I'm glad to see somebody say this, this line of thinking seems to be forbidden in most places. Categorising transgenderism as a form of mental condition doesn't mean not supporting trans rights. Harm to others notwithstanding, everyone has the right to pursue happiness as best they can with the hand they're given. Hormone replacement and gender realignment surgery are extreme as treatments go, but they're legitimate treatments.

Sorry, that doesn't remotely wash. There's reams of information in there which challenges or dismantles the assumptions you put forward as arguments. And you're pretending it doesn't exist because there's also some frustrated language, then claiming it's others who aren't up to putting 'thought' into what they say. It's an obvious and feeble evasion, and everyone who reads this can see through it easily.

You miss my point: the story here is the gross failure to properly count victims of rape because of their sex, or because of their attackers' sex. The headline: 1) Suggests that the story is about perpetrators escaping rape charges 2) Furthers the males-as-assailants narrative trope, and removes the possibility that women can rape. Because of course it does Maybe it should've been the word 'men' that I highlighted.

Technically yes, but effectively no. While exchanging sex for money is legal, all the activities that facilitate it, like solicitation and pandering, are outlawed. So in answer to the original question: I don't know. The reality is that male erotic massage is tolerated, and fairly easy to come by, but you would never see the services reviewed in the national press.

They're not. 0% VAT items are selected by the UK government from an EU approved list. Razors aren't on that list, so putting them at 0% would be illegal under EU law. To be fair to the writer, she won't have written the headline or the standfirst, nor will she be able to just get it changed by clicking her fingers. They're the product of the usual Guardian editorialising. When she says "I ... had forgotten that other people have suffered at the hands of trusted female relatives", I think that she's referring to not making that point in the article itself.

It's disgusting, although at least by the age of 4 - in most cases - the foreskin will no longer be fused to the glans of the penis. For obvious reasons I'm reluctant to say that involuntary genital mutilation at any age is "better", but there are serious additional complications when it's done in infancy.
