Yes and no. Yes, the background can influence a person of they are not consciously working on becoming a better person, attending therapy etc. On the other hand with enough effort many people can and will change. Plus it's not guys who usually attempt to save the woman but the other way around, with women statistically ending up with worse savings, mental health and general outlook.

Yeah, irl i approached like two to three guys. And when it comes to online, i was often the first one to start an interaction. Didn't have any negative experiences per se, only neutral ones when nothing came out of it.

Never. I am very open on the dating stage with the fact that I have been with other people and that I'm a kinky person. I have pretty graphic items in my bedroom and lots of toys which I'm not shy to propose to look at/use with the other person (all kept clean and sterilised). I don't have many past sexual partners, but I've done some unconventional things and if my partner would be prudish about it, I wouldn't want such a person in my life - it's completely okay tho, if it's just not their cup …

I would say I am a strong B - marriage with a proper partner would be of great value to me on an emotional level, I would love to be with this one person and build our future together. Still, it's not something I push for and in case a relationship fall through I will not try to replace it asap so that I can get a wedding, I would probably become a C then.

"If he wanted he would" - there are plenty of men who have mental conditions or past trauma holding them back from acting. "My man can't watch porn, cause that's cheating" - seems so fckin insecure, especially when they add that the guy may watch porn but under no circumstances can pay of it. It basically says my guy can use other women's sexual images, but can't let the women who create them earn profit cause that's "dirty".

I would say that depends on people involved. For me a question about last relationship is normal, cause I had too many men play the "I ended it last month and only want to fuck you without commitment cause I am still so hurt". Sexual past tho would be an instant turnoff for me - even though I am a "first type" person I would think the person is judgmental+possesive towards sexual pasr and I don't need this kind of energy in my life.

It's extremely rare for me to think a guy is attractive from the start. The ones I had a crush on would initially be categorised as okayish from the physical level and then I would get to know them closer, become attracted to them. Especially when they would ask me if I know about X and if I wanted to hear about it more - it's so hot when people talk about their passions.

No one "gets the same" when you compare ONS and LTR sex - it has already been talked in this sub over and over again, but women are much less likely to truly make effort during ONS or try out the kinkier stuff, as it requires lots of trust on both parts. Besides sex is not a transaction, where you can go and complain that person X had been given the sex for free, while the other person "had to" spend more time and energy. No one takes me on dates - we go on dates together. No one spends money on…

It always baffles me how angry men are that women's attention isn't just something they're entitled to, but have to earn. In the days, when most people can happily fare on their own, it's only natural that woman will feel like if someone is interested in adding value to their single life, they need to prove they can do so. This is not a game where you get the "gray" mediocre items with minimal effort - each person is an unique human being who will require the other to match their standards befor…

It happened a few times, I was usually pretty receptive unless someone was really drank or behaved in a manner that raised red flags (stayed to close, tried to touch me, used condescending language). I also given my number twice to guys that I found cute and wanted to strike a convo later, including a really good looking waiter at a restaurant. In most cases we would exchange a few texts and it would die out, but with one I became pretty good friends later on.

I don't know about tinder, but as a separate product it would act really cool. It's practically impossible to have true conversations with people, when you're encouraged to swipe endlessly and match with a person after a person. I've done something similar while on Tinder - I would speak to around 5 people at a time, meet around 2 of them and only when things didn't work out come back to swiping. But the app is built so that you truly feel like you're doing something wrong, if you're not always …

I am a bi woman so I date both men and women. Including other bi women, who are potentially in your target as well - some of them are perfectly capable of forming full sentence messages. Honestly, I have encountered as much unemployed or barely scraping, low educated women, as men with minimal ability to function in society, who still dream of becoming a rapper or music DJ, while communicating mostly by emojis. Situation changes a bit in the countryside of course, where you're much more likely t…

Well, it depends on a woman. Most of my female friends are not going for casual sex while being single and the ones that go sleep with a high number of people, so it could seem like ONS are happening to everyone. It's also pretty rare to meet fwb via offline ways - I know cause I helped screen some guys for my friends, when they met through dating apps or kink community online.

