Point being that a lot of “needs” a term rarely defined and when defined often comes down simply to activities you can by and large do with people you don’t sleep with or date.

I believe the comment was in regards to relying on one person for all your “needs”. Romantic and sexual yes, but those aren’t the only needs people have nor do they make up the majority. Most ppl will fill in their family friends and community and have needs met by other people in their social circle. Marriages don’t fail all because of monogamy, the reasons marriages fail span the gambit from communication, trust issues, money issues, stress from raising a family of infidelity.
