you being willing to consider change is something a lot of people dont even approach in their lives. Personally i found i still supress my inner emotions while still being honest, just when someone you actually like asks how you are doing tell the truth, but you dont have to start crying, or break down. and please dont take my advice as gospel, im not perfect, just putting a warning sign on behaviours i used to do, and the ways it can be counterproductive

That's a couple of weird takeaways my man, not deferring to your partner to make decisions isn't really a good lesson. Why did you feel the need to be the leader in the relationship? Isn't it a partnership. The rest of your advice I like, but it seems like you have a very traditional mindset which might be preventing you from coming to terms with all of your behaviours I haven't read the other post so this is just conjecture from the wording of a couple sentences

I think every guy goes through this at least once, if you are over her, maybe start a friendship, it's good practice for later on in life. It sucks, but what gets me through it personally is asking myself if I want a one sided relationship. You shouldn't, your a person who deserves more than that.

I agree if you don't want to express petty emotions that's ok, but if you notice yourself being upset by something you should try and express how you are feeling to yourself. You sound exactly like I used to, and I know I didn't handle it well, I used to explode every 6 months, and when I wasn't exploding over something I felt like I was lying to everyone around me, and felt like the person everyone liked wasn't me. If you don't have these problems maybe you can suppress it, but I know the peopl…

I wouldn't suggest staying like that unless you don't have a choice. You don't always get the option to avoid people, and it's really not fair to lash out at those you care about enough to keep around. Self expression is really cathartic and you should try it. Write yourself something, in a journal. Or paint, or communicate, or just express how you are feeling honestly in a private space I was like that for a long time, and my problems didn't go away, no matter how successfully I hid my expressi…

My go to is to go for a walk at night, find a nice quiet place and express everything I was holding in, then be kind to myself, I found one day after work I broke down and had a fantastic cry, I verbalised a lot of my fears and regrets and forgave myself for them. I found therapy is a great way to gather the tools to express yourself, even if you are alone My other recommendation is to be honest, with who you are and how you are feeling, even if you are in the middle of suppressing it. Obviously…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