Honestly, sex is much better with a potential ltr person, if you wait a bit. You get to know each other, discuss preferences beforehand, feel safer in an emotional way so you can relax better and enjoy the intimacy on a deeper level. I am not an ons type of girl, but if I just wanted a quick nice orgasm I have great toys for that - when I dated it was only natural for me to wait, not "withhold" anything. For the second scenario, I have been there and got burned by trying to remain casual with su…

High quality, attractive, mentally stable women almost never need to use online dating, because high quality attractive men are already asking them out in real life Nah, it's same as with job applications - even if there is a pretty nice company and a position, hundreds of applications are shitty and you still might need to reach out to the truly good candidates directly. Plus, with how busy "high quality" people are, online dating can truly be a lifesaver. Like, if you have a truly demanding an…

I discussed n-count only once, years ago, when I was just entering the dating scene and from then on I've never found it important. It's cool if the other side have had more or less experience, as long as they made sure to be healthy are are clean the moment we decide to become intimate. I wouldn't say that not disclosing this info to a partner that cares is rape, although it's hard for me to understand why someone would like to be with a person, who feels entitled to one's sexual past and numbe…

When they start off by talking shit about people who are, theoretically speaking, close to them. Sure, I love a good dose of complaining and we all need to went sometimes, but then we start a new thing and from the first step I hear the other side tell bad things about their close friends/family I say goodbye off the bat.

This "wrong breath" is usually just a first red flag that we learn to notice after sugarcoating actions of past exes, who all seemed nice at the beginning. No abuser wears a t-shirt with a warning and the fact is that practically every women will get harassed or assaulted somehow. I guess it's pretty comfy to speak about how we exaggerate things, when you are not the one getting stalked/molested/raped/killed. Also, if you think that birth control is 100% effective, there is a lots of sexed educa…

I would say that single women generally attend the events, where they are safe from unwanted attention. When I went out in the past or go out solo today, I would usually go with a friend or two to have fun in a small, closed of group and choose places where interactions with other people were uncommon. When it comes to giving up on dating, well, if you get manipulated in your teenage years/early twenties it's only natural to resign from looking for a companionship, when you have a wide network o…

We are not a monolith. Not a hivemind. Not some kind of AI with united thinking process. Sure, the society conditions us in certain ways, just as it pushes guys to like football, don't show emotions and be a gentleman, but ultimately a lot of women find their own ways of living, building relationships and realizing their potential. Most of the "strategies" and plenty of "advices" seem to be based on some kind of women as a legion, which makes their user blind to the uniqueness of the women in fr…

It happend twice to me. Both men were I guess pretty attractive, at least to me, spoke a lot about issues I valued, were from the same hobby group and agreed that they are also looking for a relationship while pursuing me, only to make an 180 after a few months of dating when I initiated "the talk" - then they said how they are truly only looking for a fwb. The first one actually manipulated me to stay in touch with him for some time, sexually assaulted me and done enough harm to give me a cptsd…

bell hooks The author of that book has some really insightful things, bot in the book you mentioned and "All about love". Speaking about male emotions tho - I think there is a great deal of internal work to be done by women, to fully be able to emphasize with them and be able to get rid of our internal prejudices. The work is especially needed when you had dealt with a person who used crying or emotional outbursts to manipulate you - this goes both for men and women to be honest, but from my exp…

I agree with number 2 and 3, but I have no idea how you want to work with the 1 point. The thing is, on the contrary to what Samuels said, many women who don't go into relationships by giving guys a chance are not "holding out" and don't care about being "a party of one". In a world where women are financially independent, have the ability to pursue practically any career or hobby and can get sex within an hour for free, if a person is not determinant to be in a relationship, they will just stay…

