High n-count men aren't as universally praised as people think. Many think such men are degenerates, idiots or exploiters/abusers even.

People are heavily invested into the belief of female moral superiority, doubly so in romantic contexts. Hence why anything that makes women seem immoral or primitive is considered offensive. The usual tactic is to pile on the messenger and/or blame men, e.g. the whole "nice guy" meme.

I think you're romanticizing a lot. Physical labor is more likely to make you sickly than healthy/good-looking. Hygiene issues, untreated/badly treated diseases and malnutrition certainly do not cultivate attractive bodies either.

That might have something to do with the fact that becoming noticeably fit/muscular is a hell of an effort. Hardly comparable to simply not being overweight. Besides which, there is a legitimate gym craze among men and it coincides with the advent of smartphones, social media and online dating in the late 00s and early 10s.

Kind of both. Anyone who sports revealing or otherwise optically striking looks needs to deal with the fact that people of varying age, gender and attractiveness might pay them positive or negative attention. The line should be drawn at actual harassment and violence.

Women love seeing themselves as the virtuous, deep, innocent gender in romantic contexts because it's flattering, increases their attractiveness and lowers their responsibility. Men love projecting romantic profoundness on women because it shields them from a handful of harsh truths and, to lesser extent, enables laziness in regards to appearance.

Do you see people shaming men for using women for sex? Hell, men high five each other for "pumping and dumping women." Typical "man sluts" get celebrated within their circle of like-minded guys, but many other men think they're childish, trashy, manipulative or abusive even. They're not nearly as widely celebrated as women think. Besides which, their biggest supporters aren't high-fiving guys but the women who constantly fall for such men despite the red flags.

That's a lazy copout for women because men do the asking 9/10 times. Women make their own money and sure as hell aren't as willing to fulfill their gender roles as thoroughly. Besides the sheer arrogance of thinking your time is more valuable than mine. Thus, it's 50/50 or bust.

Looking and even a bit of staring is to be expected if you dress sexy or even "strikingly" in a general sense. That goes for everyone too, even handsome men who show off their muscles. Harassment or unwanted touching are not okay however.

Apart from her very obvious entitlement and hypocrisy, I think getting angry at having your offer accepted because you knowingly only did so to appear gracious is literally sociopathic behavior. And people here are defending this and call the guy in this story the social retard?

It’s a free discussion. Looks do matter. It’s a fact. It’s not even a direct assault towards you, yet you take negatively. Because it attacks the "women are morally superior" mantra and because complaints of (low value) men are like crushed glass in the ears of most people.

The very basic message of the black pill ("women are shallow too, men's looks matter") is absolutely true and the intense backlash against that is simply caused by men and women both projecting an image of romantic virtue onto women.

I think a lot of their foundations are relatively sound and truthful, e.g. male looks being far more important than mainstream society is willing to admit. However, it's way too absolute and the ensuing hate and defeatism is totally wrong. I consider PPD to be a sub discussing (sexual/romantic) gender relationships without the strict filters of mainstream society (which is very blue pilled). To me, incel ideology/black pill is also a part of that. Thus, PPD should allow this content if hate, tro…

Yeah, I noticed this too. Feminists here in Germany constantly seethe about women reducing their work hours to take care of their kids and household as if they're forced to do it. Sometimes they actually do acknowledge it's the women's own decision, but then simply claim that a nebulous patriarchy makes them choose that way.

The old "online dating isn't real life" argument might still have worked 5 or 10 years ago, but we're in 2020, seriously. It's like saying online shopping hasn't influenced retail or streaming hasn't influenced record sales, i.e. ridiculous. Online dating is literally the most popular method for couples to meet nowadays and has been so for quite some time. It heavily influences attitudes towards sex and romance, which includes high standards, frustration, resentment etc.

I see two groups who constantly engage in the "online dating is irrelevant and has nothing on meeting in real life" argument. Group 1 has made bad experiences with online dating and declares them universal. Group 2 doesn't like the implications the data and statistics of online dating provide. With a bit of technology aversion, of course.

