually never realised women liking tall guys was a thing until I started dating online when I moved overseas to France. Every second guy had their height on their profile and I thought it was weird. I’m Australian and I just don’t think height is a big deal there. I dated a short guy for years and his height never even crossed my mind. I never even thought about it until he brought it up. It just doesn’t mean anything to me. It’s not like they can change it. I don’t get the fixation on it.

He told me I couldn’t satisfy him, I’m not exciting enough, he was watching porn multiple times a day, he said he wasn’t attracted to me anymore and was cheating on me... even though he said he was …

I shared my story about my ex on Reddit the other day and someone responded "Why would you stay with a man that clearly couldn't stand you?" It never once crossed my mind that he couldn't stand me. Of course he hated me! Treating me badly is not how someone treats you when they love you. He would cheat on me, pull my hair in public and push me, laugh at my body, refuse to have sex with me or touch me. He openly hated me and I couldn't see it. Of course he stayed around. He got free rent out of i…

I read this book back when I was at my peak pickmeisha stage. Didn't change a thing. I kept on doing the same old shit. I think the realization has to come from within. It took me years to realize it on my own. One day a light switch just went off. And of course, FDS helped too.

It’s a Europe thing too. It’s happened to me in Europe. I was dating a guy for months, seeing each other every day, meeting his parents and friends, etc. When I found out he started seeing someone else, I got upset and he said I’m “crazy” and not his girlfriend. He got me pregnant for Christ sake. Where do you live in Europe? This happens to my female friends all the time in Paris.

Yep! My ex was talking about marriage after knowing me for 2 weeks! My friend told me it was a bad sign and to be careful. She was right. He was not only dating me but multiple women at the same time! I spoke to those women and they told me he also spoke about marriage with them after 2 weeks. It was all a manipulation tactic.

I’m not French, I’m Australian. I never met a good guy there, neither did any of my friends. There’s so much choice in women that cheating is rampant. Both my French male and female friends admitted that they cheat. Dating in France is all about “passion”, so relationships tend to be superficial. I think in Australia we prefer to date someone that’s our best friend. I’m sure there are good guys in other areas of France, but everyone in Paris is an asshole. I’m so glad I left that place.

I don’t have children and don’t want them, but this case makes me feel physically ill and I get chills every time I hear about it. I’ve never had such a strong reaction to a case like this. I think it’s because there are so many videos of the girls and I felt like I knew them. The video of Bella singing “daddy is my hero” completely crushed me.

I still can't believe he murdered his entire family so he could be with that disgusting excuse for a woman.

He probably was at the time! This is why it's so dangerous to date when you are in a bad place mentally. A man shouldn't be the best thing that has ever happened to you. It's a reminder that we should never be searching for a man to "save" us.

Oh god. This story really messed me up when it happened. I can't believe he killed those beautiful babies. :( No one believed he could do something so heinous. His family and friends said he was such a great guy. It terrifies me that you can be married to someone and have no idea who they really are.

I have the same fear. I used to love journaling when I was younger. But one day when I was at school, my mum went through my things and found my journal and read it. She kicked me out of home for what was inside. (I wrote I had slept with my long term boyfriend). I was a slut in her eyes from that moment. Never again will I write down my thoughts.

I don't want to get married or have children. It's just not what I want in life. I would like to have a life partner, but the idea of marriage just isn't appealing at all for me. I have never wanted a wedding either. It's my worst nightmare to be the center of attention and spend all that money. I could give you a million reasons why! But it's just not for me :)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/09/20 11:21 AM

Ah ok, that makes sense. This should be put in the handbook somewhere because I see women who don't want to get married asking this question in this sub all the time.

I haven't had sex for years and my friends used to pick on me for it. When I was dating and had sex with men, I got pregnant on birth control and caught STD's. It was just a complete disaster. I felt like something was wrong with me for not having sex because my friends kept pressuring me. So, I removed those "friends" from my life. I also don't care if people think I'm a "prude". If I don't want to have sex, I don't have to! It's my body! I'm only going to have sex again if I find a man I reall…

So if you just got engaged to a man you're okay with him calling himself single? I don't understand this at all. Especially for us women who don't want to get married.