I didn't engage in causal sex mostly because I can't imagine being relaxed with a random guy, trust him enough to introduce anything more than classic PIV sex and even then I would probably have to share my location with a friend. And I would definitely not try to "please someone into becoming my partner" via physical intimacy. I can't see the ONS as nothing more than having fun with a person who is gonna disappear from your life tomorrow - why would anyone bother to go all the way out to please…

Not 50%, but also not 0% - especially in parenthood it's very important that both parents are involved. I would also help with his part, for example if something needed fixing I would do research about it, purchase tools/items for him to perform the task etc.

There double side dildos and vibrators specially constructed for pegging. Although, even with usual starpons many women get great pleasure from simply pleasing their partners via penetration with object (same goes for using dildos on the woman by their male partners). I would say that pegging a guy is as great as giving him head - it's hot, it's sexy and it's fulfilling on a more mental level.

My standards are high because I was perfectly happy by myself and only want to invite to my life someone, who actually could make it better. I want someone to be my equal in many aspects, so it was obvious that I had to look for someone in healthy weight range, with a good job, hobbies and interests to make them a good conversation partner, a high level of emotional maturity so we can both support each other and care for each other. As I like to say, everyone is entitled to high standards, no on…

Bi woman here, I enjoy people who are taller than me, healthy body weight (don't have to be muscular, I actually love a bit of softness to lay on). I enjoy being able to kinda hide in my partner's embrace, them resting their head on my hair when they hug me from behind. I also have a thing for hands, so nice long fingers are a plus.

I would not say that the experiences as a woman on dating scene are "minor inconvenience". Too many times I had to share my location, even though I was in a public place, cause the guy became dangerous really quickly. I had to leave dates after groping/forcing me to kiss, had guys pour me more alcohol in hopes of getting me drank enough to sleep with them (or at least that's the only thing I hope they had in mind). Had men try to get to know my address off the bat, one has tried writing to my wo…

What's interesting tho is that this lack of rationality is mostly showed by people holding back towards the sexual revolution, so you cannot connect those two facts in a plausible manner.

A bi woman in a relationship with a man here. No, bi women are not a majority of women - we are more common than lesbians I think, but definitely don't make more than a few percents of female population. When it comes to the gender of the other person, I would say that being with a woman is easier and less dangerous. You share a lot of lived experiences, have a higher probability for better sex life, more equally share household work. My only exes that I stay in touch with are the females ones, …

I would say there are to lists: a must have and nice to have. The first one is non-negotiable - for me it's the issue of marriage, children, religion (or lack therefore), political views. Those will stay and if there is a pretty guy not fitting the criteria we will say goodbye. Then the second category is more "flexible" - I would like someone to share my gaming habits, enjoy similar movies, have a certain living situation, like similar cuisine. They serve as an advantage, but won't throw a grea…

Confidence doesn't come from external stimuli, but the internal one, the ability to believe in one's value and possibilities. You don't seek external validation if you know your a cool person on your own and people are lucky if you decide to invite them into your life. Besides we all face rejection, ostracization, some of us have experienced sexual assault and still decide to date people of the same gender, as the preparator.

A person with a decent career most time is someone who makes conscious efforts to develop it, can focus on tasks at hand and commit to a certain endeavor - all of it is a major green flag. There is no scale for me in dating, but generally hearing someone be proud of their work and living a pretty stable life makes me more favorable towards them and shared future. If the person would boast about their successes, jobs etc. or was raising red flags, I would definitely end the dating there - I once …

I enjoy the emotional intelligence shown by active listening and being able to relate to what a person says. It could be small things - sending memes regarding a mentioned subject or buying a sweet in a flavor a person enjoys. For the other person to step up when I feel uncomfy or say how proud they are when I accomplish something. It's the kind of intelligence that says "I see you, I hear what you say, I support you". It's a bit trickier for, for example, people on spectrum, but once you observ…

