I think "be yourself" gets misinterpreted a lot as "you don't need to work on yourself" when it should more accurately be phrased as "work to become the best possible version of yourself and success will follow"

Yeah it's gonna sting to move on from the girl I'm interested now, pretty uncommon for me to meet someone who's on the same wavelength as me without being overbearingly religious but that's life.

You know I think I might make a followup post with some things I've realized after I made that approach and wrote this post with how there's some parallels to my hobby of competitive shooting. It's not exactly the same but I think I see some overlap.

I appreciate the feedback. I think I agree with you about giving my number vs asking for hers. I was feeling nervous and just went with what my friends suggested.

I'm definitely overthinking it, but I'll keep trying until I'm able to do it without having to consciously think through it.

A lot of lessons from Meditations by Marcus Aurelius are applicable to mindset.

I'm white as fuck and Vietnamese girls on dating apps seem to think I'm a 10, so, counterpoint to that hypothesis.

I think just saying no or that they have a boyfriend is a perfectly valid reason, maybe you just have bad luck but there's really not that many lesbians out there as per the statistics, so those girls probably are insecure themselves and want an easy way out that doesn't offend. If a girl actually responds with "you can walk away now" I'd actually consider that a win because you can now advise your friends not to bother with her because she's incredibly rude, assuming you're moderately competent…

Several girls mention they'd be cool with being approached in the grocery store in the video OP links. Looking at your comment reply to the OP, I think you might want to make a conscious effort to look for girls who are your type. This is something I've had problems with myself, but I'm not sure what your situation is.

I'm gonna make a statistically safe guess and say you've never spoofed your location to Saigon, Vietnam. For a decently in shape, white, average Joe American, Vietnam really seems like easy mode.

Any advice for someone who's socially anxious around people he doesn't know? For a sense of context, reading about you approaching hundreds of girls actually stressed me out and I'd really like to change that.

I've been described as "good looking average joe" (asked a gay buddy for a sanity check). Going off the metric of tinder matches, women in Saigon must think I'm a 9 or 10.

Ever change your location to Saigon or something in Tinder? I'm lucky to get two matches a month in the states, in two days I was approaching 20.

Just to build on this, recently asked a girl out, first time in a while (pretty big approach anxiety and social anxiety in general) to find out she's actually in a relationship (was told she was single). Instead of getting butthurt I explained that I was under the impression she was single and played it cool. My thinking was that she probably has at least one girlfriend that's single and would be attracted to me. So in doing so I gain a friend and more opportunities to get introduced to people t…

Life has no meaning So why shouldn't I blow my brains out right now? Whole lot easier than trying to fuck thots. Nah man, life does have meaning. I've got loaded guns sitting right next to me, I could end it whenever I wanted, but I wont because there's more to life than getting girls.

What is The Problem and why is hate a part of it? Hate is part of the human experience. Communists have murdered people from my family and denied us the ability to reunite through their repression of information. I hate communists and communism. The real question to ask is: Is this hate justified? Evil is real, it should be hated, but what is evil? That's a tricky question that I don't have answers for other than the obvious stuff like Nazis, commies, murderers, pedophiles, etc.

That's not true. The alt right is an actual movement with principles. They call themselves the alt right because they were at odds with the mainstream right on several key issues. However you are correct in that the media calls everyone that doesn't follow the narrative alt right.

I'm sure other states do it, but I only know Florida law, Florida has a little grace period, I think it's 16-23 is legal. I think if there were multi tiered thresholds there wouldn't be problems like this.

The situation I posit involves the state raising welfare payouts to single mothers.
/r/MensRights10/03/16 10:02 PM
-1

This is assuming the state doesn't give her welfare to pay for the children. This is a hypothetical statement. It is not reflective of current levels of welfare for child support.
/r/MensRights10/03/16 09:54 PM
3

Do nothing and you have the potential for creating an even more expensive problem. Or people realize you have to be careful with pregnancy because children are expensive and the rate of unwanted pregnancy goes down, personal responsibility goes up, people win.
/r/MensRights10/03/16 09:34 PM

This is assuming the state doesn't give her welfare to pay for the children. The state is the source of these perverse incentives in this situation.

FBI UCR Stats for 2012. Granted it doesn't specifically say that men are more at risk for being attacked while alone (pretty specific scenario) but on the whole, men are murdered much more than women, thus it's not completely unreasonable to assume that they're also murdered alone at night more often then women.

If there were some less biased sources for the claims I might be inclined to look into them, but I've really never gotten the cult-ish feelings, and I've watched quite a lot of his stuff.

Are you referring to the "don't talk to your parents if they're shitty to you" thing? He's explicitly stated, multiple times, that you should absolutely talk to a therapist if you consider doing that. I really don't see how that's culty.

I'll try to respond to your post how a feminist once tried to debate me. clears throat "No"
/r/MensRights20/06/14 04:32 AM
3

Just to be clear, I'm referring to people who have the actual medical condition where they are in their mind the opposite gender, its not a wishy washy thing where people bounce back and forth cause they just feel different one day. Changing one's political views and changing one's gender are two totally different things and really not comparable at all.
/r/MensRights16/06/14 02:52 AM

Being effeminate or masculine does not determine your gender. What you identify as is your gender, which does not readily change.
/r/MensRights16/06/14 01:42 AM

I understand that trans people exist, but that doesn't mean that you chose your gender any more than you chose your sexuality.

Fucking thank you. I wouldn't call myself an MRA (definitely sympathetic to the cause), but the media calling Roger an MRA is just factually wrong and you can tell that they only watched that one YouTube video or maybe another one but didn't bother to read his manifesto at all. People just want to see what they want to see to advance their agenda.