Is it bad that I don't agree with this? This is something that I struggle to agree with on FDS because I don't want to get married. In Australia, if you're living together you are in a "de-facto relationship" which means you have the same rights as if you were married. Same in France with the "PACS" (pacte civil de solidarité). If I agree with my partner that we are in a committed relationship, I do not agree that it means we are both still single. If he cheats it's an excuse that he was "single…

I’ve googled this before too and I’m 35. I’ve never been treated nice in a romantic relationship, I’ve only ever been abused. I’ve never even had a boyfriend take me out for dinner. I’m so grateful for this sub for making me realize my worth. Hopefully one day I can experience this feeling. If not, I’m totally happy being single. I’m finally free.

I think the first step will be to find someone to talk to about your depression. When I had depression I used online counseling services such as BetterHelp because I didn’t feel comfortable talking to a counsellor in person. I also joined an online support group for people leaving abusive relationships and that was incredibly helpful. It’s important to speak to someone about your childhood trauma so you don’t enter another abusive relationship in the future. You need to find your worth. You are …

Be careful of love-bombing in the beginning. You don’t know if this guy is a HVM yet! Every single LVM I dated put on a facade in the beginning. Be careful you don’t fall for it until you really know this guy. Dangerous territory... The sociopath I dated also turned down sex with me in the beginning. It means nothing.

Oh god, I’m so embarrassed with my past self. I was the ultimate Pickmeisha. I stayed with a man who I knew was cheating on me. I even suggested an open relationship because I didn’t want to lose him. I don’t know what the fuck I was thinking and I cringe about it every single day. How does everyone deal with the shame? Sometimes I fantasize about cutting everyone out and starting a whole new life.

Your intuition was correct! I had something similar happen to me - we were sitting at home and he told me he was going for a run because we had been at home all day. As soon as he left I felt SICK. I had this thought pop into my head that he was going to see another woman. I thought I was crazy for thinking this, but I had to lie down because I felt so sick. An hour passed, he still hadn't come home and it was dark and pouring with rain. I called him and he took ages to answer. When he picked up…

I’ve been in a physically abusive relationship and I didn’t leave because I was scared. Scared he was going to hurt me or my family. He threatened to burn down my family home if I left him. Leaving an abusive man is the most dangerous time. 75% of domestic violence-related homicides occur upon separation. I’ve also been in an emotionally abusive relationship and I didn’t leave because he made me believe it was my fault. I thought if I could change he would treat me better. And a lot of women don…

I accidentally got pregnant from a man I had just started dating. It was an ectopic pregnancy. My fallopian tube burst and I was rushed to the ER in an ambulance. One of my friends who is a HVW has an awesome husband, two kids, her own career and house, she’s killing it. And she’s not conventionally attractive. She told me that she feels sorry for me because I’m attractive because I attract so many bad men that only care about my looks. I walk down the street and I get harassed by feral men. I don't think this is about loving or hating sex. I love sex too, but it has always come with drama for me. I used to have FWB's and it was always so complicated. I've gotten pregnant, been given STD's, had an ectopic pregnancy, been cheated on. It's all too much stress. I love sex, but my mental health is more important. So that's what I've chosen.

It's actually the opposite for me - my dad was a wonderful and kind man but my mum treated him like shit and he doted on her, bought her flowers every week, etc. It was damaging to see as a child because I grew up thinking abusive relationships were normal. All my relationships in my life have been abusive because that's all I knew. I wish he had stood up for himself. I grew up to be him and let my partners abuse me.

Holy shit. He was cheating on her for 8 years?! This kind of shit scares me. I don’t know how I can ever trust a man again. You’re not overreacting - you’re getting played. I’ve been through this exact situation. And guess what? He was with multiple other women - that’s why he was busy! I don't think she gave up her dreams at all. She still runs her own businesses and has just started her own skincare line. From what I saw from her vlogs, she was going for the experience. She never intended to stay in India forever. I'm not a Niomi fan girl or anything, but we shouldn't assume that SHE was the one who got dumped. "Women are children are most commonly the ones who end up in poverty. " This upsets me too. It's why I always tell women to get an education and have your own source of income. It's so important. My ex stopped during sex to tell me that I’m a turn off. Because I called him babe.
