They need to believe, and make others believe, that being opposed to prostitution and porn equals being "whorephobic" (or whichever clown term is trending) because they know deep down that we are right, and they are unable to counter our arguments. Therefore it is necessary for them to twist our words. The bourgeois idiots who sell their used underwear online and spend time one social media glorifying "sex work" are insecure and overall mentally unhealthy. They NEED a cope, because facing the gr…

"Often father and daughter look down on mother (woman) together. They exchange meaningful glances when she misses a point. They agree that she is not bright as they are, cannot reason as they do. This collusion does not save the daughter from the mother’s fate." Bonnie Burstow, Radical Feminist Therapy: Working in the Context of Violence

It's hard to know what really is going on in Ukraine bc of all the fake news coming from so many sides. But I have the impression, based on photos and articles, that Ukrainian men have stayed behind to fight (some women have, too) and the refugees fleeing are mostly women and children. Is there a cultural reason behind this phenomenon? In the past few years, we have seen Syrian and Afghan refugees coming to Europe and they were overwhelmingly men. The photos of cargo planes leaving Kabul last su…

Good for you! I actually also sent an email to another "therapist" (Philippa Perry) from the Guardian last week, about her absolutely terrible response to a woman writing that she'd felt betrayed by her husband's porn use. The article was linked on this sub a few weeks ago. What is it with the Guardian's advice column?? I'm not holding my breath for a reply, but it's important we let them know our opinion!

I LOVED Savannah's mention of birds! LOVED the shoutout to Princess BB, the Japanese white-eye 🥰 such a niche reference haha, I never would've expected it to be mentioned on FDS. I adore birds, partly because I love that males bust their a** to be as impressive and beautiful to get attention from females. I do wish it were more like that with humans!

Hi girl, I'm sorry you feel sad. I relate to your story because I had a breast augmentation at 21 and I have been feeling similar shame, regret and even anger. I was extremely flat-chested (like really flat, not in a Kate Moss way) and I used to feel so ugly and abnormal as a teenager. I didn't really mention my insecurities much but deep down I felt so unworthy. I attracted toxic men and thought I didn't really deserve to be loved and respected. I'm only coming to terms with all of it now, 6 ye…

Preach!! I love FDS because I learn so much from all you smart queens. All the genuinely spicy, thought-provoking, radically feminist takes I see on here feel like an antidote to the faux-subversive libfem poison we get fed every day.

It took me a long time to realize that attention does not equal respect. And although having that realization felt crushing and infuriating, it actually made me have a mindset shift: why was I focusing so much on winning male attention and approval when 99% of males are mediocre/violent scrotes? The value they give you for being a young fuckable woman is fleeting, their opinion is worth very little. I realized I could spare that energy and channel it into much more rewarding things - working on …

Congratulations for holding yourself accountable without putting yourself down. Your honesty is an inspiration! I used to hate myself for having been a raging pickme, but I'm starting to forgive myself as I level up. I was really naive and cognitively dissonant. I'm just starting to see the valuable lessons I can learn from my past mistakes, in great part thanks to all the based queens on FDS. As they say, you can't have a future if you hate your past. Here's to levelling up!

I'm sure this was touched upon in one of the FDS podcasts, but often they strive to have great careers/material wealth IN ORDER TO exert their narcissistic behaviour. Also, their mask slips when they use the "good" things they've done to guilt trip the victim.

This is SO accurate and insightful. I know someone who might be in this situation. She has been in a relationship with a scrote for several years (forever GF) who looks HV, but is a covert narc. It took me a while to realize his true nature. She is extremely smart, but is stuck in cognitive dissonance regarding him. I often wondered how that could be, but your post has helped me understand. He has some HV traits which allow him to subtly serve the bullshit. He is educated, has a high-earning and…

Wait so they want their partner to wear $1200 lingerie but they won't buy it for her?

Being introverted doesn't equate being unable to have conversations/connect with others. For example, my sister is an introvert but she still has friends. I am acquainted with a scrote who describes himself as an introvert, but in reality he's just an awkward creep that nobody likes (which is why he hasn't been able to make any friends since living in our city for several years lol). If an introverted person really likes you, they will open up over time and make efforts. I have the impression th…

I used to always wax because my exes liked it and I had internalized the (p*rnsick) idea that a hairless vulva was the only acceptable look. I'm single and not looking rn so I'm only trimming my pubic hair from time to time for convenience. I do agree with the poster saying hairlessness heightens sensations. However, hairless pubes are not actually "cleaner", there's a reason we have hair down there. Theire role is to be a barrier against nasty bacteria! Also, I've heard many ppl say men being o…

Ugh this makes me think of an Atlantic article I read yesterday - it's commenting on that other WSJ article that was recently posted here. To be fair I thought Richard Reeves, the specialist interviewed by The Atlantic, was making interesting points and I thought "toi good to be true, there must be a catch" and indeed, he proceeds to say: “My biggest worry is that by the time policy makers realize that gender inequality in college is a problem, we’ll have hit a point where college will seem deep…

When the therapist is good, that is! It may take a few tries before finding the right one. Working on yourself is difficult but worth it in the end.

You could seek therapy to help find out if you tend to gravitate towards men who aren't good for you, and why that is. We often unconsciously replicate childhood patterns in our romantic relationships, because they feel familiar. I used to be interested in men who were narcissistic and unavailable because surprise, they reminded me of my dad (summarizing here for the sake of brevity). I am currently doing therapy to work through all this. When I first met my narcissistic ex, I felt like the star…
