evolution 101 (plain and simple, not the quackery you think you used as a strong argument) will tell you this is a VERY bad idea. why would mother earth want the genes of people who were not able to evolve to be able to compete? the stopping dating makes sense *for the individual *. for the species though, the genes of the actual warriors are the ones that should pass be passed down. not those of the ones who gave up.

that, or... men can do x-2 when women talk about penis sizes. that would bring size to real measures and save men's insecurities.

your statement is not "logic": it's opinion.

"judged"? no. it's a solution to a problem many men have. the thing is it may have undesirable side effects on their (already fragile) psyche and possibly behavioral as well. tricky...

that... or: the person who is stagnant didn't clarify they expected the other person to stay stagnant as well, aka, they also didn't know themselves enough to express that from the beginning and no, having a stagnant way of being and bit being capable of change is by no means the default or most desirable trait if that were the case, once we reach adulthood we would approach life with the same knowledge and skills we had up until that point, we would never learn from experience and trying new th…

more women being more educated and having better possibilities to earn more money?

no. l crying is an expression of pain, sorrow, and even joy. emotional availability means having room in your psyche for the needs and feelings of someone else besides oneself i think what you are trying to say is that being vulnerable in front of someone else is not always a good idea and i think that's very wise but if you notice, this is valid for both men and women it is true though, that is not widely accepted for men to show vulnerability, but again, both men and women can get startled whe…

correct. we all have it clear that those terms you mention are not equivalent. it seems you can't see that, though? there may be women who don't like to see their partners cry, as well there may be men who won't want to listen to their partner's needs and feelings. the point is that those preferences are not under the umbrella of the terms you used, and in particular "emotional availability"

you are confusing terms and dynamics. "emotional availability" is not equivalent to "vulnerability" or emotional dumping and tears. none likes to be used as therapist. your suggestion to go to therapy if one has "issues" is on point though. while at it, chances are you will develop self-awareness at the least, and possibly awareness of the internal lives of others, chances are you will find that fascinating and once you do, you may even become the emotional available partner anyone will enjoy to…

chris rock ETA: mentioning chris rock as a portrayer of wisdom is a poor clincher to an otherwise interesting conversation.

marriage may be a risk for men now. it's always been a HUGE risk for women all along. (look at the stats for violence against women in marriages)

hardly a privilege since there are no real or sustained benefits from "having it easier". obviously, for those who covet that (cuestionable) advantage it may seem it's such.

like in many other similar instances, the line is a confession: women are deserts == i've never inspired a woman's love; men are swamps == i consider myself (and perhaps other men) filthy entities

but it doesn't have to be that way. the reality is that many women won't find a partner either. romantic relationships are difficult to pull off for many people, men, women or otherwise and due to many different reasons. a time for reckoning is in the horizon, i think, where we will realize that there's no one size fits all when it comes to relationships and where the foundation necessary to have them flourish has to be addressed first, both as individuals as well as a society. addressing this t…

i think the arguments made here are *this * close to enlightenment. the only thing i would remove the idea that "women destroy everything". wether that's true or not, it's not a useful mindset to live by. it's more useful to think "i don't think i would be better if i were in a relationship with a woman because i would have a hard time negotiating, seeing and respecting boundaries in a healthy way". otherwise, knowing what we need and want AND following thru with that with conviction and without…

-ditch the "who's to blame" mindset and you'd have won half the battle -romantic relationships ("a partner") are not the only way to meet the need to connect with people at a deep level and feel supported and appreciated: cultivate friendships, community, volunteer work, hobbies that involve other people -put numbers to the assertions you make here ref who has partners and who doesn't; to see how they don't add up. you think most people have romantic relationships, but first, that's not true and…