"The role women play in dating is incredibly passive." I think you have a really narrow view on dating, especially bearing in mind that sapphic women exist. There are plenty bisexual woman, who are used to dating both men and women, being the active part and knowing how to navigate the dating scene even if they're not the hottest themselves. With my current male partners we took turns coming up with organizing dates ate restaurants. I also prepared a hot chocolate degustation for like 3rd date f…

Women are not some otherworldly creatures who, mysteriously lose the will to have sex overtime. We are human beings who, with age, gain many responsibilities which to great extent influence the energy for being intimate. It's usually the women taking care of the home, the kids, elderly relatives, while developing our own health issues with time - all of it influences the libido, which has been repeatedly proved by scientists. Let's not forget the fact that pregnancy and childrearing majorily fuc…

I fantasize about a sexual scenario either with a fictional guy that I find hot or about my partner. Even if I use toys I imagine that it's their tongue, fingers, dick. I hate porn but I very much enjoy looking at pics of me and my SO, sometimes I will just pleasure myself to his nsfw photos.

I never had a physical type to be honest, but I probably started noticing and appreciating more if the other person was somehow fit - not muscular, just somehow slim. Previously I was less picky, but since I want to be with my SO it's just a shift of priorities - I want someone who has a good physical health and exercise to keep it up, so we can hopefully live together for a long time in an active manner. The height never was a problem for me as I'm a pretty petit person and practically every gu…

My preference changed with experience and therapy. My father was an alcoholic, an abuser, a cheater. I had so many issues concerning fear to trust others, fear of a abandonment, seeking validation form individuals similar to him to "save" them from themselves. But luckily I had gone to therapy, got the professional help I needed. Now, when I came back to the dating scene some time ago, I could easily filter out the bad apples and say goodbye to them the instant a red flag was raised, instead of …

The cheater always finds a way - be it social media, party at the disco or simply meeting a rando in a cafeteria. For me sm is just another way of interacting with my SO - we share funny memes from shitposting groups, get ideas for trips together, see nice events in neighbourhood. It's not the tool but how you use it that's dangerous.

Just because you see those people are good, successful, chivalrous etc doesn't mean they are like that to their partners, plain and simple. Just as serial murderes could take a persona, lots of guys put on masks of being the nice guy while in private becoming overly jealous, controlling, overbearing etc. All you need is to understand that people act differently depending on situation.

We met through Tinder. He had really cool glasses and a meme that I actually snarked at so I swiped right. We talked for a few days on IG, finally decided to go grab a pizza cause good was a big part of our convo and he knew w really cool place. Then we would start playing online games together, meet for some creative dates (I organised a tasting of hot chocolates at my place, he has collected a set of sour candy for us to taste). I think this is spot on. There are so many people out there who decide to work through their problems by using others for fun, looking for all the benefits of relationship but no commitment. When I was on the dating scene actively looking for a SO this really discouraged me, cause they just loved to waste everyone's time in hopes of scoring a hookup.

A woman here. I never truly cared for the money of the other side, as long as they were able to make ends meet. My previous partners were usually on my level or lower, I used to even lend them money sometimes and never had a problem with that. A bit different perspective her, as I am a bisexual woman. For me the boundaries for opposite sex friendships are the same as for the same sex and, considering what I see around, they are pretty loose. It's normal for me to sleep in the same bed with friends, cuddle with them, sit on the lap, kiss their forehead. My closest friends are like a family to me, they are my "chosen" siblings. The same goes for my male partner - I am be more than happy that he can get platonic intimacy from people arou…

I dated a guy who, when coming to stay overnight, has worn pants that had around 5 holes in them. There were also instances, when I would want to go down on my exes and found pieces of toiler paper on their dicks. Let's not mention the fact, that some of them bought the second towel only after my comment. It didn't matter if they presented well in the streets - privately a lot of them were total slobs.
