Sidebar yes, but in your situation OP, I would suggest the tic for tac method, that is, message her only after she's messaged you back and be sweet and flirty only if she reciprocates. Don't be afraid to sprinkle in there a couple of quick messages as well (like a one or two word response), just to mix things up a little. Never drunk message. And most importantly, don't be too quick to reply back, match her response times.