People of both genders have strong preconceptions about women's superior moral character, doubly so in romantic and sexual contexts. Leaving lots of men in the dust and sharing a small pool of attractive men is considered immoral in our western cultures because it implies superficiality and primitivity in women, while the narrative firmly says women are empathic, virtuous and profound. Thus the notion of women engaging in such behavior is violently rejected and the people spreading such messages…

Male looks as a factor for romantic success are actually heavily underrated in mainstream discourse. Narratives about women's superior morality, which obviously includes them not being superficial, are extremely pervasive. Only through the widespread availability of data from online dating, in addition to men sharing their experiences over the internet, that dogma is reluctantly challenged. And no, dismissing online dating as some sort of seperated entity with no bearing on real life is an inval…

Women with "Doppelnamen" (double names) are not that uncommon in Germany. The usual association is middle-aged, severe, unfriendly shrew who does not have much respect for her husband. Very common in politics. My former neighbor was such a woman and she was a violent drunk who beat her husband and made him sit at a table in silence for hours.

Red Pill/Black Pill/MGTOW men are way too obsessed with prostitution. Does that come with being American? I'm from Germany, a country where prostitution is as legal as it can get and it doesn't change relationship dynamics in any meaningful way.

Why would anyone, let alone a woman want some stranger raising their kids while they participate in the work force. Feminists here in Germany want exactly that and regularly write pissy articles about women not doing what they want, i.e. wörk wörk wörk while kids are raised by state-employed strangers.

Single motherhood. For some reason, it's always depicted as some sort of fate women are subjected to at the hands of evil, two-faced men who change from caring (prospective) father to egomaniacal whoremonger all of a sudden. Men have barely any viable options to looksmax besides lifting. Not only are many male appearance-related flaws genetic and thus barely changable, measures to conceal those are also usually considered socially unacceptable, especially by women. Men wearing hairpieces or shoe lifts are considered laughing stock.

Age has a much stronger impact on a person's mentality, emotional baggage and similar aspects influencing a possible relationship than someone's bone length. It's not very comparable.

A normal man dating a woman with Down syndrome would be considered predatory, I'm pretty sure. Maybe not what you asked for, but a lot of older women in Europe and the US pay money to fuck and import Arabs, Africans and Jamaicans. I really hate this dismissive attitude. Seriously, it hasn't been that long since when saying "I'm a sexually unsuccesful man because I'm ugly" was met with absolutely nothing but sheer incredulity because this "women aren't shallow"-mantra is so pervasive in our culture. And even now many, many people firmly refuse to acknowledge male attractiveness as a critical factor for sexual success. I have noticed this as well, but it started way earlier. At least here in Germany, the most recent and still ongoing male gym craze started in the very late 2000s/early 2010s and it coincides pretty much exactly with the rise of smartphones, social media and online dating. Before that there have also been gym crazes, but they were a lot smaller in scale and much more short-lived, due to being mainly carried by pop culture (movies) and celebrities like Schwarzenegger.

Yes it is. Face is important too, but I'd say height is a bit more important because average height is perceived as short by women while average face is not considered ugly. Also height holds a presence and physicality that faces simply do not.

Classic "male hyperagency": problems are caused by men while women are neutral specators at best or acted-upon victims at worst. I mean, it's true that men are sometimes worse perpetrators or even the primary cause of a problem, but people, feminists in particular, often act like it's a black and white thing. Exaggerated to make a point: men are shallow perverts who only care about a woman's looks, women are virtuous angels who only care about a man's personality. Of course it's a bit more nuanced in reality, but in general women are considered to be morally superior, especially in romantic contexts.

I agree that the importance of male looks is criminally understated in order to preserve a fantasy of women's superior moral virtue and a general Just World fallacy. But in the end only very few men are so ugly that self-improvement and character cannot compensate. The vast majority of sexually unsuccessful men I know are more or less reclusive, awkward and/or unkempt, not horribly ugly.
