This is the key: the young man. I think older men can not process the fact that young women overwhelmingly want young men. I think older men believe that all that matters is their paycheck. Historically, women needed to marry a man to provide for her. It was the man who based his choice on looks and youth. Now that women have their own careers, they don't need to choose a man predominantly for his resources. Women can use looks and youth as criteria, too. Younger men are a natural fit for young …

I agree with you. Women in their early 20's are not more mature than their male peers. That's why older men can bamboozle them. If young women really knew about life, they would stay away from these old men who play them like a fiddle.

I agree with this. I keep hearing from men that women don't care about looks and that we only want status and resources. If this were true, most women in their early 20's would be with men in their 50's and beyond. However, most young women partner with young men. This is because young men are hotter and turn women on more. They have the body, swag and muscles that women desire.

You make a good point about the young man: He has potential. A 25-year-old man may not have the salary and other resources that a 35-year-old man has. However, the younger man will probably advance with time as he gets along in his career. This makes him desirable to a woman his own age as they can grow through life together. They are more likely to be peers and to have an egalitarian relationship than with the older, established man. This sense of equality can be very appealing to a modern woma…

I think older men have trouble processing the appeal of young men. For centuries, most women needed to marry a man for his resources. This gave the older man an advantage over his younger counterpart, and he could have his pick of young women, so he assumed these women naturally wanted him. However, in today's America, women have the option to date and marry according to their own desires. What they want is a man close in age. They never really wanted those old men.

Well said! The young man is a crucial part of the young woman's dating life. Older men tend to believe that only men desire youth for its own sake in a partner. They assume that all they need is a job, and women won't notice the ravages of time on them. Many are oblivious to how creepy and inappropriate countless women feel about advances from older men, even those with resources. Another thing about younger men is that they often get their act together with time. They finish college, get a real…

Men make a big deal about how they are biologically programmed to always be attracted to young women. No matter how old they themselves get, 40's, 50's, 60's and beyond, they most desire women between 18 and 24. Men say that this gives them an evolutionary advantage. Fair enough. I tend to believe that women, especially young women, are wired to mate with young men. This is because not only do younger men have the most viable sperm, they are most likely to have the ENERGY and TIME to help care f…

I keep telling men that it's a delusion that young women want old men. The overwhelming majority of women find men their own age attractive, so young women go for young men with their body, hair, beauty, smooth skin, teeth, stamina, swag, etc. Old men always say I'm wrong. They refuse to let go of that fantasy and accept the truth of their own aging. They'd rather see themselves as virile, desirable and youthful rather than as fat, bald, pot-bellied, wrinkled old guy in the mirror. It's actually…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
